    Eddie's zip pasta

Great diner with a super fun upscale menu, great, friendly service and the bonus of a full bar of you are so inclined. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner, but we will be reviewing the dinner service. We started with their Hawaiian fries - a lighter, tastier take in poutine. Yum! We ordered the Eddie's zip pasta which had chicken, mushrooms and broccoli in zip sauce, it came with a salad. I highly recommend this dish. We also tried their chicken Marsala which came with soup, salad and a choice of vegetable. The chicken was perfectly cooked and there was plenty of it! My only fault I would say was that I would have liked more Malala, but it was delicious! This is a great local spot, and we would love to check out their breakfast or lunch next time.

My first time but definitely not my last time here! Great upscale old school diner that features pasta dishes and more. I wanted to try their well-known pistachio pie, but unfortunately they were sold out that night. Generous portions for your $ too. Looking forward to my next visit! This place is always busy. It's a testament to how good the food is and how nice the people are. Got the zip pasta. The sauce was so buttery and savory. We actually asked for a little extra zip sauce on the side too. The menu is huge so there's definitely other dishes to try next time.

First time! Has been on the list to try for awhile, passed it on the way to another restaurant and flipped around and gave it a whirl. Ordered Tuna Melt as have seen sandwiches being raved about, was a little dry for my liking but good overall. Pasta seemed to be 90% of the dishes ordered around us. Lemon Rice was SO good, was my favorite. Team was friendly, will be back!

The secrets out the Hawaiian fries are now right on the front of the menu, Eddie is cashing in, this place has made the tweaks it needs to keep up with the times. The food is pretty much unchanged that's a good thing. Huge zipp pasta bowls and perfectly cooked steaks that counterfeel that's perfect at Eddie's. Play some Keno get a cocktail watch the chefs do their thing. Did I mention the food is good. If you've never been to Eddie's do yourself a favor swing up to the counter, bring a friend order the Hawaiian fries get some zip pasta and if your stomach can handle it go for a steak. Recommend is four to five star dining.

Eddie's Gourmet has a huge menu so, took some time to decide. Since hearing of their infamous zip sauce honed in on those choices. Chose a veggie pasta with zip sauce. Added red pepper flakes and a bit of Parmesan to round out this awesome dish! Started with chicken lemon rice soup which was delicious!! Def returning as I go thru the many items I want to try!

Food was really good big portions plenty of food even to share. Service was excellent. Ambience was casual with bar seats. If you need a hearty meal this is a place to go

I kept hearing about this place so I finally decided to stop in for some lunch. Now, I did get carry out and that maybe took a little something away from these famous Hawaiian fries. It's essentially an Alfredo sauce on steak fries. It's not that it was bad or flavorless, but it wasn't anything to come back for. I've also heard they have really good pasta here. I wasn't able to try that, but I did get the turkey club and it was pretty good. I'll have to come by again and sit down and have a proper meal here. Seemed like a lot of locals were inside and it definitely has that old school diner vibe which was refreshing.

    Why is this place closed?

They are closed for remodeling, but will reopen soon.

Just visited eddies yesterday (Monday) and they seemed to be closed...does anyone know when they'll be back open?

They are closed on Sundays. Was it Sunday or Monday?

Eddies is well-known for certain "secret menu" items. Big Marv and Hawaiian Fries being two examples. What others am I missing?

Another amazing dish is Rena pasta. It is chicken tenders over noodles with creamy palomino sauce and cheese it is amazing and what we get every time.

What's your favorite meal at Eddies?

Roma Pasta! Add shrimp with the chicken

I used to live nearby about 25 years ago and remember coming to a diner in this area for breakfast back then. Fast forward to today--this isn't the same place, but wow, it's absolutely amazing. Right away I loved the vibe. The chalkboards with handwritten menu items and daily specials on the walls give the place so much character and charm. It feels welcoming, classic, and cool all at the same time. The customer service was excellent from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the country breakfast, which came with biscuits and gravy, eggs, toast, potatoes, and sausage--everything was spot on. I'm usually not a big hash browns person, so I really appreciated that they offer an alternative to the shredded style. I went with the cubed breakfast potatoes (not sure what they officially call them), and they were so much better--crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Between the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere, this place completely won me over. I already know I'll be back next weekend. Oak Diner has a really, really good vibe, and I'm glad I rediscovered breakfast here. Highly recommend.

The Huevos Rancheros were packed with bold, fresh flavors and cooked perfectly. The Charmoula Chicken was incredibly juicy with just the right amount of spice and herbs. Easily one of the best diner burgers I've had--perfectly cooked, juicy, and loaded with flavor. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is quirky, welcoming, and exactly what you'd hope for from a "finer diner." The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!!!

It's got retro charm, great service, and a menu that is both classic and creative. What made it a great meal was that every food item was just so well prepared. I had their Green Eggs and Ham (poblano pesto and jack cheese scrambled eggs served with seared ham, spuds, and toast). My parents both ordered the Forager Rumble (mushrooms, caramelized onions, smoked gouda, and greens scrambled with eggs, served with spuds and toast), but my mom veganized it (with tofu and no cheese) and my stepdad egg white-d it. They make everything in house, down to their jams (the jam of the day was strawberry basil) and the hot sauces (they offer a range from mild to hot). I don't normally eat much of the toast served with breakfast plates, but with jam that good!? I ate that (well-buttered) toast! My green eggs and ham was a treat - retro, fun, and delicious. We also enjoyed a few cups of coffee each. On top of the great food, the service was great. The friendliest. This is just a charming spot for breakfast. I'd love to return!
