Great staff and customer service Lyme wait was a little long but it's the Sunday morning rush so not to bad and the cinnamon crunch bagels are always a hit for sure

This is by far the worst Panera experience I've had. The place was dirty with sticky floor and fruit flies flying in the area of cold drinks. I ordered via app three breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Upon arrival we could not locate cups for coffee. It turns out they are hidden and you have to get someone to have them to you. Two out of three sandwiches were made incorrectly and when I brought it up, the lady started yelling at me that she didn't get all the items on the print, took these sandwiches and started throwing them into the garbage while she continued to yell at me. I didn't even had time to explain that she could fix one of the sandwiches by giving me the egg on the side. No need to throw food into garbage.... A very nice gentleman with a ponytail came over and was extremely nice and made us new sandwiches. While we were eating we heard more of the yelling and complaining coming from the kitchen area. Very unpleasant and unprofessional that the customers have to be listening to internal issues at the kitchen. I feel very sorry for the gentleman that made the sandwiches as he seemed the only nice person there. Working with such a rude team must not be easy... I hope the management will read this review and do something about rude staff as I'm seeing in not the only one who experienced it. Won't be back. Dirty place and rude service.

Good food is found at Jay Birds Bar & Grille located in Lathrup Village! So much so I dined here twice in one month with two different parties. Ironically, Brianna was our server both times. It's time to give her a raise for her hard work in serving. I had the catfish fillets, green beans and garlic mashed potatoes on my first visit and fried chicken wings and fries on the second visit. The food was well prepared with portions for sharing or a second meal at home. Note: Due to their limited seating, there is a 90-minute seating limit during busy times. Seating includes bar seating, pub tables and booth. Seating is not ideal for parties larger than 4. On my second visit, we had a party of 7 that we settled for two booths.

Until someone at the table next to us lit a joint, we truly enjoyed the outdoor space. My brother, however, warned me that the food was just meh and I find I will have to agree with him. The protein/meats were good. My problem was with the sides. I got the rice pilaf and green beans and I feel like it was false advertisement. The rice pilaf was just yellow rice. The green beans were canned, although the menu pic showed fresh. Both of them lacked flare or seasoning. I noticed the person we ate with ate all of his catfish but barely touched his sides (potatoes au gratin and corn) as well. Now my husband got the mashed potatoes and brussels. He raved about them. I grabbed a little of both to take home so hoping when I eat them for lunch tomorrow I'm as impressed with those as he was. Maybe they are the show stoppers?!? So the final factor is always whether or not it would return and I will say yes, there were several cocktails on the menu I really want to try. And it is conveniently located. I will try what our server recommended, the wings, and just keep it there.

Walking in, there was very limited seating and about an hour wait, which clearly showed how popular this spot is. Thankfully, the hostess told us about their basement bar area where you can grab drinks and snacks while waiting. The downstairs area had such a cool speakeasy vibe dark ambiance, vinyl music playing, and honestly the perfect date night atmosphere. The drinks were REALLY good, and you can also order appetizers down there. Once we made it upstairs, we grabbed bar seating and talked to a few people around us who all said this was their favorite spot. Our bartender was amazing -- super attentive, explained the menu well, and gave great recommendations. We ordered the wings (perfectly seasoned and so good) and the chicken sandwich with buffalo added for a little spice... absolutely delicious. I also tried the pistachio martini, and wow definitely one of my favorite drinks I've had in a while. Overall, such a great experience from the atmosphere to the food and service. I'll definitely be back, and I've already been telling all my friends about this place!

So I was incredibly excited to try The Oak Parker. I'd heard they make their pastrami in-house, which is a refreshing change of pace since most local spots (Zingerman's included) just use Sy Ginsberg. I ordered the Rachel, but unfortunately, it just didn't work for me. The pastrami was way too dry and honestly tasted much more like corned beef than true pastrami. On top of that, the Gruyère cheese didn't complement the meat well at all, leaving the overall composition of the sandwich feeling just okay. I really wanted to love their take, but this one missed the mark.

I ordered the chicken cutlet with two different sauces, the zucchini fritters, the Tuscan kale salad, the mascarpone polenta, and the Valdo sandwich. Everyone knows the chicken is awesome so o won't go into detail about it. The mascarpone polenta was creamy and flavorful. It still light and not dense which polenta can sometimes be. I'd get it again. Even though everything was delicious, the kale salad was probably my favorite. The kale was tender so it was prepped perfectly since it can be tough otherwise. I love how it was dressed. Every bite had dressing but it wasn't dripping wet. I ate half of it a few days later and it was just as tasty and fresh without being wilted at all. Great flavor and texture with the toasted breadcrumbs, pecorino cheese, and some brightness from lemon. I'd go back for the salad alone but when I do go, I'm sure we'll place another order for all the goods again.

I ended up going with two of the chicken parm sandwiches, an order of the baked ziti, a tiramisu cup, and zeppole. Everything was delicious and the portions are very generous. The sandwiches alone have two fried chicken cutlets on them so half of one is more than enough for a full meal, meaning I've got dinner for tomorrow, too! The ziti was also a nice portion and I love their marinara. I was too stuffed to eat the zeppole while they were still warm but they're still excellent later, even when they're cold. I think they use ricotta in them which keeps them soft and pillowy (also another generous portion). It's carryout/delivery only, FYI. Ordering online was a snap as they have their own platform and it took about 15-20 minutes. Ran in and out and it was easy peasy and delicious.
