The restaurant is clean, beautifully decorated with lots of hanging plants. We ordered chicken sandwich, tuna sandwich and chicken tenders . All the items were delicious.

But once you go looking for it, it's easy to find, and has a really welcoming exterior, with cheery sign and lots of flowers. I arrived around 12:30 pm and the place was about half full. I had in mind to sit outside to eat, but the waitress, Melanie, let me know the bees were pretty bad, so I stayed inside. I ordered an egg salad sandwich on GF bread, which came with lettuce and tomato, and a side of chips. I didn't want the chips so upgraded to a side salad. The egg salad was nice - good amount of mayo, enough salt, nothing weird added, and a good portion. The GF bread was really good - a nice surprise. Lettuce and tomato were both fresh. Side salad was nothing too special, though the balsamic dressing was good (served on the side). Service was great - Melanie was friendly and attentive, accommodating and bubbly. I would definitely recommend and will be back next time I'm in town.

Then I found The Rose Cottage about 35 mins away. Each month has a different theme so you'll never get tired of the menu. I went "Let Them Eat Cake" French inspired tea menu. Upon arriving I was greeted and was given a tour and the history the home (I love historical homes). I loved learning about the history of the house and seeing all the amazing craftsmanship and antiques. Quick tip- if you are looking for a specific day to visit call ahead. I called and they were booked two weeks out. I was able to get a reservation at the end of the month. The food was absolutely amazing (as was the tea of course!) The honey butter was to die for! I loved everything. The salad was so fresh and I loved the different textures and flavors. The scone was fresh and perfectly cooked. The savories and sweets were perfectly paired to to the tea. The cakes was so good and I loved finishing off with some chocolate. I loved the mango iced tea- it was so refreshing. The hot tea is one of my favorites and was brewed perfectly. I can't wait to go again.
