Really happy to have a very good mediterranean restaurant in the area. My wife and I ordered some…read morethings for take-out. Arriving, the staff was very friendly and said that we should be sure to come and dine in person next time, and I think we will. The restaurant is small, and nicely decorated. We ordered Hummus & Pita and Baba Ghanoush & Pita. We kinda treat these as simple tests of a Middle Eastern restaurant. And Mediterranean Grill did not disappoint. While our preference is for the Hummus to be a bit thicker, this had very good flavor. The Baba has the taste of being made with grilled / smoked eggplant, which we really like as it adds a great depth of flavor. And the Pita was quite good. (We'd ordered enough that we had another meal that included these, and the Pita was still great a day or two later. I like it toasted, BTW.) My wife ordered the Gyro Sandwich and really enjoyed it. I thought that the meat had a great flavor and just the right amount of juiciness and tenderness. I ordered the Falafel Platter, and they were beautifully seasoned and fried to a great crispy texture without becoming dried out. Eating them along with the Hummus (that comes with the platter) made for quite a treat. And I also had a Mediterranean Slushy (minty lemonade) that was outstanding. The staff and I spoke a bit about dessert and how they made it themselves (rather than buying them in) and changed them each week. I thought I'd ordered a baklava, but got home and found that it was not in the bag nor on the receipt, so I must not have been clear. I'll sure be so next time. (Of course, if we're eating in, it will be pretty obvious!) Anyway, we're looking forward to our next meal from these folks.

We made a special visit to Osh to try them on a weekend trip to Nashville about a month ago. I'd…read moresaved them in my Nashville bookmarks for some time after they received a lot of acclaim on Yelp - I believe at one time they were on a Yelp list of best restaurants in the US. We were certainly excited to try Uzbek food, as there's nowhere that serves it where we live. The restaurant doesn't look like too much from the outside and the parking lot is a little run down. However, the inside is very updated and super clean and comfortable. There's lots of seating, what appears to be a private room in the back, and some high-tech features, like a machine that you can use to alert waitstaff if you need a refill, a to-go box, or any other kind of attention. The bathrooms were also immaculate. Service was a little strange. I wouldn't say it was slow - every time we placed an order or had a request, our food or items were promptly brought out to us. However, the challenge came in getting the attention of our waitresses. Two ladies took care of us, alternating based on availability. One was very nice and friendly, the other a little gruff and irritable-seeming. But both were completely averse to coming in and checking on us without one of us flagging them down. Perhaps they're used to the little machines? I don't like using those because they come across as too demanding; I'd prefer to just be visited and checked in on from time to time by staff. Not so here. Despite not being very busy, our visit took a lot of time, even though the actual food service was fairly quick. Onto the food, the most important part. We ordered a lot because I wanted to experience as many unique dishes as possible. One waitress first brought out a complimentary serving of pita and what I believe was suzma, which the menu describes as a yogurt-based cheese. This was one of the highlights of our meal, actually, as the pita was hot, fresh, and very lightly charred. The suzma went very well with it. Then we ordered a chicken somsa and some Uzbek bread. The chicken somsa was alright; the pastry was delightfully flaky, but for me it was way too onion-forward. The Uzbek bread was another highlight. It was a temperature and textural delight - so warm and fluffy - if not a flavor bomb. It was great to polish off the remaining suzma from our complimentary treat. For entrees, my husband wanted to try the signature osh, while I ordered chicken shashlik. The osh was probably the better of the two but he didn't love it. It was quite greasy and the lamb was on the gamey side. My chicken shashlik had definitely been near charcoal too long; it had an overly-charred, unpleasant chemical-y taste. The accompanying rice had so much butter or oil in it that it was greasy, too, and although that imparted more flavor into it, I felt gross after a couple of bites. Everything was cooked well, just the flavors really didn't quite come together for us on this visit. It's hard for me to believe, given the average outstanding reviews and consistent praise this place gets, that our experience was an average one. Perhaps we just came on an off day or ordered the wrong things for our palates, since we're fairly unfamiliar with this cuisine. I would be willing to try again some day, but sadly our first visit didn't quite wow the way we'd hoped it would. I appreciate the clean and pretty environment and quickly prepared food!

It is a family owned and operated restaurant serving an authentic and traditional Mediterranean style family spread meant for sharing. They also serve sand brewed coffees, specialized hot and cold teas, Mocktails and bake all of their breads and desserts in house fresh every day. The staff are very friendly and one of the owners was giving us our check after we were done eating and actually started a conversation with us and told us that one of the things they are known for is Hospitality. Everyone was so nice and it just complimented the delicious food. My wife and myself got the Family size Tashtea Breakfast for 2. It was definitely enough food for 2. This huge spread consists of different Cheeses, Olives, Honey, Butter, Molasses, Tomatoes, Sausage, Egg, Seasonal Fruit and Freshly Baked Bread. To finish the review-- This place is only open for Breakfast and Lunch. They close around 4:30. There is plenty of free parking and it's located in Antioch about 15 minutes from Nashville. It's worth a try if you haven't been or if you have been there then you know.

This is a Kurdish-Turkish restaurant, and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The prices were also very reasonable. Our entire table, with all the food we ordered, came to around $85-$90, which was a great price for the quality and amount of food. The service was good and everyone was very friendly. At times, our server got a little distracted talking with other customers, but I understand that they were just trying to be welcoming and friendly. I used to run a restaurant myself, so I know how busy things can get. They may just need to pay a little more attention to all the tables. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was excellent, the service was good, and I will 100% come back again. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. You will not be disappointed

The waitress was lack luster in personality, we sat down asked for hummus and the young guy with long hair on staff said they didn't have change for a $20 so a 7.99 hummus turned into a 20 dollar bill when he never brought back the $5 my friend said just to bring back as a tip. Then my mom's hummus lamb plate had a clump of hair in the hummus. The staff, "would you like us to remake it or a refund" no I'm sorry not anything to remedy the situation. Between the 5 of us with to go plates was nearly $130 ish. I'm so disappointed and know the owner would be upset with how his staff handled this. My chicken saaj bowl also was lack luster in flavor, I go to another Mediterranean place locally that is way way way more flavor. Hope the owner has a talk with his team about back of the kitchen etiquette so there isn't food in other people's food.
