We really enjoyed our meal at Grovers's. We ate inside and the staff were super. Their coleslaw is delicious. Their onion rings are some of the best I've ever tasted. I loved the wings although very messy to eat that's what wings are all about. I would definitely come back and try one of their salads because they looked delicious. Great hidden treasure! We always try to stop in when we are in town. Our latest visit was in for Breakfast on a Tuesday. It was pretty busy but we were able to get a spot. The food came out fast and was hot and delicious! Staff was great. read more

We FINALLY made it to Grover's after months of intending to after hearing they were the best wings in town and MAAAAAAN WILL WE BE BACK ASAP. They definitely live up to the hype! My husband got the Garlic Parmesan and I got the Honey Garlic and that Garlic Parmesan had us FIGHTING for who got the last wing. Next time we'll definitely be getting a 20 piece because between us and my 10 month old who was going to town on the garlic parm wings & coleslaw, it just wasn't enough! We did enjoy the honey garlic wings as well, but my only complaint was that I didn't taste any of the garlic, just the honey. I'm a huge honey fan so they were still great, but I think the garlic would have taken it to the next level. The restaurant is pretty small and is that "homey hole in the wall" type, which made it feel more intimate and homely for a lunch date! The service was spectacular. We went this past Sunday and all of the crew seemed to be in a great mood, smiling, joking around & being exceptionally patient with us first timers! The food also came out relatively quick for a Sunday. We were definitely expecting a longer wait. I am STOKED for the Milton location to open up cause we're less than 5 mins away and it'll make lunches & date nights way easier with an infant that's soon to be a toddler! Called in an order for the 8 piece chicken strip dinner. Was told it would be about 15 min. I waited 15 and went to grovers. I ended up waiting another 10 mins once I got there. They had a few customers inside and a few waiting for orders outside plus drive thru so the wait was understandable. Got my food went 2 blocks home and opened it up to see that although I asked for the 8 piece, I paid for the 8 piece (18$ and some change) I only had 6 of the most anorexic strips I have ever seen. The toast was cold the fries were luke warm. I have to say I was surprised and disappointed. I have enjoyed many a meals from them and always been happy with the food until today. I usually do not tell too many personal stories online bc privacy issues & most people wouldn't believe my life anyway lol but I have to give credit where credit is do here, to my very special neighbor, Mrs. Loretta. The day I moved into my house here in Pirate'cola, we pulled the Uhaul in the driveway, started to unpack. Some kids from the neighborhood came over immediately, climbed into this fugly somewhat small strangely grown tree in my new front yard & started asking me questions. Tells me he climbs in the tree every day & I can't stop him bc the old owner let him climb it. I was fascinated by this story & told him that he better enjoy it bc it would be his last time - as I unloaded my brand new electric chainsaw hubby had just bought me for my birthday off the truck.. My new neighbor, "Mrs. Loretta" yelled at him from her front porch to get out the tree. He refused. I told him if he came down I would give him $20 bucks. He was down in seconds. I handed him the money, plugged in the chainsaw as Mrs. Loretta started yelling at me "you can't do that" I didn't miss a beat, I cut it down right then. Later, I started a fire in my firepit in the backyard & she called the fire department on me. I ignored her every day, so she starts stalking me around the neighborhood in all these "costumes" lol Mrs. Loretta dresses up every day like a movie star. She wears all these crazy gorgeous outfits, wigs, hats, she is really one of a kind. Anyway, so one day she sees me out in the garden & she comes over dressed in this leopard outfit, looks just like Tina Turner from "Beyond Thunderdome" has this container of food & is trying to feed me & tells me to eat this & eat that, try this & try that it's from "GROVER'S" where all the locals go. She apologized with GROVER'S, FRIED MUSHROOMS YUMMY!!! I obviously accepted & together, we ate "Grover's" in my garden with "Tina Turner." lol Time was just flying by, Christmas came & one night Mrs. Loretta came over, this time she was dressed as a Christmas ELF, had a bunch of GROVER'S WINGS (best in Pirate'cola) & a bottle of vodka lol. Spring came & Mrs. Loretta had hired a gardener to prune. Somehow he managed to cut down the one tree that I LOVE that divides our properties. I was devastated. I cried for 3 days. I wouldn't see her. Weeks later she sees me in the garden & starts yelling at me to come talk to her, come to the fence & talk to her. She wanted to apologize & have a drink with me she said she missed me. Long story short, we made up, again, with some GROVER'S :)... Mrs. Loretta turned us on to Grover's. It's where all the locals go. Mrs. Loretta has now fired that gardener. I take care of all the trees & gardens now & when I do, I'm so hangry the only place I want to go is GROVER'S! So here I am. lol Everything is local scratch made goodness. The burgers are 2.die.4 All the sandwiches are KILLER!!! The wings are the best in Pirate'cola. Breakfast is fabulous. They also make the best shakes, malts, desserts & have the best soft serve ice cream in Pirate'cola. Trust me when I tell you, I love my new life here, I count my blessings every day. Mostly, I thank God for putting the fabulous Mrs. Loretta in my life. We have become great friends. It wouldn't"t be the same without her or our beloved locals joint. First visit after hearing about this place for a long time. (I always seemed to be on the wrong side of the road when it was time to eat.) Craving chicken fingers made it a choice between here and Foosackley's. Happy to say, I made the right choice! The place is a small and old-fashioned fast food joint that was positively PACKED the entire time I was there. After waiting about ten minutes for my steaming hot basket of strips and onion rings with Texas toast, I completely understood why! The food is plentiful, fresh and seasoned to perfection. Not too salty and the honey Dijon dipping sauce did not come out of a bottle. Better than any of the full service restaurants in this area. I did not try the burgers, shakes nor ice cream specialties, but the examples I could see around me made me wish I had saved room! (The banana split will be on my list next time...) For a summer casual lunch where you are at home in jeans shorts, t-shirt, and flip-flops, I was completely satisfied. You should make this a stop the next time you are in the area! read more

