    Fries No Salt

When you get here, ask for Gavin trust me... Today I came in for a quick bite to eat with my nine year-old our server was Gavin when I tell you, hands-down, phenomenal, great listener very attentive, even when my son will whisper certain things that he wanted from the menu. He was so attentive. I hate to speak to him directly to be his order exactly how he wanted it. I'm only giving this four stars because The kitchen still struggles at this location. The french fries came out overly salted to the point. My son sent them back. Gavin gave us no issue in the return of the unsatisfied product and honestly, I'm extremely grateful that he didn't send over a manager or share with anybody else we were having an issue. He just took the initiative and resolved it. Food is definitely better in the daytime than it is in the evening hands-down as far as consistency in preparation. Once the kitchen tightens up and of course, start cooking fries in batch orders this location will be phenomenal again.

tiny cheese biscuits brought to the table

Fantastic food and the best sweet tea, bonus that they have PEACH tea too. Had the large baked-potato with brisket as well as the 2 meat with Carolina pulled pork and subbed in brisket. Collard greens and coleslaw on the side. The tiny cheese biscuits were delicious. CRUNCHY onion rings and deviled eggs too. Our table was too full for dessert. Christine was our server, she was helpful and made our time there a happy experience. Didn't realize it was a chain as we try to avoid those on vacation, but they aren't YET out our way.

The MOST pathetic catfish sandwich ever?

Shame on Jim and Nick's for taking advantage of loyal customers! I ordered a catfish sandwich with lettuce and tomato ((takeout). The photo is exactly what I received. There was a small piece of tomato that was super soggy along with a spoonful of lettuce. The fish had clearly been frozen, was mushy with zero taste. A total waste of $12. This is my third try at takeout from this restaurant and it's exactly the same experience--order is wrong (thank goodness my hubby checked), food is subpar, and skimpy! We won't ever order takeout from them again. Questionable as to our eating there at all!

I've been here several times thought I uploaded a review but ok here we go. You can always count on delicious fresh food. Tonight I had one of my favorites- Pig In The Garden salad . Choice of turkey, Chicken or Pork. I had Turkey As an appetizer I had the popular deviled eggs. You get 4 medium sized eggs that are seasoned well like your granny's or mother. I snapped a pic of the bread basket lining - Trust Your Gut . Do It The Hard Way. Carve your own Path. Thought it was a great reminder to always always trust your gut or that nudge. It will save you time and money! If you're in the Conyers area, come on in. You would be glad you did! Oh yeah you get a basket of the delicious mouth watering cheese biscuits!

    Baby Back ribs with fries

Table for 3 for Dinner  Running errands in the Conyers area, the family and I started to get hungry, and as usual, my daughter was in the mood for some ribs.. We've passed this Jim n Nick's many times but never stopped in, although we've enjoyed one of their other locations before. We entered without a reservation and received a warm greeting. Requesting an outside table for 3, our hostess led the way. After reviewing the menu, we had a bit of an extended wait to figure out who our server was, but he eventually arrived. By then, we were ready with our drink and food orders. We all ordered the same 1/2 slab of baby back ribs, we each customized our sides. I ordered a Sweetwater 420 and the ladies opted for a couple of lemonades.  I took a stroll around the interior dining room and made a quick trip to the restroom. The whole place was nice and clean, with seating everywhere. They even seemed to have a room for private events. Upon my return to the table, the food was right behind me. We all enjoyed our ribs, though my daughter mentioned they weren't completely falling off the bone, and the BBQ sauce wasn't her favorite--it tasted like onions to her. We asked our server if they had any other types of sauce, and he mentioned a Carolina-style (I think) sauce and a Habanero BBQ sauce. I opted for the Habanero and really enjoyed it with my remaining ribs--it had a nice kick of spice. While our server was a bit slow and disappeared on occasion, overall, we had a good experience. 3.5 rating

Pulled Pork nachos with baked beans on the side

Pulled Pork Nachos were so good I could slap the chef in his face. The manager was super chill as well! The vibe of the place was good too. 10/10 would DEFINITELY come back again.

Service was good, and ambiance is as expected. Food was not great. I ate about half my meal. I ordered the two-meat platter with pulled pork and turkey. Sides of fries and Mac&Cheese. The pork came out saturated in the house bbq sauce which I then discovered tastes quite nasty. The turkey was extremely dry and equally unappealing. Mac & Cheese was run of the mill cafeteria grade. Fries were good.

Our server Gavin was so amazing. Jim N Nicks is a staple in this community and they never disappoint. I took some family from out of state here for their first time. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. It was clean and not at all busy. We went for dinner. Gavin brought us out some cheese biscuits and they were really cold. He apologized and brought some fresh, warm biscuits while we decided what to order. We did decide to get an appetizer; turkey queso and everyone loved it. I thought it was going to have ground turkey, but it had diced turkey and was delicious. We sat in a big booth that had plenty of space for the tall people in my party. The menus were concise enough that we decided our meals within ten minutes of being sat. I spent roughly $130 before tip for four meals, drinks, and an appetizer. We would absolutely go back again. Parking was plentiful and because we went on a Monday, the lot was fairly empty along with the restaurant.

