I went here today and ordered a small bowl of salad. Instead of getting a full bowl of salad, it was only two-thirds full. If you ask them to fill the bowl to the brim, it's an extra five dollars. First visit and was craving a fresh tasty salad. This place fits the bill. You pay for a base salad in small or medium and then choose your toppings from a choice of 50 they say. Proteins are an upcharge and they have chicken, shrimp, beef, falafel and avocado. Choice of pita chips or roll. I ended up with three proteins which obviously will increase the price. My salad with tip was $26. It was fresh, tasty, several cheeses and dressings to choose from. Given that options for a hearty fresh salad are few this will probably be my go-to for that fare. Ive spent that much at fast food so happy to pay for fresh/healthier option. Plenty of seating, clean and uncluttered. Looked like most people get theirs to go. My only negative was pricing is not clear as you are moving thru the line. Better price signage is recommended. read more

Just want to thank Salata. I never look for salad restaurants but when Salata tried to steal from me, I started to shop Salad restaurants. They are everywhere and don't try and steal from the customers and honestly much better because most of the salad bars are all you can eat and you can go back and they don't complain. The Salad restaurant right next door has hot delicious rolls with your salad bar. All you can eat. When it comes to Salata, to maximize THEIR investment; they complain when you ask to fill the bowl. This location has gone down hill. The new workers, management has started to cut corners and the food is showing it. My husband and I usually go here no less than once a week sometimes 2-3 times. Recently, the cucumbers are bitter and the whole salad then tastes no good. I like the Plum Cinnamon tea and this time the tea was terrible. My husband said it smelled like Sewer. We had another couple sitting near us and they agreed that the cucumbers were no good and their drinks also did not smell or taste good. When the other lady tried to get a new salad made or her money back, the workers called the manager who questioned her over and over. She finally got her money back. I quite enjoyed the salad here - it wasn't bad, although it didn't have anything on the best ones I've been to, which would be the one at Citycentre, and the one upstairs on Wesleyan in the Richmond district near the Galleria. The problem with a lot of them is that the portions are small. Other issues include bad service or ingredients not being fresh. This location didn't really have any of those issues, but it also didn't blow me away, and the salad could have been even bigger (like Wesleyan) maybe. We had a decent salad here and it wasn't too bad. It wasn't huge but then neither is your boyfriend. There are better locations and there are worse ones. I enjoyed it although I wish my portion was slightly larger. The dressing that I like best is the fresh herb vinaigrette and we both like it which is unusual because we usually both don't get the same thing but here it's just that good that we do. It took entirely too long for me to try this place, especially seeing as how much I love salads. The spread of options is almost intimidating! I loaded my salad up and every single ingredient I put in there was so super fresh. Even with all of my different foods mixed in, nothing overpowered another. This is a new location in League City in the Pinnacle Park restaurant area (close to Cabela's). Salata is more than just salads. They have wraps and soups too. First, you choose your lettuce type. You have a choice of Salata mix (lighter leaf mix), romaine, spring mix (darker leaf mix), spinach, and kale. After that, you move further down the line and choose your toppings. They have all types of fruits, vegetables, beans, and leafy things to add to your salad/wrap. You can also add cheese, nuts, pasta, egg, bacon, and croutons. For a small upcharge, you can add a protein. Their shrimp is my favorite and usually what I will add. They also have chicken (4 different flavors). If you are vegetarian or vegan, they also have falafel and tofu. Most add-ons are free but some are not. For example, guacamole is an upcharge. Proteins are an upcharge. Not only are you adding calories, you're adding dollars. If you want a wrap instead of a salad, the process is the same except you start with your selection of one of six different wraps. Soups are available as well. A huge bonus is the verified Salata menu is built into calorie counting apps such as My Fitness Pal. I built the salad I normally eat and saved it in to my personal favorites on the app to make it easy for me to keep track. A huge plus. I generally get the small salad with various toppings and a protein. I don't add any bread/croutons/tortilla strips. When I total is up, I still have a 520 cal salad. If you are counting calories, this is a great place to come because you can truly count them. The only reason why I only gave them four stars is for pricing. A salad can get expensive quickly if you are not paying attention to your add-ons. A salad with a protein and guacamole along with a drink can quickly become $15.00. Bottom line - Really good salads/wraps. A small is generally big enough. Easy to track calories with smart phone apps. They can get pricey if you are not paying attention to your add-on costs. I finally got to go in alone and try this amazing salad express! So many fresh yummies! The feel is very open, airy and simple! I did it! Clean and crisp like a salad! I walked up and saw the arrangement of salads to choose from! Awesome spread of greens! I saw they have, small, large or a wrap! I went large! Haha Should of went small. Doink!! I just kept filling it, filling it and boy I filled it! I had the og chicken and the vinaigrette lime Asain dressing. Actually have no clue. It has peanuts in it! The guy said ranch is really good. It's different than normal ranch. I'll try it next go! So many veggies to choose, cheese and proteins! I've always loved this aspect in food! I was never a salad buffet girl. Heart Salata it's my first choice after work dinner option for 3 reason friendly customer service cleanliness, fresh quality, and where I can pop in & out quickly from the freeway Traffic is insane returning from the galleria area daily which takes over 45-1hr now when I was younger 30/40 tops. The struggle of not being a cooking at home enthusiast but still eat and demand healthy choices like veggies/fruit with a variety of options to make salads more delicious and spontaneous throughout the bar on display with the numerous options such as salad toppings/meat/seafood/vegan options. Not cheap but you pay for what you get...so I am turning into a salad lady with Prices ranging from $11-14 bucks depending on what we select and make to our liking like subway especially pay attention with adding protein options increase calories quickly. I have an avid habit of going to Salata once a week, and I have been to multiple locations. The Pinnacle park location is by far the best location I have been to! I consistently go out of my way to give this location my business. The general manager is very professional and personable, and the employees follow suit. I returned again to this establishment yesterday. I ordered a large salad this this time for my road trip. Once again the customer service was great. David and kiara were wonderful. David offered me a reward card. I also purchased a peanut butter cookie. The best cookie I've ever had!! The place was nice and clean. Also the customers that were there were friendly as well. Thanks but no thanks on this place. I've been to two, this location and the one at baybrook and both times I was mad at myself for wasting my money. First, they overload the bowl with lettuce, as you go through the line picking out your toppings, they barely grab a handful and toss it in there. Then they charge you $3 for protein, and skimp on that too. Better ask for extra dressing if you get a large salad because they put the same amount on the small as they do the large. Makes no sense. Thought I'd jazz it up with some avocado, and they charged me another $1 for a sliver. No thanks y'all. I'll spend my money at freebirds if I want to build my own food. read more

This place is over priced for salad. Do not waste your money. $20 for a salad, by the time you add all the "extras". Other places have a better selection. Staff was trying to rush and I was the only one in line, causing him to throw food everywhere and get irritated when I asked for other toppings he had passed. They also grab everything with their gloved hands, so you basically are eating what everyone in front of you is having. I hope you are not allergic to anything! I also paid $4 for 6 "little" nuggets of turkey. The only good thing was the lemonade and tea station. Samantha is the rudest and most unprofessional customer service I have ever had! She pulled a glove out of her pocket and started making my salad. I asked to her to get new gloves and start over, she snatched the bowls and salad went flying all with an ugly face and rolling her eyes! Then gave us the bowls and it old her it was to go. Yet again with the face and rolling her eyes! I politely said that I didn't appreciate being treated that way and yet again rolled her eyes!