Stopped by with my husband and parents for lunch this afternoon. The restaurant was busy, so we ordered then grabbed a table on the side of the building. Our food took a little to come out but everything was hot and delicious. I had the 4 piece chicken tender snack which was more food than I anticipated. The tenders were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They also have some of the best French fries in town. For dessert, my dad and I had to grab an ice cream cone with the flavor swirl. Went for lunch today. Got there 11:15, thinking we could be the crowd, but it was getting crowded already. Place is much cleaner than it was a few years ago. I read that they finally were able to buy the building and once the sale was through, they started some quick remodeling. Inside looks nice but it's tight with a few tables. We were able to get one. The menu is very extensive for a small place. I ordered the double cheeseburger with onion rings and a fountain drink. It took about 15 minutes to get our food so I know it was freshly cooked to order. First, the cheeseburger was very good. Juicy and tasted like it was made at home. The onion rings were also delicious with a large portion. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality of the food. I am looking forward to trying their wings next. Grover's surprised me! On the outside, it looks like any other dive. However, they made possibly the tastiest chicken fingers I have had in a very long time. Due to their practice of breading it with the same recipe you'd find in country fried steak, giving them a very distinct taste. Fries were not as dinstinctive, but still wonderfully complimented the meal. Staff was very friendly, and food came out quick. Sitting outside, even those tables were kept clean, and even though the bathroom's are seperate from the main building, they were also well-kept. It's a bit of a detour, but if you are anywhere near Pensacola, I highly recommend checking Grover's out! read more

We went today for a late lunch and it was fantastic. I was craving wings and all we did was a quick google search to find this place. The food came out quick and was huge in portion! It was a first time so we didn't know what to expect but we now know an 8 piece tender can feed 2/3 people and a small order of mushrooms is enough for a full family. We definitely will be here again with the reasonable prices and quick service. The only negative is you can't split 10 wings into two flavors! read more

The place is very small, they do have sitting space outside but it was way too hot outdoors. We asked the Cashier recommendations on his fav which I ordered it was the Louisiana Cajun.