Collard Greens and Mac & Cheese

My last review was a 5! Everything was near perfect. This time I was so disappointed. I ordered the 2lbs of ribs with Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens. My daughter had the lean brisket, Fries and Mac & cheese. We also had orders of deviled eggs and onion rings. My daughter loved her meal. My Ribs were tough to chew. I ate one rib and couldn't eat any more. It almost tasted like they were boiled. I even asked our waitress, Kristen, how they were prepared. She said they were smoked which surprised me. She asked if I wanted a new batch of ribs, but I didn't want to take the chance that the new batch would be the same. I filled up on my sides and appetizers. I bought the ribs home, but I can't see myself eating them. I've had the ribs in the past and loved them. I was really looking forward to enjoying them today. The deviled eggs, onion rings, and Mac & cheese were good. The collard greens were saltier than I prefer, but i ate them. My daughter's brisket, Mac & cheese, and fries were perfect. She enjoyed every bite. She especially enjoyed the cornbread muffin

Decent selection of food, but most of it at room temperature or close. I didn't dare eat the chicken when it was clear that it had been sitting there for a while at room temperature, will be shocked if I'm not sick tomorrow. Same with the cobbler. I tried the rolls and garlic bread - both so hard as to be completely unpalatable. Salad bar was probably the best part, but everything there was very low quality as well. Beyond that, the food is all very underseasoned and bland. And how do you make cheesecake bland? I mean, how is that possible? All the server had to do was give my a seat, some water and clean utensils, and I did get a seat - but the knife had a big blob of something green stuck to it. They brought me a new glass of water when the first when dry, but it had a funny/bitter flavor that wasn't there in the first one. Considering the fact that the knife wasn't clean, I would assume the same went for the glasses. Worst of all, I left a tip at the table (not required for a buffet, and certainly not earned as noted above); but when I declined to tip at checkout, they had the nerve to ask if I had tipped at the table - as if tipping was somehow required. And then argued with me when I made it clear that asking was inappropriate. Incredibly rude and a terrible way to treat customers. I should have made more of a scene, but I calmly made my point clear, no need for more drama. Will not be going back, and will suggest nobody else does either - if you want a reasonable buffet experience anyway. Edited to add: After writing this review, I decided to research to see if I was the only one that had a bad experience, and found a LOT. On Yelp, they have more one star reviews that two, three or four stars - making me think that many of the 5 star reviews are not legit. Just go to Yelp, and sort by newest first, to see that 3 of the last 5 reviews were one star - 4 of 6 if you include mine. Also, according to the AJC, this restaurant has had multiple failed health inspections in just the last five years: November 2025: Scored 59/U (Unsatisfactory). Violations included food not held at proper temperatures and cross-contamination issues. December 2021: Scored 52/U (Unsatisfactory). The restaurant failed its routine inspection after staff were observed failing to wash hands, alongside improper food storage and temperature violations. May 2021: Scored 37/U (Unsatisfactory) 37? 37?? That's not just a fail, that's a not even trying.

I joined a friend for dinner and I chose the bang-bang shrimp for an appetizer and the garlic Parmesan wings with onion rings for my entree. The onion rings are a $3 up charge. If you order the Rasta Pasta and get salmon it's a $9 up charge. Our server delivered great customer service throughout our dining experience but I didn't like that they automatically charge you 18% gratuity without properly communicating it. Then, I paid an extra tip without realizing the gratuity was already included. This was my 1st time dining here and I didn't know that, neither is it posted anywhere and our waitress didn't mention it either. I realized it when I asked for a printed receipt. It was only two people in my party so I didn't understand why the 18% gratuity was automatically charged. I didn't appreciate the deception. TIP: Please be aware of exactly what you're paying for and ask for a printed receipt before you pay your bill. When we entered, there was no one at the hostess desk, so my husband went to find someone, and they soon arrived right after. I will say I was in disbelief at her attire. She had on what looked like (at first glimpse) pajamas! But even if it actually wasn't, why would you wear that as a hostess at a restaurant, and not only that, why would your manager allow you to wear it? Anyway, we were seated and our waitress, Amber was very pleasant! I ordered the Spanish Omelet, and my husband got the breakfast burger w/ a side of potatoes and grits. My omelet was good, needed a little more seasoning but it was edible. My husband said that his burger was good, he would get it again, but the grits needed more work. He actually didn't take them w/him and he had a lot left over before he got full. Just be warned that a service fee is auto added to your check. Also, you don't get a paper check (tab), you have to see you check on their device. So, if you don't ask to see your total, you won't know until you actually get the printed receipt. I would go back to taste their dinner entrees. All in all, go try it out for yourself!
