Let's talk about what just happened. I was just at Panera and ordered food for my wife who wasn't feeling well and myself. I ordered this food, and go to pay. The young lady was nice so I decide to leave a tip. I do this and swipe my card and get a declined action which had funds on it. So I'm like weird, I'll try another card. It goes through without issue but because it shows there's a balance left. The young lady ask about the card and I let her know thee are plenty of funds for the purchase (Hence why it went through). The manager comes over and figures out it's because the tip is left off and cancels the transaction so I can swipe again. So even though the authorization went through he cancels and now I have that tender on my card after I say the issue is now to swipe again (after I offered to leave a cash tip and begin to put it in the jar he says that they will hold onto the tip)* I then make them have no choice but to pay again at this point, so I swipe the same card and it declines (mine you my bank gives instant alerts). I see the funds there and am like why is that declined. He said do you have another card you can try? (I should have said we will use this one but I was just fed up at this point). I try another card with plenty of funds and it goes through. (Mind you I know how POS systems work from a technical side and employee based side and that ain't it). I finally had to say no tip and only because the young lady was nice (I'm not taking my money out of her hand because of the managements response). I then go to the counter to wait for my food and he places it on plates and calls my name. I say, "I ordered it to go", and I could see on their faces that mistake as well. He then went on to handle it and apologize and the young man (not the management) corrected it. I don't have a problem of mistakes. I have a problem with how they handled the way the mistakes continued to unfold. The young lady (tried to do the right thing and was great) did well, the young man did his best with the food (corrected his mistake) totally okay. The management did not. It's a problem when I'd rather have the young employees who are nice and cordial be management over someone I'm sure they say has "experience" but did not display that. I am disappointed because I've been there a few times and this was the worst Panera experience I've ever had. Also just got home and two of the pastries are missing. Also tried calling during regular hours when it is normally available as I've spoken to them when making orders before closing before and they never picked up. read more

I like this place mainly bcuz of the healthy options. The corn chowder is so awesome and so is the turkey chili. It's a bit too expensive for me and the portions are not big. The salad comes with cold chicken chunks in it but it tasted very good. Its always clean inside and food is ready really quick. The smoothies are not bad either...i just wish the portions were bigger. Probably deserves another star. read more

This place is nice to eat. The staff is always helpful and clean. Good food but freezing cold temperature indoors. when you are working on computer or trying to enjoy your food its uncomfortable because you will be trying to warm up or in a rush to leave. I guess that's great for the summer months but for any other time its not very cozy because its so cold even next to the fire. read more

Don't waste your time or money. I have been to this cafe several times in the past and have ordered via the mobile app. My order is rarely ever ready. today I observed another lady come in looking for her food and her food is done but everyone is busy so she has to wait for them to hand her, her bag that is ready which is located behind the counter. At least five times I have had to wait for my bagel to be toasted in the past. They had my order behind the counter and no one even takes the time to speak when you walk in the door so guess what wait on your food and for you to be acknowledged. Today I decided let's not order online let's just go in so I did I was finishing a phone call so I allowed the person behind me to go before me and the cashier had to make it order. I stood at the register while she was helping and the manager walked past and didn't say a word. Then he finally back tracked to see if i had been helped and I replied no. The general manager Kevin I think is his name took my order and walked to put my bagel in the toaster then he walked away from about five ten minutes to cut up some fruit not saying give me a second to make it fresh or anything. I finally get to work and open my fruit cup and bagel and I think I am safe well I get half way done with my fruit cup and notice something on my grape I assume it might be some fruit droppings. No it was a bug alive and well on my fruit cup. I called customer service. And spoke to Dan he took my concerns down and said I should call and give a incident report Being in management I think that practice is crazy the cafe should call me. He gave me one reward for all the trouble I have been through. I laughed. I mean you want me to eat here again sir. But why do I need to call and report something I just did they should be calling me to address my concerns Further. This store lacks customer service, and food quality overall so sad. Worst Panera I ever been too Did curbside . got there before my ETA still waited 20 mins & so I had to go inside for my food . Also saw a guy who did curbside who had crutches who also had to go in for his food. I'm always a plan of Panera. The rewards card is great. I'm always being surprised with goodies when I visit and use mine. This location is similar to most. It has plenty of seating inside and out. I was head back home on the interstate and needed something for breakfast. So I stopped at Panera. I got the Spinach and Artichoke Egg Souflee, which was the perfect temperature. I also got a Ginger Peach hot tea for the road. The location is very close to the interstate. Because this location is in another city, I won't be here on the regular, but if I lived in the area I'd see it as a place where I'd spend a bit of time. read more

Stopped by this morning about 10am for a bagel toasted with plain cream cheese. First disappointment was no plain cream cheese - only walnut "ish" cream cheese. So we switched to a bacon egg cheese sandwich. Second disappointment was after giving a $20 bill for a ~ $5.40 sandwich I was given $4.70 back. I knew it was $20 because just came from bank ATM. The cashier looked shocked (and guilty) and without further question called the manager to open the cash register. Caught ya! I wonder how many times they have gotten away with shorting people on change. The manager came over and asked to make this right so they gave us an extra sandwich. Really? So why you trying to steal from people? And why don't you have plain cream cheese? read more

Usually Panera does a great job. This time, not so much. It took just under 1/2 hr to get a sandwich and a bowl of soup. The sandwich was burned black on the bottom. While I was waiting I saw a customer bring back an order of tortellini because several were still frozen solid. As I said, Panera is usually very good. This one needs attention. Avoid it. read more

