I like to sing fast songs but my fans love the BALLAD I like to log in but my password's INVALID I'm walking in the air with a Snowman like ALED And I like to go to Salata when I want SALAD Salata is a Houston chain that is all over Texas now, and even outside Texas a little bit, and this one is way out in the middle of Katy and brand new. I quite enjoyed the salad here - it wasn't bad, although it didn't have anything on the best ones I've been to, which would be the one at Citycentre, and the one upstairs on Wesleyan in the Richmond district near the Galleria. The problem with a lot of them is that the portions are small. Other issues include bad service or ingredients not being fresh. This location didn't really have any of those issues, but it also didn't blow me away, and the salad could have been even bigger (like Wesleyan) maybe. We had a decent salad here and it wasn't too bad. It wasn't huge but then neither is your boyfriend. There are better locations and there are worse ones. I enjoyed it although I wish my portion was slightly larger. The dressing that I like best is the fresh herb vinaigrette and we both like it which is unusual because we usually both don't get the same thing but here it's just that good that we do. Now speaking of getting the same thing we both like to get d***.

This is a new location in League City in the Pinnacle Park restaurant area (close to Cabela's). Salata is more than just salads. They have wraps and soups too. First, you choose your lettuce type. You have a choice of Salata mix (lighter leaf mix), romaine, spring mix (darker leaf mix), spinach, and kale. After that, you move further down the line and choose your toppings. They have all types of fruits, vegetables, beans, and leafy things to add to your salad/wrap. You can also add cheese, nuts, pasta, egg, bacon, and croutons. For a small upcharge, you can add a protein. Their shrimp is my favorite and usually what I will add. They also have chicken (4 different flavors). If you are vegetarian or vegan, they also have falafel and tofu. Most add-ons are free but some are not. For example, guacamole is an upcharge. Proteins are an upcharge. Not only are you adding calories, you're adding dollars. If you want a wrap instead of a salad, the process is the same except you start with your selection of one of six different wraps. Soups are available as well. A huge bonus is the verified Salata menu is built into calorie counting apps such as My Fitness Pal. I built the salad I normally eat and saved it in to my personal favorites on the app to make it easy for me to keep track. A huge plus. I generally get the small salad with various toppings and a protein. I don't add any bread/croutons/tortilla strips. When I total is up, I still have a 520 cal salad. If you are counting calories, this is a great place to come because you can truly count them. The only reason why I only gave them four stars is for pricing. A salad can get expensive quickly if you are not paying attention to your add-ons. A salad with a protein and guacamole along with a drink can quickly become $15.00. Bottom line - Really good salads/wraps. A small is generally big enough. Easy to track calories with smart phone apps. They can get pricey if you are not paying attention to your add-on costs. I really like their food and will continue to come back. Bon appétit.

    Veggies and cheese please!!!

I finally got to go in alone and try this amazing salad express! So many fresh yummies! The feel is very open, airy and simple! I did it! Clean and crisp like a salad! I walked up and saw the arrangement of salads to choose from! Awesome spread of greens! I saw they have, small, large or a wrap! I went large! Haha Should of went small. Doink!! I just kept filling it, filling it and boy I filled it! I had the og chicken and the vinaigrette lime Asain dressing. Actually have no clue. It has peanuts in it! The guy said ranch is really good. It's different than normal ranch. I'll try it next go! So many veggies to choose, cheese and proteins! I've always loved this aspect in food! I was never a salad buffet girl. Too much cross contamination for me, but having someone handle the food for me that hopefully hasn't been picking their nose! SOLD They have wine! They have specials and the have an adorable " Tea on Tap" area for organic teas and lemonade mixtures! Super mega score!! I'll be back to eat my healthy face off... well I'll try to be healthy. Haha

The new Salata in League City's Pinnacle Park didn't disappoint today, even though it was empty!

This counter-order joint is roomy, with a slew of arcade claw games lining the wall. I've been to Japan, and arcades such as this are a huge thing there, though they usually don't combine restaurants and arcade games. Perhaps they do in Korea? I digress though, because this is a fun, clean interior, and the service is polite and efficient. We had Korean Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Udon and an order of Spreggrolls. Everything was delicious, and there was seriously enough for another meal or two. The chicken was nicely cooked with a sweet/spicy sauce. Same for the shrimp. These guys also do an outstanding job with their rice, which is almost served al dente. The spreggrolls, which are a fusion of fried egg rolls and cold spring rolls, stole the show for me however. It's such a simple idea, yet no one (else) seems to have thought of it. These folks have a huge menu, and I look forward to making my way through it.

I recall sampling some takeout from Boss Tacos earlier this year and was floored. Today was my first time actually visiting the fairly new eatery. I'm happy to report it was worth braving a small part of Tropical Depression Edouard's outer bands just to have a late lunch here. The fairly clean and spacious interior put me at ease. My mom and I were greeted by two friendly employees. After we took our seats close to the entrance, we were served the standard complimentary chips and salsa. I had a good feeling about the main items here because not only did the chips lean on the addictive side, but the salsa packed a spicy punch! What caught my eye on the menu was the Quesa Set while my mom chose The Lone-Star Steak taco. I've developed an interest in birria in the past few years, and it piqued here. The Quesa Set consists of three quesabirria tacos accompanied by consommé, cilantro and onions. I was really impressed with how the tacos' beef and cheese meshed together for an ooey gooey fiesta of flavor, which was raised a few notches with a few dips in the consommé and occasional garnishing of the cilantro and onions. Spanish rice, which is available, pairs well with the dish. Just as I worked my way through this review, I realized that I was supposed to eat [or drink] the consommé. *Laughs, facepalms* My mom liked The Lone-Star Steak. It was a bit big, almost the size of your average burrito. I told one of the workers on the way out that it's more than likely I'll be back.

I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.

Food wise, I got the Mi Kho and Ultimate Fries. For a relatively low price, the Ultimate Fries give you A LOT of food, and I recommend getting it with the beef or pork, since they pair best with the egg yolk and other sauces on the fries. My Mi Kho was also really good. The broth was nice and rich and the Noodles themself were light and easy to eat with the sweet soy sauce. The atmosphere, particularly in daytime when light shines in through the restaurant front makes for a really comforting and open experience. She still hadn't come out. You could literally hear TikToks or Reels playing from inside too.And I get it because I've been there. I've gone to the restroom at work and sat on my phone for a little bit too, so I'm not judging someone for taking a few extra minutes.
