On January 19th, 2026 at about noon, I and my wife went to the Panera Bread located at 9239 University Pkwy in Pensacola (Café# 601511). My wife ordered a coffee with her meal, but the stainless steel milk container by the coffee station was empty. She sat down while I tried to get her some milk for her coffee. I kindly asked for more milk from the same cashier who had taken our order, but even though acknowledged what I said, she did nothing while she continued waiting on other customers. I stood there for a few minutes waiting for nothing. So, I went to ask the man working behind the service counter in the kitchen for some milk, and he told a female employee to refill the milk container. She didn't. Five minutes later I had to go ask the man again. He repeated himself that the woman was going to get the milk, but in frustration I told him that she still hadn't done anything. So finally after 10 minutes he had to go get the milk himself for my wife. This is really bad service! They need better management. By the time I was able to sit down and eat my food got cold. This was our first time visiting this location. read more

Ordered a dozen bagels this morning. Should have got the "bakers dozen" of 13. When I arrived home there were only eleven bagels in the bags. Employee who served me was totally distracted talking with other employees. Service was slow, I was the only person at the counter. If I wasn't 15 miles away, I would have returned! Panera... I went to Panera this morning ordering my usual Sandwich. I tried the mango smoothie, it had no mango flavoring at all was very disappointed. I also tried the "new" pistachio cookie it is definitely not worth 3 dollars. the cookie was dry and chalky and very small. This company steals from its customers. When I try to buy a full loaf of country sourdough bread...they remove the ends of the loaf and "throw them in the garbage". This bread is simply baked off in their stores. The price is based on the pre weighed dough. By not giving the customer the full loaf, they are essentially stealing your bread. This is a Very Bad Practice. Makes me wonder if Corporate Headquarters is aware of this practice. Shame on you. read more

Love Panera! Chicken Chipotle sandwich so good, with broccoli and cheddar soup. Salads are amazing. Baguettes are delicious!! Bread bowls and Mac and cheese so good. I couldn't find a way to leave feed back after a mobile purchase. But wow! I've been going to this Panera for 2 years and I am not sure who was working today or what the difference is in the restaurant but it was the most delicious food. I got the side bagget which is normally hard and pulls my teeth out but today it was so soft and perfect. The sandwich I got had sourdough and even it was perfect textured. I had every intention of posting a five star review but this incident just will not allow me to do so. As a matter of policy I rarely ever orders salad that has a majority base of mostly iceberg lettuce. Therefore I prefer, ceaser salad with either grilled or blackened chicken, or a Mediterranean with prawns and Often a Cobb with mixed field greens. When I want an iceberg salad the classic wedge loaded with crispy lardons and an abundance of blue cheese chunks with dressing. So imagine my disappointment when ordering a popular Caesar salad with blackened chicken. Disgustingly made with iceberg and iceberg only. The Parmesan and croutons were very nice as well was the baguette of bread. Dressing was nice not the finest. After questioning why was my salad made with iceberg I was not given a proper answer. After much discussion and dissatisfaction the manager agreed to properly provide a zero cost salad made with Caesar lettuce. So today I ordered replacement salad only to get him home and what to my surprise I was given an identical 100% iceberg salad. Just plain stupid. read more

A good spot to study or get work done during lunch. Menu is just like any other Panera Bread so it's perfect for a quick grab. If you don't want to interact with people, you can order ahead on the app or order from the kiosks by the entrance. The shop is clean and well maintained, as are the bathrooms. This location is near the university and several hospitals. Power outlets are located on the wall by the large tables near the main entrance (where the kiosks are). There are also outlets by the small tables lined up across from the booths near the secondary entrance. I typically order the Mojo Chicken Salad and customize it with more veggies and add additional dressing. Sometimes they will get my bread or chips request mixed up, but they always replace it when I bring it to their attention. The only con about studying at Panera is that their coffee is mediocre at best. I typically bring my own drink if I plan on studying there for a while. read more

I usually love to go to Paneras but today was a disappointment. I always get the Chicken Fontega and its always the same on ciabatta bread but today is was on kinda french bread and had some kinda hot spice and seemed to have something left out ... especially the love! Just wasn't good. read more

