I've visited this location several times and realized I never reviewed it. It's pretty standard as far as Panera in general. The menu is pretty much identical to any other. The service has always been pretty good for me whenever I've come here. The place is clean and well-lit. I guess my only complaint is the configuration of the parking lot and drive through as it gets a bit dicey if there are many vehicles coming and going. read more

Ordered a "pick 2" combo of black bean soup and southwest chicken salad. The salad was good. The black bean soup has great flavor BUT it was too loose and soupy. It had about 2 tablespoons of black beans, and the rest was thin liquid. It was nothing like the photo they advertise. If you order black bean soup to go, check it before you leave. You may want to give it back and replace it with another soup. read more

Placed a mobile order for light dinner. Arrived after 15 minutes. Was unaware that each restaurant has its own driveway and parking lots, so had to turn around from the Chipotle. The order was ready on the Rapid Pickup shelves. The Caesar Salad in Value Duets was usual as expected. The Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup in Value Duets had many ingredients. I visited the Martinsburg WV location last week and was underwhelmed by the new menu. They dropped the flatbread pizzas which were my favorite menu item. I had a grilled cheese sandwich, which was pricey for a little American cheese and two slides of white bread. I thought that it could be something simple that could not be screwed up. I was surprised when it came and was two dry pieces of bread that were toasted with no butter and some flavorless fake cheese byproduct. Grilled cheese sandwiches should be made on a grill with butter on the bread. And for the price, should have real cheddar cheese . It appears they are trying to improve profit by making the food cheaper and charging more for it. I won't return here. read more

Everyone has an opinion based on their experience right... Please only read this if you are interested in mine. There is plenty of parking, and plenty of outdoor seating. The exterior and interior of the restaurant is neat manicured and well-maintained. The restroom, needs to be expanded. At this location, one urinal and one toilet is simply not enough in a men's room. Although the area was clean, it was just too cramped. The sink and urinal are far too close together. As I was waiting at the counter to pick up my food, apparently a staff member was on break. He was very rude, loud and just disrespectful to his fellow staff members who was apparently supposed to be making his food. I get that you want things made a certain way, but you and elbow-to-elbow with a customer and representing the brand...have some tact, or make it yourself. His language wasn't vulgar. But it was VERY condescending and unprofessional. The leadership at this location could stand to use a class in hospitality. I was given something extra on my tray that I did not order (yogurt). When I handed it to the manager, he looked at me with a very smug and confused look, even though I explained why I was giving him the item. He took it, it was not open, looked at me again and launched it into the trash. Just rude. But now I understand the behavior of the other "gentleman". The young lady who took my order was patient and very professional. She made suggestions and explained how the "Pick 2" option was best for what I wanted (a little of this and a little of that). When I left, I had a question about desserts and, again, she was very knowledgeable and willing to share her opinion. Had I initially encountered the 2 men I mentioned on my first visit or even at the start of my second visit, I would have simply left. I only returned a second time because of the great experience I had. Needless to say, there will NOT be a third visit. I visited this location twice (July 24 & 25). This Panera is very hit or miss, erring on the latter. Inside: Interior is outdated and could use a revamp, particularly the restrooms. Cleanliness ranges from below average to slightly above average depending on the day. Some of the seating is worn and tables can be wobbly. Food: Definitely glorified fast food so expectations should be set accordingly. Food is fine, but overall meh. Orders are often incorrect. Service: Some of the employees here are great, but otherwise service is lacking. I think part of it is the layout of this particular Panera. Because "back of house" isn't situated in the far corner of the restaurant you feel as if you're dining amongst the staff as they banter and complain, curse, and play around. I placed my order at 10:55am for a lunch pick up at 12:00pm along with two other coworkers. When we arrived to pick up the order, it was not ready. I received an email at 12:02pm that it was taking longer to get my order ready. While the place was busy with customers, no one at the registers or staff would help. We were told they saw our orders, but there were a lot of people ahead of us...... um, how? I placed the order over an hour ago! How did we end up behind all of the walk in orders when ours were placed online over an hour before. What's the point of ordering online with a pick up time if you can't count on it to be ready or someone to at least find our orders and say they're going to get them done ASAP? read more

Rolled into the Easton Panera with the kids as our last stop on the drive back from Virginia. Y'all know the deal with Panera, so I'll spare you a recap of the menu. There are some new items worth checking out, though: strawberry granola parfait (made with organic yogurt and fresh strawberries), strawberry smoothie, frozen lemonade, and vegetarian summer corn chowder. The kids' menu has only 3 items: PBJ, grilled cheese, or deli sandwich. They toss in a squeezable organic yogurt as well. Drink choices include organic reduced fat or chocolate milk or organic apple juice. This location was perfect for my crew. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I felt like a valued customer. Everyone I encountered gave a genuine "thank you." The bathroom was clean and included a changing table. There are several cool seating areas. We opted for two plush chairs and a small table--perfect for a little snack. I was pleased to be back in wi-fi land after traveling up the Eastern Shore. The outdoor seating area looks great too, alas, it was waaaaaaaaay too hot to eat out there on the day that we visited. read more

