First the price is so ridiculous the Pick 2 menu does not save money; it actually doubles the cost!! $36.00 for 2 people for lunch is not a joke; it is not funny -- that is go out to a nice dinner money... Second, the place was filthy. Drink stand was dirty, sticky, and overall unsanitary... All the floors under the tables were full of trash. This place has NO ambiance what so ever. If there is a bright spot it would be that the food was tasty. However, could not be enjoyed at the price, at the disgusting filth, and lackadaisical attitude of the staff. Clearly they all want to be somewhere else, anywhere but Panera Bread. We feel the same way! Will not eat here again... Not a good lunch today. Very disappointed. I ordered the sandwich that was advertised on the drive up order board The avocado bacon melt. I would never order this again. It was a tiny sandwich with barely anything on it. A few bits of hard bacon and a tiny sliver of an avocado and a hint of cheese in just one small area on the bread that appears to be soak in butter or oil and it was only enough toppings for one small bite. It's an average fast food place, but you can get some lighter fare here. We usually get the Mediterranean veggie sandwich, which comes on tomato basil bread, topped with onions, tomato, feta cheese, hummus, greens, and peppers. The flavors of this sandwich are good, but at the Hopkinsville location we've gotten inconsistent quality. If they are at the end of the bread loaf, sometimes they'll take the two tiny nub ends and use them as one piece of bread, making it a messy and difficult to eat sandwich. Today we got decent sandwiches. Once I ordered the bacon Mac n cheese and the bacon was raw and fatty. Once it was done well. Today they left out the bacon altogether, even though they charged me for it. Soups are ok, usually under seasoned, so we add pepper or seasoning at home. We also usually get chips. And each meal comes with a baguette. Panera has a large assortment of sandwiches and baked goods. Though many people think of Panera as "healthy," though many meals are high is sodium and calories. The Mediterranean is probably one of the healthiest options, with a full sandwich being a little over 400 calories. Food is average, but if we are in a hurry, it's one of the better options in town. We also frequent Jersey Mike's in Hopkinsville for fast casual, which has much more consistent service. read more

My friend ordered the Pick Two wild rice soup which she loved, and the chicken salad sandwich. Those are her favorite things and she was very happy. I also ordered the Pick Two, but I got the broccoli cheddar soup, which was wonderful and the black forest and melted Gouda sandwich. But I did not get a tiny little sandwich like my friend did. My sandwich was over a foot long. So I think somewhere in the ordering it was a little bit messed up but that's OK. I will get two more meals out of that sandwich. So that's not a problem actually this time. I also got a free scone because I just signed up online. So, a free, blueberry scone does not hurt my feelings. And the strawberry mint lemonade is delicious. My friend enjoyed the cranberry something drink. A little tart not too sweet. It was a delicious lunch. Both the drive through and eating inside have been great experiences for me. After not have having Panera since living in California 10 years ago, I was stoked to live somewhere with Panera again. The staff has always been extremely friendly, the restaurant inside was clean and bright. I sat down to eat at about 9:15am, so it was empty most of the time I was in with my 2 month old & 2 year old. The server/cashier was very friendly and helpful! She asked if I wanted to sign up for a rewards card, helped sign me up (took 2 mins), and let me know the muffin I ordered would be free after signing up! Win! This time around I ordered an apple juice & blueberry muffin for my son. The muffin was sweet and delicious! For myself, I ordered an iced mocha & a bacon/egg/cheese brioche sandwich, egg over easy. The egg was perfectly cooked, the mocha wasn't terribly sweet, and the timing of it all was great! It's a great Panera location if you want a little breakfast date! read more

Oh, the food was great. Until it made 3 of my friends suffer from terrible FOOD POISONING the next day. And then when they called to let them know, they were told that food poisoning "only happens 1-2 hours after ingestion". I guess they don't know that we literally study the microbes that cause food poisoning, and we all know that ain't true. I wonder what the health dept would have to say. Panera bread always has good food. by far the cleanest restaurant in Hopkinsville. I also like the fact that the kitchen is open and you can watch them prepare your food if you wish to do so. but they are a little pricey. read more

When I visited this location recently there was no one at the counter to take my order, I waited several minutes with a line forming. I thought it strange but I don't eat here normally so not sure if this is standard. If I could give this business zero stars, I would. About 6 of classmates and I stopped in for lunch around 12 pm on Thursday November 14th. Three of us, without communication (because we used different kiosks in the lobby), ordered the Turkey Bacon Bravo sandwich. Around 6 in the afternoon on friday the 15th, three of us (myself included) began getting sick to our stomachs. I will spare you the details, but all 3 of us had food poisoning. Some of these classmates and I rarely eat lunch with one another, and Panera was our common denominator. We called your establishment to report that we had gotten food poisoning and Panera Bread of Hopkinsville, KY denied serving us food that made us sick, and that it was simply not possible that they were the cause. Please perform a simple Google search and know that food poisoning can happen anywhere from 30 minutes to 48 hours after ingestion. Please save yourself the visit and a 24 hour date with your toilet and find somewhere else to eat. read more

All I can say is wow! This place is so clean and so friendly. It's like you walk in and are greeted by family. Amazing atmosphere & the food is made perfectly every time. If you're wanting to do something for dinner, it needs to be here! I spoke to the manager Hope & she was the kindest woman. But this was my first time at this location, as I was sitting on the bench waiting for my food, the girl making my food made a comment about one of the girls in the kitchen saying "see this is why I'm racist." I don't feel like racism should be an issue in an establishment, especially when the other one said nothing offending or rude to the girl that stated the comment. I enjoy Panera and I do agree that it is a little pricey but it's totally worth it. Although the service at this particular location is below average. I've been here several times and I've had workers with attitudes, order errors, and ridiculously long waits. I ordered in store once and I seriously waited for over 20 minutes for my food and it wasn't even correct. And no I'm not exaggerating. I saw people who came in after me and get their meals before me even though I only asked for a half salad. And this hasn't happened just once, it's happened on several occasions. read more
