Average price per person is about $10 not including drinks or desserts. Here is a little about what we've eaten thus far... Ruben - very tasty, worth repeating Regular side salad - it's a salad.... I think it is lettuce in a bag (needs rinsed more than once) Ranch dressing - very tasty! Makes up for funky lettuce taste. Broccoli Cheddar soup - very tasty Chicken & Dumpling soup - Dinty Moore in a can tastes better and that isn't saying much. Potato Soup - not much better than soup in a can. McKenzie at this location is a gem. I am so impressed with her customer service skills. I eat here once in a while but I come frequently for a tea. Due to a major jaw surgery in my past, I can no longer have iced cold drinks. She always remembers this and makes my drink exactly as I like (and with 2 lemons) without me ever needing to remind her. I totally forgot that McAlister's Deli was here, primarily because I do not go to the movie theater that is behind it. We decided to stop in, since we haven't been here in at least 5 years. They have an extensive menu with lots of options including salad choices. I was a little disappointed in their wrap selection though, as there seem to be only 2 choices available. The drink is huge! The last time I went to McAlister's Deli that was when I used to live in Mississippi. I swear I didn't know Texas had one until I saw this location near my house. This place was packed with kids running all over the walls, parents screaming at their kids, and people who love to stare at you. The cashier had a sarcastic attitude and acted as if he didn't wanna be there. Now, the food was pretty decent except it isn't cheap. The sandwiches were $7+; for two people my total was about $20. I ordered the Sweet Chipotle Chicken sandwich and wow it was amazingly good. As I bit into it, I could taste a tangy sweet sauce blended with chicken breast pieces, oh and the bread was soft. My significant other ordered a chicken salad sandwich and he said that it was delicious too. Our sides were mustard potato salad and mashed potatoes. My mustard potato salad tasted like it was store bought. I am pretty sure it was store bought and I don't mind about that. There really wasn't anywhere to sit unless you really wanna sit near some rude kids and their obnoxious parents, so my significant other and I sat at the back table near the restroom. It really wouldn't have been my first choice, but I didn't really have a choice. The guy who brought us our food said, "Wow, its nice that yall were able to find seating." The cookies are pretty good and they big too. I really can't say that I will be back. Just the fact that this place was packed with noisy kids really turned me off. If you come here please try the CHICKEN and DUMPLINGS!!!! So good! We normally get it with the bread bowl. Honestly we never come here just to eat sandwich or anything else. We only set foot in here for the chicken and dumplings! Lol. Today we also got the "just a spud" which is actually two potatoes with melted cheddar on top that comes with sour cream. I mean it's a spud with cheese. Can't go wrong I got the ham and cheese toastie. Very good. Melted together with ham and cheese and tomatoes. Comes with a cold slice pickle. Take a bite of the pickle followed by the sandwich and yummmm. Mac and cheese as the side.... not crazy about it. Got their famous tea unsweetened with a pump of peach flavoring. I'd say it's good. I love McAlister's! They have a pretty good selection on their menu, something for everyone. I use McAlister's pretty frequently when I cater with them from work. They are always on time and everything is always fresh. From time to time, me and the hubby will stop in to dine. Lately I've been eating Keto and they have a great salad option for it. Just leave off the croutons. When you arrive, you'll order at the counter and take a number with you to put at your table. They'll bring you your food. Okkkkay so to start they wouldn't let my boyfriend order a kids meal. Which I understand but he wasn't that hungry and the location we normally go to will do this for us. Then I couldn't get potato salad with my pick two which I've gotten not even kidding like 100 times at my normal location they just give me the bowl of it. Then I get the chicken tortilla soup ( which I didn't even really want but couldn't get potato salad) and it straight up taste like cheese dip. McAlister's is our go-to sandwich stop because they have so many lighter options and give good portions for the price. This particular restaurant is a definite four stars because they are clean and dish out tasty versions almost every time we order. The staff is friendly most of the time and always comes around to ask if we need refills or clear our table if we are talking after we finish. Our usual orders consist of the McAlister's Club for a lighter sandwich with a fresh flavor or the French Dip for a heavier option. They have several sides to choose but we swear by their mustard potato salad and mac and cheese. Lastly, we can't say enough about their tea--it really is famous! We are a house divided and regularly enjoy their sweet and unsweet versions, so there is something for everyone! We recently tried their spuds, which are large and full of cheese! We also have their nachos a go with veggie chili. I couldn't taste that it wasn't meat chili and the jalapeños were fresh and juicy. The Rotel definitely added spice, so order well! For weekends, you will want to get there early: the line is out the door and there are no tables on Sunday's after 12:00. Evening is usually split so tables are often available. read more

