I no longer live in Houston or League City, but when I did, Panera Bread was one of my go-to quick cafés. It was conveniently close and, more importantly, didn't require a 45-minute drive like the rest of my favorite spots. I love the layout of this location. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the register and the bakery display, showcasing all of their pastries. My all-time favorite--and thankfully still on the menu--is the Green Goddess Chicken Cobb Salad and the Chocolate Chipper Cookie. Unfortunately, Panera no longer serves their traditional panini-pressed sandwiches, but when they did, the Chipotle Chicken Panini hiiiit. I'm obsessed with the green goddess dressing so much I make sure to keep a bottle when I'm in the mood at HEB. I can't think of anything that justifies coming back to this Panera. It's slow, careless, and lacks any sense of customer satisfaction. My mistake for not reading the reviews beforehand and stopping by out of pure convenience during my lunch break. I ordered a pick 2 (1/2 fiesta chicken, 1/2 grilled chicken avocado BLT) in person around 12:40PM. The cashier almost charged me extra for an apple, but I reminded her that it comes as a free side. She seemed completely uninterested in working here, which I honestly understand as someone who's worked his share of retail jobs, except she acted very off putting toward every customer that entered. My food didn't come out until 20 minutes later. When it arrived, they served it on a plate even though I asked for it to-go. That's another couple of minutes wasted... Admittedly, the sandwiches themselves tasted fine but I received the bare minimum. They're way smaller than advertised. The fiesta chicken in particular looked like a layer of creamy salsa between two pieces of bread and nothing else. What a crappy way to spend my lunch break. Picked up a mobile order, and it was fast and easy! The drive thru workers were really nice, and there was not a long line at all. Ordered the chocolate croissant, which was warm, flaky, and super delicious. I also noticed there was a lot of parking in front of the store! I went a few weeks ago and had a horrible experience. I had a mobile order and went to the drive thru. I seat at the speaker for 10 minutes before someone said anything. They asked me to give them a few minutes. I waited another 10 minutes. I then pull up to the window where the girl basically throws the food into my hand and closes the window. I got the wrong order. (Also wasn't a big deal I understand mistakes happen) so I wait for them to come back. I'm staring at them waiting for her to come back. They all see me and never come to help me. It's very frustrating especially when you feel the need to double check your order even after the mobile app tells you that your order is being quality checked. My how the mighty have fallen. I'm a big soup, salad, sandwich guy, so Panera is right up my alley. For years this has been a place that I would go to weekly (sometimes multiple times a week). Now I just about won't ever go anymore. This location in particular is truly one of the worst. The last time I came here, maybe 6 months ago, I ordered the chicken and wild rice soup and it came out watery with virtually no rice or chicken in it. Basically just broth. On the same trip the girl taking my order accidentally pulled two cups and dropped one of them on the floor. She put it back on the stack and would have left it there if I hadn't commented on it. Today I decided to give them another chance. During my order there was confusion about whether certain items were available on the menu or not. Then my order was taken incorrectly (luckily I got a receipt and noticed immediately that it was wrong - multiple instances of this at this location have taught me to ALWAYS get the receipt). Then I went to get tea to drink and there isn't any available. The cashier and worker making the food light heartedly argued about who isn't going to get my drink for me. To be fair, the cashier was super nice. It's just way too many mistakes and weird circumstances for me. If I'm going to be having Panera I'll be visiting the location at El Dorado from here on out. Well i'm working I have the person who is picking up my work call me and ask if I received my order I let him know I didn't & even double checked the app (which still said it was being prepare) I let him know what the app said he related it to the employee and they said they couldn't do anything about it be someone stole it. Probably one of the best Panera's, the employees are very friendly. The area is is very tidy and clean. I always get the spinach and artichoke soufflé, and it is baked fresh and heat up before given! The monthly unlimited coffee deal for $8 is phenomenal as well. read more