I've only been early morning between 6 and 8 am and only through the drive thru so I can't attest to the inside and how service is at different times. However, for the time I've been there, I've never had an issue with the service or food. Usually I get bagels and today for the first time I got the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. The bagels ate really good but that sandwich was even better, fresh and hot. Cooked egg and just the right amount of cheese. I look forward to trying other breakfast items, especially the oatmeal read more

Stopped by on the way home from work and spent almost $60 for dinner. Three of the family wanted to try the new Pepperoni mozzarella melts. I also ordered a large Mac and Cheese and bowl of Broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was actually cold! The worst part, however, was that not one of the three melts had ANY sauce on them! So much for the tomato bell pepper sauce! Truly sad that $60 gets you about $10 of food value. Panera Bread used to be so much better. read more

Worse customer service ever. I placed an order for delivery, because I didn't need to leave the house. After tipping the delivery guy almost half the amount of my meal, because I felt bad because it raining and paying the delivery fee. I opened my bag to find out my order was wrong. I tried calling the store and no one answered their phone. I had to drive up to Panera in order to get my issue resolved. I'm not sure how they completely provided me with half my order. We arrived in the Drive Thru 15 mins before they closed and were informed we couldn't order the family pack because it was "too much food" but we could order anything else. So we ordered the same amount of food but just had to pay more for it. When we got home, we had the wrong order and ended up with a half salad and who halves of sandwiches for over $30. It's a average Panera Bread with one big perk - it has a drive through! However, it's been very busy every time I've been. This can be frustrating when your looking for a table and there are college kids doing homework, not really eating. The tables are a little cramped, but I'm sure outside seating will nice in the spring. The employees are friendly and helpful, service is pretty quick. I was so happy when they finally opened a Panera close to our house. This is a beautiful new location w/ a drive-thru & huge outdoor seating area! I love coming here for a cinnamon crunch bagel w/ honey walnut cream cheese and a cappucino on the side. The salads are very filling too, and the ingredients are fresh. I love the steak & bleu cheese salad especially. The only downside to this place is the cleanliness. I think they've just had a rough go of keeping up with the constant crowd. They're ALWAYS busy. I should preface this by stating I eat here at minimum 2 times a week. With that being said, this is by far the best lunch option available, when you consider quality of food, service, price, cleanliness, and atmosphere. The tomato/mozzarella panini was my favorite until they discontinued it, but the turkey chill (seasonal) is one of the best chilli I have ever had. The employees are friendly. The food is good. EVERY TIME I GO THEY ARE OUT OF BREAD. It isn't always the same bread but every single time I've ever been to this location, which is about 10 times, they have been out of some kind of bread. Also, the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. The toilets look like they haven't been cleaned in weeks. It sucks that I can't take my kid in to use the bathroom because the toilet is covered in feces. Maybe they should clean them daily. My wife and I really like the food usually, and really haven't had any problems until we started doing rapid pickup. We've only done rapid pickup twice and both times they've left items out - we ordered a pastry and they left it out. My wife ordered a sandwich and they left out the apples and slaw that were supposed to be in the sandwich. For how much the food costs, they definitely shouldn't be leaving things out. We'll probably just not do rapid pickup again, although it is very convenient. read more

In my experience, there's no such thing as a truly outstanding Panera. But this location doesn't even live up to the company's reliably average standards. Good luck finding a table that doesn't wobble. The wi-fi is hit-or-miss. (When it DOES work, it's fine.) There aren't enough plugs for devices: frustrating when every outlet is constantly in use and you can't find one of your own. There's a sink in the men's room that looks like it's about to fall off the wall. And as for the cleanliness: gee whiz, WHAT cleanliness? The place is usually hopelessly filthy. You might have to grab a handy-wipe from one of their condiment stations and bus a table yourself, if you want a clean place at which to sit. The counter and drive-thru service is adequately, but only conventionally, fast and courteous, and the food is hot, fresh, and delicious. But come on, Panera people: surely you can do better than this. For those wishing to spend a little extra time at a Panera, to settle in and read, or visit with friends, or peruse the Internet while you enjoy your food, try the location by Cordova Mall...or better yet, the one in Gulf Breeze. (But only if you're already close to those locations; they're not worth the drive all the way out from Nine Mile. After all, this IS Panera we're talking about.) read more