McAlisters is pretty delish but there just isn't any consistency. Sometimes you get macaroni and cheese soup for the kids instead of what the dish is supposed to be. Sometimes it's spot on. Somehow I missed the memo that McAlister's has restaurants in the Houston area. I stopped by after work for dinner. I placed an order online. The pick up time was 20 minutes after I placed the order. I have to say, the online order form is pretty awesome. There's options to add or take off items. It even gives you the option of lemon or no lemon with your iced tea. I arrived right at the pick up time and my order was ready. The food here never disappoints. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with the service. The staff was friendly, but when I picked up my order, they forgot to put the cookie in the bag. Luckily I checked the bag before I drove away. I went back in to get one and the employee stated that most people just grab the cookie themselves when they pick up to go orders. That's great, but it seems easier to just put the cookie in there. Or if I have to grab the cookie, tell me that when you hand me the bag so I don't walk out without it. I'm so glad I caught that before I drove off, or else I would have been mad. The cookies are $1 which I feel is a bit pricey, but they are pretty big, so it's like getting two medium sized cookies. I ordered the Heath crunch cookie and it was good. The main reason why I knocked off two stars is because my sandwich had jalapenos on it and I cannot do spicy food. I ordered a turkey melt. I added red onions and switched the spicy mustard for honey mustard. I had potato salad for the side. The food was very good, and the first few bites were incredible. Then I bit into something spicy. I saw it was a jalapeno and thought that maybe one just got stuck in there with the other ingredients. As I kept eating, it became apparent that they added a bunch of jalapenos on the entire sandwich. I picked them out, but the juice soaked into the food so it was still spicy. It didn't ruin the sandwich, but I definitely didn't enjoy it as much as I would have had there not been any jalapenos. On the plus side, the iced tea is always on point and their potato salad is really good and goes well with the sandwich. I love that they put the pickle spear on the side. I wish I could get two of those because one is never enough. That would be cool if they added the option of adding an extra pickle to your order on the online order form. The jalapenos was an honest mistake and hopefully this doesn't happen very often. As I mentioned, the staff is friendly. The restaurant seemed clean. This place is a little pricey for a deli, but the food is really good and I don't really have a problem spending the money. read more

Just started working in Webster area, and was looking for a hot soup, and sandwich for a cold muggy day here in Houston. I stopped at the right place! I was greeted by majority of the staff as I walked in. Walked up to the cashier, asked what he recommended. I ended getting the Jalapeño Crunch sandwich, with some chicken & dumpling soup! This location is super clean! The staff is above and beyond friendly! They have so many vegetarian options! Yesterday was my first time at this location and I was so impressed I had lunch there again today with my family. I had the veggie club my first day and was so full before I could finish my food. Great portions. The pasta salad needed a little seasoning but was also yummy. Today I ordered the taco salad with veggie chili. It was great and again WAY more than I could eat. I also like the way that they semi-serve you. Bringing your food to your table and taking the plates when you are done. The staff here is always asking if you are okay which is better than being ignored but still a little annoying. Yesterday I made an order to go to bring to my friend and it was a little awkward not having anywhere to wait. I felt very much in the way and was asked a 3 times by different people if I needed help. I got there around lunch time on a weekend and it wasn't packed and we ordered quickly. We sat ourselves and waited about 10 minutes and our food was ready. I ordered the sweet chipotle chicken. I was okay. Needed mayo add or else this sandwich would have been too dry for my tastes. The customer service amazing. They would come and check on us about every 10 minutes and refill our drinks. I ordered a "Turkey melt", which was a sandwich made with whole weat bread, turkey slices, lettuce, mayo and mustard, bacon and melted cheese. It was great. I also ordered the applesauce as my side, which I had no complaints about (hard to screw up applesauce). It cost about $7.50 for a small sandwich and the applesauce (which was included with the sandwich). A bit expensive for what you get, but at least it tasted good and the service was good. read more

We went there one evening when there was about five people in the restaurant, our order took 20 minutes to come out, a 20 minute wait for an overpriced mediocre sandwich, but what really chaps my hide was i picked up an Uber Eats order from them and they didnt give the lady her damned nachos and because of that i caught hell from the customer in the form of negative driver feedback and she stiffed me on my tip when it was 100% McAlister's fault.