This place is freaking AWESOME!! This store is always clean, the people are always friendly (employees AND customers), the food is healthy, tasty, and always has a fresh, inviting aroma soon as you walk in the door. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but their coffees (including the frozen ones) are pretty good too. If I had the money, I'd continuously eat here breakfast, lunch, dinner, and breakfast again. I'm sitting here right now about to enjoy my Turkey sausage, egg whites & spinach sandwich with hazelnut cream cheese! (Oh my goodness!!! .... sooo good!!) Also, if you haven't already, try their green tea. It is ACTUALLY green, but it's kinda sweet and really good. Panera is okay for pastries and bagels (cinnamon crunch! Yummmah!) But as far as food.... it's ok. I mean it's good but I felt as though my $4 turkey sandwhich could've been made in my own kitchen. There was nothing spectacular about it. But i guess you get what you pay for. I'm personally more of am Atlanta Bread fan. Now THOSE are some good sandwhiches. Again it wasn't nasty it was just average at best. But it's great for when I have a deadline or need to get some work done. Get a sandwhich soup or salad, pick a corner and get to work! Clean and fresh while making my way in to the lobby. I always try to pass but can't on the cookie, but I fell short again. The toffee cookie is my favorite. I had the lemon chicken orzo soup and it was awful. It is just their chicken noodle soup with too much lemon juice and bits of orzo. It was thick and almost slimey. Moreover, the place is filthy. The floor was sticky, the leather armchairs had food all over them, and the water dispenser gave me colored water. This restaurant chain has really gone downhill. This location can be a bit slow but the majority of the staff are very friendly and our items were always tasty and at the right temperature. In the last couple of days of our visits to Panera, the staff changed and there was an older man in there who didn't seem very happy. Then he would make us put the Splenda in the cup before he would make the beverage. Just stopped in for a quite to-go order on my way home. It was about 12:30 and there was no line. I went right up and ordered. The girl working was nice and fast to plug my order in! I was unsure if I mentioned I wanted it 'to-go' so she went and double checked for me. Ordered the Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich and a large Green Tea. The only thing I had a problem with was that my sandwich was wrapped in a brown wrapping that was just covered with stuff! They definitely needed to clean off the counters they made sandwiches on.. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but it has taken a turn for the worst. The lettuce is rarely fresh; the half sandwiches are now about one quarter, a cup of soup is rarely full, the prices have increased considerably. My order has been incorrect twice over the last year. I have been to this location multiple times, and most of the time my experience has been good but not this time. I ordered a sandwich, banana, and chips via rapid pick. Once i arrived and went to the pick up stand i saw nothing. I ask about my order from the regular pick up area and they said they didn't have anything. I waited another 15 minutes and a trainee asked if i was still waiting on an order. They finally looked up my order and it had been sitting behind the register since i walked in. At this point i took my bag and left. I got no explanation or apologies for them screwing up and having to wait for nothing. The food is decent but don't order unless you have all day to wait. The employees move like they don't want to be there and i'm guessing that's why it takes so long for a simple sandwich. Called in an order to Panera in Lithonia (Mall Pkwy), when I arrived, the worker was taking 2 pizzas out of the oven (I ordered the Margarita pizza). I stood right in front of him and watched him fill at least 10-12 orders while the pizzas just sat there. Finally, after about 10 minutes he asked what were those of us standing out there waiting on. When I told him, he grabbed one of the pizzas and gave it to me. My question: Why were the pizzas not put out for pick-up? Horrible customer service. High price for no reason. A turkey on toasted wheat whole sandwich is $9.50 and its dry, tasteless, and dominated by onion. A little salt or mayo would help. I said whole sandwich because the default is half of a sandwich you might make at home and they want $5.00 for it! Order a whole sandwich and you actually get two of the cutest little dry sandwiches you've ever seen with a thin slice of meat the turkey wouldn't mind giving to charity every weekend. I love Panera Bread and I love this location! Great for a quick, healthy bite to eat; or a place to go and get some studying done. I always like the soup and the sandwiches... Or, just the sandwich alone (I opt for the Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich). You can get a sandwich and two sides of your choice for about $6. They have free wi-fi, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, fast service, clean restrooms, and a fireplace. I just have to deduct a star because the table I sat was a little dirty. read more

I placed an online order earlier this evening (November 30th) to be picked up via Rapid Pick-Up. The order was ready when I got to the store, however, the order that I requested was not completed as stated on the order summary. I ordered two You-Pick-Twos and neither combo had the Bravo sauce on the sandwich, which resulted in my friend and myself having two dry sandwiches. In addition, one sandwich was to have no lettuce and it did... thankfully the other person was not allergic to lettuce and was still able to eat the sandwich. This is not the first time that I have experienced issues at this Panera location, but this is the first time that I have decided to contact you all; employees need to express to customers if there happens to be no more of a staple item that is usually placed on a particular sandwich... this will allow customers to have the option to choose another sandwich or condiment if they choose to. I will no longer be visiting this Panera location due to too many employee errors that are clearly stated on the online order summary. I would much rather take my chances, drive further and frequent the Snellville location with my money. Please be more accurate for other customers in the future. read more

I made an order online, drove almost 30 minutes to pick it up and when my husband gets down to pick up my order they tell him that they don't have what I ordered. Average tuna sandwich and vegetable soup, what you'd except from a Panera. This location is amongst hundreds of other eateries and retail spots around the Stonecrest Mall. Its off in the cut, inside a smaller strip of stores. Its not too far from my job, and the place was clean and we got our orders pretty fast, so, really, that's all I really expect from this area. read more

Great for a quick meal. Wonderful bread and pastries. There us a quit side area with a fireplace, but it is usually packed with people using the free wi-fi. This is a good place for soup and salad. I have been enjoying breakfast here lately. I like the steel cut oatmeal. read more
