Particularly Shelby - our server for the evening. She is kind, funny, playful, knowledgeable, quirky, attentive, and conscientious. What this translates to is Shelby elevated our dining experience, and we are thankful to have crossed her path. I rarely compliment or review the front of the house. Mainly because most of them lack basic restaurant skills; food preparation knowledge; customer service; and are generally void of a personality. First of all, this is a dog friendly restaurant with outdoor seating. So we were able to enjoy our lunch with our baby. The food was excellent. One of the specials- blackened swordfish on a brioche bun was really good. The fish was so fresh and beautifully cooked. We're nowhere near finished exploring the menu; we find new favorites every time we're there! Today it was the cream of crab soup, the tuna sashimi with all the right trimmings, And a smashburger. I was happy to have discovered this local restaurant that uses quality ingredients for a nice dinner out when I was searching for an alternative to the booked up Wardroom (and Bas Rouge was more than what we wanted to spend that night). For reservations, they don't use any of the popular reservation platforms, so I called their number to schedule a reservation. Fortunately, I was able to make it for the same day- Friday evening, no less! The restaurant is in a house, and they asked me if we were okay with the second floor (bearing in mind there are stairs). There are two rooms on the second floor with a several tables in each, and there were people, so we weren't isolated. There is also a restroom located on the second floor, so you don't have to go down the stairs to use the restroom. We parked across the street in a public parking lot. We received complimentary (warm) bread and butter! You don't see that much anymore. We started off with drinks. I had the Korean spicy margarita, which I loved, and my husband had the strawberry rhubarb cider, which was also good. The menu offers many choices for both appetizers and entrees. We ordered two appetizers- the Asian beef lettuce wraps (3 lettuce wraps- when you're a party of 2 or 4, that number is annoying!) and the short rib ravioli. Both apps were wonderful. For entrees, don't forget the specials. We ordered the soft-shell crab special and also the duo of duck off the entrees menu. The vegetables in both dishes were fresh, and the sauces were complimentary to the mains. Close to being unable to eat any more, but we simply had to close the fantastic dinner with desserts. I ordered the lemon semi-freddo and my husband ordered the flourless chocolate cake, and both passed the taste test. I was attracted to the menu options and couldn't decide between a cauliflower dish, a seafood dish or a chicken sandwich. I think the problem is that I choose the wrong dish. The chicken sandwich was supposed to come with a peach sauce but the smoked Bbq flavor drowned out any hit of peach. That wasn't really the problem though. Wait ! Am I in Charleston? architecturally stunning reminds me of Husk, or Magnolias ! This is the kind of house I want to live in! Beautiful house with lots of light and checked the menu outside the door and I'm stoked for the seafood risotto, and crème brûlée. Excitingly we wait for our table at the hostess stand and I see the most beautifully presented food coming from the kitchen and it's elevating my desire to eat here ! Nope. Not going to happen today . Insert sad face . The hostess can offer a table without the bright sunlight or people watching view behind the hostess's stand. In town for family matters and a group of us went to lunch at our in Easton. Sat at our favorite table by the window and since it was first time here for lunch looked over menu. I frequently visit this place and never had this problem before until tonight when I order the rack of lambs and the which came with bus and sprouts and some potato. The potato was tasteless the lab was burnt and I asked for a medium well they the chef didn't blamed the brightness or been closed in a plastic container. My brussel sprouts were so black and burnt that all this all you can taste was the burdeness of it all was unsatisfied especially after paying $49 for meal that I could not eat. after contacting the restaurant the chef blamed the car ride home and said that was why my food was not up to par and was burnt which i dont understand how a plastic container burns food and drys it out to the point I couldn't even bite the meat. only agreed to give me back brussel sprouts and that was it when the whole meal literally was unedible. read more

First of all this afternoon in Easton was sunny, 75 and humidity free! Legal Assets is in a converted something to a wonderful restaurant with an inside dining area and a gorgeous patio perfect for a day like today! I had the salmon blt and...wow! The bread was toasted perfectly and the salmon and home cut bacon were a perfect combination and I give it a big yummy! The grain bowl was yummy also! The French onion soup was hearty and very tasty. Crab cakes...hardly any filler and we are in Easton so the crab cakes have to be the best...and they were! The service was great and you gotta go and take your mind off life for a while and this is a place to do it. I could retire here! Kudos to Legal Assets! We have been to Legal Assets a few times and it is amazing. Our friend came to visit us and we took her there for a birthday dinner. We had the mussels appetizer, which was delicious. My husband had the steak Diane and my friend and I had the fabulous rockfish. We also enjoyed cocktails and got a birthday treat for her. Our server, Lilly, was super nice and attentive. My son tried the calamari that I brought back and my husband also had some. That was the only thing we all 3 ate the same of and had bad stomach issues that same night. Really enjoyed our first visit after attending a function in nearby St. Michael's. Recommended by a friend. Just a wonderful menu, especially a starter menu that easily doubles as a lite fare menu, a "tavern" menu for lunch augmented by an entree menu at 5pm. Wow great place. We were recommended by a neighbor and he was right on point. Place was lovely with tables and high top tables and seats at the long bar area which you can eat dinner at. My wife and I sat at a high top near the bar. Are server greeted us and told us the specials and took a drink order. We ordered a salad to split and I had the seafood paella and my wife had the chicken bow ties. For desert we split the homemade gelato pans my wife had a speciality coffee.
