Panera Bread was our go to stop for lunch when we were in Greensburg, I loved there panini's and scones. We would stop by for dessert if we were in the neighborhood even if we didn't have lunch. At some point several years ago they changed their menu and recipes, their scones were no longer scone like they were more like a soggy sweet roll. I tried several of the new lunch options, but I haven't found anything that I thought was good. I'm sorry to see such a difference in quality. I got a pick two meal, sandwich and Mac and cheese. $15. they were both collectively the size of my hand. literally. Mac and cheese was three bites and the sandwich was maybe 4 inches long. After inquiring what fruits were in the "superfruit smoothie," I was told "apple juice and all the red berries I could think of." Intrigued by this description, as I could only come up with strawberries, raspberries, and cherries on the spot, I gave this mystery flavor a try. It was delicious and looked up the ingredients later on, which included apple, blackberry, blueberry, and cherry purees, plus concord grape, pomegranate and elderberry juices. read more

What a joke! Panera bread used to b so good that the jacked up prices were validated. But after this reticules excuse for a sandwich I'm putting them in the same category as every other overpriced thieving restaurants!! I'm not a big fan of this particular Panera I find the service to be a little snippy and borderline rude but I'll go with mostly sarcastic. I have had to take my coffee back up to the counter because it was cold. Food will sometimes take a while to get to you. And it's not the greatest looking stuff when it does. Pastries are very dry they look good while in the case but maybe that's the problem they've been in they case too long! I will say their soup in a bread bowl is pretty good I get the broccoli cheese and it suffices my husband and his aunt both love the salad that has some kind of Asian dressing on it yuk! The bagels are ok usually a bit tough to get into it the bread products you have to eat fairly quickly or they go harder then a rock if you fed it to the birds the poor souls would likely lose a beak!! The place itself is pretty clean did have to complain about the dirty bathroom once. I'm sorry I can't rave about the place others might but this is my opinion and unless things change in the future I'm sticking to it! read more

What I like most about Panera is that there's plenty of room to eat, work, meet...without worrying about a waitress staring at you because you're holding up her table. What I dislike, and the reason for the three-stars instead of four-stars is that I've asked for years, and they refuse to carry sugar-free vanilla for their lattes. I would visit Panera more often, because of reasons stated above, if they would learn that some people can't drink sugar-filled drinks. I stopped at Panera Greensburg to get a few things for my kids so I ordered a quart of clam chowder, tuna sandwich, and a grilled cheese. First, the chowder was good and that is where it ends. The sandwiches were simply awful. If I wanted a tomato onion and lettuce sandwich instead of tuna, I would have ordered one. A dab of tuna is all you get. Then I received 2 grilled pieces of bread and enough cheese for a mouse. The prices here are high and you get zero in return. They've been cheating customers for a long time and I stopped going years ago. It seems the situation has become worse and even more of a ripoff. I spend a ridiculous amount of time (and money) at Greensburg's other Panera on the west side of town-- it's my go-to when I get tired of studying in my house or the library. While there's nothing wrong with this location, it's just not quite as good. As others have noted, this is actually in Westmoreland mall, and has entrances both toward the food court and to the outside. They do their best at crowd control, but the lines are long, and they don't always do a great job keeping up with cleaning tables during busy times. My orders have been accurate but with less attention to detail-- last time I got a takeout order, it was packaged such that my sandwich was very, very squashed by the soup. This is designed more as a food court, get-lunch-and-go location than a stick-around-and-chat-or-stud location. On the bright side, I've never had a problem with food quality, and they make a solid espresso drink. If you're shopping and you need a bite to eat or a jolt of caffeine, this is probably your best bet. If you're looking for a chill place to work, study or get a leisurely cup of coffee, I'd suggest going elsewhere. read more

I travel pretty frequently for work, and this Panera is generally my go-to restaurant when I'm at the Westmoreland Mall. The food has always been tasty, and a vanilla latte that I ordered here this week was Starbucks worthy. However, my only complaint is that the lunch line is absolutely ridiculous! At times, the line reaches 20+ people long and extends out of the restaurant into the food court. For the number of people ordering food, they should really add additional staff at lunchtime to prevent the line from becoming so frustratingly long. read more