I've really been become a fan of "clean eating" and Panera has really filled this niche. Their meals are made with whole and good quality foods. Like most people, I stopped here because I was on the way to Ocean City. There were only 3 cars in the drive-thru line, so we really didn't expect to be in line for 30 minutes...but somehow that happened? I had ordered a Mac and Cheese, but the cashier at the window didn't give us any to go utensils. We wanted to ask for a spoon and some pepper packets, but the young blonde girl at the window shoved the bag out of the window, and then slammed it behind her. I guess I was supposed to eat scalding hot cheese covered noodles with my fingers, in the car? Sounds great. We also had an Chipotle Avocado Melt, which had one ROCK HARD chunk of avocado in the middle of the sandwich. I assume with all the beach traffic, this location always has business, which allows them to do the bare minimum while still making a profit. Service and quality were very subpar. First you should know Panera is our go to when traveling. Its easy, fresh and familiar. This Panera location was the first Panera we were so completely disappointed with in over 5 states. We did the Rapid Pick Up - first it wasn't rapid, second it was completely disgusting. The lunch meat on our sandwiches what slimy sour tasting and definitely beyond its use by date. Two of the four sandwiches were also made on the wrong bread and THAT bread was stale. Think twice before choosing this location and if you do choose it check your food before you leave. read more

UPDATE: tonight the customer service was top notch, food excellent and store in great condition. Tymeka is a great asset to this store. Perhaps we should consider corporate standards of uniform and a little better customer service. I am absolutely sick and tired of employees who do not listen. When I ordered a cup of soup, she ordered me a bowl. I didn't notice until I picked my order up and was half way through it (I honestly don't know what their soup sizes look like). So I ended up paying a dollar more because of a lack of listening skills. Food was good but as someone who works in customer service, I'm tired of people not paying attention. Also their wifi is mediocre (i.e. many websites don't load even with minimal people in the restaurant and they cannot seem to fix it). There is few plugs to plug a computer in. And if one more person gives me a water cup I did not ask for... ugh. I don't order a drink because a) I don't want one and b) I don't want yet another plastic cup. So thanks Panera. read more

I love Panera and everything they sell here. Maybe because everything is made with cream and/or butter?? I came with a mission. Cinnamon crunch bagel with cream cheese. We walked in and everything smelled like chocolate and butter. It didnt help when the server asked if I wanted to buy a freshly made chocolate chip cookie. She even explained to me that it was so freshly baked that she needed a spatula to scrape it off the baking sheet because it was so soft. DAMMIT. I ended up ordering two. They bagged it up for me and the greasy was seeping through the bag! Thats when you know a cookie is GOOD. And man, it was soooooooo good. I was coming out here on my way to a conference in Cambridge and wanted to stop for a bite to eat. I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. The place was busy being the tail end of lunch and it was among a new-ish strip of other restaurants. Nevertheless, I didn't have to wait to place my order and the person who took it was super friendly and, believe it or not, accurate. The food came quickly and it was standard Panera which means it was good. In fact, the baguette I had with my lunch was still warm. The seating was comfortable and the overall atmosphere is one of the nicest for a Panera. Soooooo. I will preface the negatives by saying that the food was pretty much on par and what was expected. Tasty and fresh. Staff - bad! Panera corporate...please send some trainers to this location and get better management. Who is running this place? Apparently no one. Horribly trained staff, maybe understaffed, no managers in sight, nobody keeping up with cleanup, no toilet paper. Please understand, the toilet paper dispensers in this Panera hold 2 gigantic rolls of toilet paper. The kind that last a long long long time. The opening manager should always be checking the bathrooms before opening. If this is not being done, please get new managers. Clearly if you see that one side of your giant toilet paper roll dispenser is empty, you need to put a new one in the empty side so that when the side in use runs out, the guest has access to the brand new roll. If you have toilet paper dispensers like this in your store there is absolutely no reason a guest should ever be left without toilet paper. Don't respond to this post with the excuse that your delivery didn't come in. Send someone to the grocery store or convenience store and buy a pack of toilet paper and put some in each stall. Second bathroom issue - trash can overflowing! Not full....overflowing! Back to the beginning. Only one cashier, long line. Finally, second cashier jumped on. I am very familiar with Panera and its menu and the way it operates. I know there always is a white binder that lists all ingredients and all allergens. We approached the cashier with a couple questions about ingredients in a salad we had never had before and we asked to see the binder. She acted like she didn't even hear us and just went on to read us the ingredients from the POS screen. One of the ingredients is Sofrito. We did not know what that was. We asked her what Sofrito is. She did not know. I asked her if I could see the binder again and she went over and got a paper menu and again read the ingredients, exactly what she had already read us from the POS. I said but what is Sofrito?? Again she said she did not know. I said, can you ask a manager because its an allergy issue. She said NO! She could not ask a manager because they were too busy. I said, you need to go ask a manager because this is an allergy issue and if you are not going to let me see the binder, which I had never encountered before, you better ask the manager. I am quite sure the manager does not want an allergy issue on their hands. So she went into the back - during a very busy time! Why wasn't the manager in the front of the house during such a busy time with trash cans overflowing, toilet paper empty and employees who have not passed their menu test? She returned and still did not have an answer. What??!! The manager didn't know, or this cashier/employee is clueless. So we did what we should have done in the first place. We asked Google! FYI, simply put, its salsa! After all this craziness, and ps not being charged for our drinks, because....you know...incompetence, our food came up and we realize she had never asked if we wanted chips, apple, or bread and both of our lunches came with bread. I had a sandwich and the last thing I wanted was another piece of bread! We sat outside on the delightful patio. Plenty choices of shade or sun. There is a door out to the patio on the side of the restaurant where you pick up your food and get your drinks. And oh, by the way, that's the side of the restaurant where the bathroom is. But guess what? You can't come back in through that door. So if you would like a refill on your drink, or would like to use the bathroom, you are SOL! You have to walk all the way back around to the front door and then go all the way back to where you just were to use the bathroom and refill your drink. So lunch was an adventure and we're ready to cleanup and leave. The area where you can leave your dishes and silverware was stacked high. Dishes were precariously perched. Clearly understaffed or management not making the rounds, touching tables, looking in the bathrooms, checking the outside trash cans, etc. So will we return? Probably. It's convenient. It's predictable food. Do I recommend? If you are familiar with Panera and you don't have any questions or expect too much cleanliness then its a good stopping point between OC, MD and Baltimore or DC. In conclusion, Panera corporate, get some people out here right away to look at this location and please send some trainers out. Local Managers at this location, Training, training, training!!! Your cashiers need to know about the binder and absolutely need to know their menu items. If you are not giving a menu test to all of your employees, you need to rethink your training process. Also, you need to teach your team how to interact with guests and if they are unhappy at their jobs, at least put on a happy face for the guests. Good Luck! read more

