We were regulars at Panera, at least until Covid. Starting to go back because drive thru at a Bakery didn't make any sense. Drive thru at Menifee Panera a nightmare because they built it next to In and Out. Anyway, went to Panera Hemet Tuesday and was disappointed. Food OK but still pricy. No condiments anywhere. No regular coffee. Had to ask for salt and pepper and was given a little pepper in a paper cup????? No salt. Tables were almost all dirty. I assume this is another covid labor issue. So be it. We placed a drive through order for 2 full sandwiches and one half sandwich. When I got to the window, the cashier then verified again that it was 2 full sandwiches and 1 half sandwich. We applied a $10 credit from a mistake on a previous order. When we got home, we found the cashier had only put 1 full sandwich and 2 half sandwiches on the order. We were charged correctly, but my brother was disappointed to only get a half sandwich when he ordered a full. This is the second time in a row Hemet Panera has messed up my order. Someone there needs to start checking the quality of the service there. read more

Who is the manager here?? They seem to have problems with new people? They are way over priced and over staff. We had 2 out of 3 orders wrong. On top it was horrible food really Panera you should get some management 101. Your food was horrible the bread was so hard and old nobody wanted a bite. This location used to be great, but the last 3 times in a row my order has been messed up in a major way. First time it sounded like the DT person taking my order was new and insisted that the breakfast sandwiches automatically came with scrambled eggs. I knew they didn't and double checked with him to make sure it was scrambled. Lo and behold I get my order with a runny sunny side up egg. They apologized and made a new one with a free cookie. Okay, that was nice. Second time, my husband waited in a long DT line after a 16 hour shift only to get home and realize his sandwich had sausage instead of bacon. He doesn't like sausage, so it was wasted. We came back a third time, surely the order would be right this time. We even placed our order through the app for curbside pickup @ 8:00am. I checked in @ 7:55am and it verified they received it. 3 cars got their orders and left without anyone checking on me. 15 minutes later, I walk inside to see my order on the pickup counter, even though I clearly marked curbside and it reflected my car make, model and color. My food was cold and my frozen mocha was melted. I couldn't wait to have them remake it, because my baby was in the car. Pro: It's a Panera, you are not going to die here. Clean tables. Con: It's Hemet, service quality may be of an issue. It was a simple family outing. Just one of my kids didn't receive her food at all, mixed up salad dressing and no cheese option. Kids meal came out with wrong side dishes. I had to drive down here more than I would have liked with a co-worker to visit our other office in Hemet. I am pretty much over the majority of fast food places and we didn't have much time for lunch so Panera was the best choice! I love their bread. It is always so fresh. We just moved to the area and we are still awaiting internet service. We went to Panera at this location to have lunch and work on some school work. It was good for a bit until the workers who were either on beak or off work began to have a good gossip session that became distracting and across the room a mother with her two girls one of them plucking lice out of the sisters hair and throwing in on the restaurant floor. That was it there. We got up told the manager and left. They would now have to spray or clean for lice now that the restaurant may be contaminated. You will not catch me back there that's for sure. read more

Did the online order, very convenient and well organized. I'm a big fan. Then I got the phone call of all the things they were out of, kinda ruins the convenience. Noticed the couple ahead of me in line was having a similar problem and heard "we're out of this or that" a lot. They need to get their act together if they want this to succeed. Update: so they ran out of things but did make an effort to remedy or substitute items and still have them ready when I arrived - and threw in a couple of cookies for the inconvenience. I was so disappointed, I ordered takeout for my family today, to be picked up at 2:15 pm... I did the order online and paid W/tip over $63 for 3 adults, (we are taking soup and sandwich here, not a real meal). The food was not ready, took them 20 min to get it done. then they skipped the chicken let alone the extra chicken ordered and paid for on the bbq sandwich. The soups were warm,,, not hot. the mao was missing on the steak sandwich. My sisters sandwich was not wrapped correctly and fell out all over the table. and I can't find a customer service link to complain... I will have to call them. I love the customize feature on the ordering kiosk. I can change the ingredients in my sandwich...and since I'm a major sandwich fan, this is huge. Today, I ordered the Smoked Turkey on Country-it comes with tomatoes, lettuce, red onion, and B/P. I changed the bread to sourdough, changed the lettuce to spinach, added avocado and mozzarella cheese. AWESOME! Plus, if you use the ordering kiosk, they bring you a freshly baked large chocolate chip cookie (free!). I'm also excited they extended their hours to 10:00 pm. I've been to many Panera Breads, from the South to the West. Some have a better floorplan than this location, but I am still quite happy with the ambiance, staff, and food. read more