I will never eat at this location at Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg. I get called for an interview and had the interview, then they said they were interested in a second interview. Which tells me they were wanting to possibly hire me. So I wait and wait, and it's been three weeks now and no phone call. So I called and they said the GM hasn't emailed them back yet. Like how unprofessional is that! If you can't back to a contact for employment how in the hell do you expect to hire anybody! Completely rude also the girl who answered the phone. Telling all my friends and family about this horrible service that they are not professional in their part of the job. I did my part. They'll never have real jobs! read more

The absolute worst service. My mom and I stopped in yesterday, July 5th, 2020, and it was about 10 minutes until they closed. I expected to have great service no matter what, but I was merely disappointed. We ordered two smoothies and we waited a while for them. No one was making them and Alyssa, the cashier, wasn't even doing anything. She was just standing at the front register. The manager, Meghan, absolutely the rudest person. She had an attitude and looked very angry. She kept giving me dirty looks and then just "threw" us the smoothies and left in a hurry. Panera is always a solid choice for somewhere to go and grab a quick bite, especially if you are caring about what you put in your stomach. I got a delicious salad with chicken in it, and it was top notch. I am happy to pay $8 for a salad as long as it is as delicious as what Panera puts out. read more

The food is very good, as are the coffees and bakery items. Sometimes orders get messed up or something but for the most part it's a reliable place to eat. First let me say, I love Panera! Love love with extra hugs. But not this one. On first blush, there is nothing unPanera about it. The menu is the same. The staff was plenty friendly. The food was the same, too. Except apparently Bozo the clown is in charge of the kitchen. Seriously. I ordered oatmeal. This is not a difficult thing. With brown sugar, pecans, and strawberries, right off the menu. Served nice and hot. Yay on a cold day. Whoever sliced the strawberries apparently thought it was okay to use the same knife he'd just used to spread hummus. Oniony hummus. On. my. strawberries. Yeah, there's a big mouthful of happy on my rainy Saturday. So I went over and complained. I hate doing that. By this time pretty grossed out and just ready to leave. Complaint "Please tell Bozo the knife boy that a clean knife is a basic requirement." No offer of a replacement (which I wouldn't have wanted.) No offer of a refund. Just a blank look and "uh. okay." Nevermind. I just won't be back. Good thing the more local Paneras actually seem to wash their knives. Blech. read more

I normally love Panera Bread but will never be back to this place. I ordered a pick two with mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was frozen. When I went back to complain.........I was told they just took it out of freezer! I said I did not order frozen mac and cheese! They just said oh........... no other answer. Ordered for a business meeting. Went to pickup the order and was misdirected where to get my order not once, but twice. Had to wait because the woman in front of me in line had her bagel burned not once, but three times. She finally gave up and took her third burned bagel to eat. Finally got my order, late! and headed out. Guess I should have known better, checked in car and missing half the order. Had to go to the store again and they acted like it was my fault they forgot! If your job is making sandwiches then take pride and make the best sandwich out there! Panera' sandwich maker should be fired! I ordered a tuna with cheese to go. I sat down to eat the sandwich (wanted it to go to take part home) when I unwrapped the sandwich ... half of it was smashed! When wrapping it up they rolled up the sandwich in the paper too. I couldn't believe they did that! I took the top piece of bread off and all the tuna, tomatos and lettuce were on half of the sandwich. I got a knife to spread the tuna on the whole piece of bread. Then I realized that I didn't get the cheese I paid extra for nor a pickle. Well I wasn't going to ask for a new sandwich. Why would I have the same person make another after I just complained???!!! So I asked for my money back. First I had to show someone the sandwich. It was still sitting on the table. I was then told that it got smashed because they wrap them up so tight as to not fall apart! Unbelievable! Anyway I got my money back but that wasn't easy either. They only refunded me for the sandwich not my drink. I didn't even take one sip and I bought it to go with sandwich. Finally relented and got all back. Lazy employees (group standing around chatting with a friend at pick up counter) sloppy workers, no customer service. They need to take responsibility for their mistakes and not to try to explain it away as if customer is wrong. read more