As with any other Panera, it's hard to remark on one from another. Panera's are distinguished by their universal corporate identity. Panera is fairly consistent. My quibble about the Easton, Maryland, location is the incredibly slow WiFi. It took a long time to do something as simple as opening an email. Did a ping test, and the average is over 450 ms. Using my phone as a hotspot, I can get around 100 ms (at worst). No complaints about the food. The service was OK. A good place for lunch, but just don't count on the technology. read more

Panera has some good food but a few years ago they replaced their real grills with devices that look more like a Xerox copier than a grill. And that's appropriate because their Panini sandwiches are no more than fake copies of real Panini sandwiches. They are soggy on the bottom and have fake grill marks on the top that are just burn marks from an electric element. Gone are all the great tastes and textures you get from a real Panini press. It was a sad and stupid move on their part. They did it to save 20 seconds off the time it takes to make a grilled sandwich. I'd rather wait 20 secs for real food than eat a horrible sandwich. Then they have the gall to put pictures of real panini sandwiches on their website! Oh, and that new drive thru window they put in is a disaster. It's almost impossible to get close to the window on your first try and then you have to be careful not to jump the curb when pulling away. And when you're exiting you have to switch to British mode and drive on the left side of the road or you'll head-on the people trying to enter the drive-thru. But then when I stayed left, someone coming in from the left almost head-oned me because they thought they were entering the parking lot. read more

Located just outside of Easton near Applebee's. Relatively new and the place is very clean. There are always plenty of staff to handle the rush we have encountered during peak hours and the onslaught of those heading home from the ocean. I just grabbed a quick soda and everything bagel. Hint : get a My Panera rewards card. You get a special treat added to your card when it is your birthday. They also ocasionally add other rewards of food or drink. I think the everything bagel is one of the best that you can get around this area. If you are buying an everything bagel and another kind of bagel be sure to get them in separate bags. It is definitely strong and you don't want to taint the taste of the other delicious bagel which is usually a cinamon crunch bagel. read more

The chicken was frozen in the salad and when I brought it up to the staff members attention they took it back with an attitude. They gave me a new one with less food and I saw some kind of residue on it that looked like spit. In no way shape or form is this acceptable in any food let alone service industry. The chicken avocado spinach cucumber peppadew peppers, lettuce, red onion breakfast sandwich was incredibly tasty and served hot. I loved you can customize your own sandwich. Hubby found his toasted plain bagel with cream cheese average. As breads have been delicious at Panera bread, he was surprised their bagels haven't been better. The toffee nut cookie was good. The triple berry scone was moist, but overly sweet due to the glaze. We disliked you have to queue at various work stations to get your entire order.