To begin, as I started ordering everything seemed fine, until the cashier began yawing excessively loud with her hand over her mouth. I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich which when I received it it was only bread, cucumber, lettuce,tomato and cheese NOTHING like how I remembered it. My four year old daughters mac and cheese was also very cold. As I sat down I noticed how dirty the floors were. Not to mention how stingy they are with their napkins. Last night around 7:50, I order two bowls of soup and a smoothie. There was no one in front of me. I get up to the window and waited a few minutes. No one came to the window or was even in sight. I wait another 5 minutes and see an employee. She looks at me and points in my direction looking toward someone in the back and then walks away. After 15 minutes I knock on the window and still no one. I'm furious! Finally a lady comes from the front and grabs the blender to prepare the smoothie. She walks up and has a manger badge. Its unacceptable waiting that long! Close to 20 minutes and not a single word from anyone! If you're busy then tell me. I can be patient. But flat out informing me or not giving a single fuck about your customers and then making an excuse as to why no one came up to the window is ridiculous! The manager did not apologize, she just made excuses! I'm not paying $18 for some half ass shit service when you obviously don't give a fuck about me or the 4 cars behind me. Will be contacting corporate immediately. The manager should be fired or sent to proper training. She has no idea how to run a store! read more

We ordered to go since we had a sleeping toddler in the car. They were accommodating with us taking a few minutes to decide and holding up their drive thru. I was super excited to get our food home. The order was correct and the soups were still hot but the half size salad wasn't impressive. It was only about 10 bites. I've eaten at Panera before and I don't recall the half salad being so small. Luckily it was absolutely delicious and I had soup to fill up on as well. Next time I will avoid the $4 salad and opt instead for the big size in hopes that you get way more. Almost every time I go through the drive thru I am asked to pull forward and wait. And I wouldn't mind waiting if my order wasn't ALWAYS wrong! I ordered my food online before I left for work this morning. It's about five minutes from my house. My order pick up time was at 7:48 am. I go through the drive-thru to pick up my order. Well surprise, it takes 15 minutes just for them to get the order. I tried explaining that it has already been paid for so can they just make it and I'll show them the receipt proving that so I can be in my merry way. NOPE! They wouldn't make it until it showed up in their screen. Funny that the transaction hit my account immediately tho. So now I'm running late and they won't refund the money till it's in their system. Extreme inconvenience. I get it, it's not your fault but don't have on the website a specific time it will be done if it takes 15 MINUTES just to go through. I really love panera and have always enjoyed the service and food. This visit was great! My soup was actually hot and my bread as well. The issue with this visit wasn't about food or the upkeep of the restaurant. My problem was right when I walked in the male cashier applied his chapstick with his finger and did not wash his hands. I was really grossed out so I went and ordered from the kiosk. Then I sit down at a table and the manager is walking around greeting their regular guest. The manger walked to an employee and they talk. Then the manager wipes her nose with her hand and then goes about her business. Now I worked in food service. I know that habits such as the two I observed are hard to stop, but it doesn't seem as a pressing issue with the team. All I'm gonna say is there was a very small bug on my plate. I was sitting inside so there's no way it flew into my food but there was a small ant-looking bug on my plate. I ordered the Napa almond chicken salad sandwich so maybe it was from the lettuce. They brought me another sandwich and a free pastry and that was okay but I couldn't get over the fact that there was a bug on my plate. Location is everything. I often frequent this place hoping their service would get better. The individuals preparing your order have very bad attitudes when you ask a question about your order. They just don't listen to how you want your food prepared. This place is so pricey considering the small amount of meat you get on your sandwiches. I ordered a half tuna sandwich and there was literally a tablespoon. Of tuna on my sandwich. I asked for my dressing on the side several times. They still tossed my salad with dressing. Then had the nerve to get an attitude when I reminded them that I wanted dressing on the side..they made me another salad and then put the cups of dressing on top of my salad instead of on the side. This location is a huge disappointment it's always a 20 minute wait at the drive-through and almost every time they forget part of my order any time we try to speak to a manager they always give us some sort of excuse rather than trying to apologize for what had happened. I don't usually come during busy times so it's not due to crowds so it might be understaffed but they still don't treat their customers correctly. I recently ordered the small order of Tomato soup and half grill cheese. As usual the soup was very good. However the grill cheese left much to be desired. It looked nothing like the ad which is common in picture ads. When I opened it the bread was partially burnt and there was no cheese visible and when I separated the sliced bread I found one slice of partially melted american cheese covering about half of the bread. I had this order to go so when I found the problem it was too far to return and complain. I sent them an email about it but I didn't receive any reply. I will continue to order the soups but that is about all I will order until they train their cooks on preparing dishes. read more
