Panera Bread is one of my favorite spots to go to when I want to get some work done in Natomas. This location has pretty good coffee. As a member of their monthly Sip Club, I get free coffee and iced coffee every day. This location has pretty good cookies and pasties, though I tend have their bagels most of the time. Another favorite of mine is their soup and half sandwich deal. Paneras soups are always tasty and perfect food for a quick lunch. The employees are pretty good here-they are friendly and keep the dining area pretty clean, providing a pretty good area to do remote work. This location has a pretty good sized dining area which gives me many options when I need to get work done. I'm a Panera Bread fan. read more

Stopped by Panera to pick up a quick dinner and the cafe was busy, busy, busy! Wait was much longer than usual after placing my order but that's ok. The staff was literally working like Santa's Elves on day before Christmas Eve. From Door Dash notifications, to app orders, to hungry in-person guests, the place was beyond busy and the staff never stopped moving. While I always appreciate my food, this review is dedicated to the staff, their diligence, their team work, and their hands on leadership (shout out to manager Chris!). I watched Chris check on each section of his staff, ask if they needed help or support, while also fielding questions and giving directions on bringing more food to the stations to be served. I thanked Chris for modeling leadership and I am saying it here again..thank you, Chris! I enjoy Panera. I had a summer salad filled with fruit and nuts. The salad dressings are excellent, the sourdough bread that comes with the salad is fresh although the crust is too hard for my liking. The serving size is excellent. The full salad is good for two servings in my experience. My only complaint is the bag lettuce which is rough chopped in the factory and has far too many unpalatable stems in the mix. They could benefit from including some other greens. I appreciate that there is no kale as it would be one more thing I have to pick out of the salad. Panera has an efficient and friendly kitchen and surely they could wash and hand tear the salad greens and remove the stems. read more

The employees here are always so nice, with a the smile whenever they greet you. I come here for the unlimited coffee and sometimes freshly baked goods or sandwiches. Stopped into Panera Bread for dinner last night even though we had every intention of eating at Sourdough and Co. instead. Panera is open until 9pm during the week and we wanted to sit down and eat so we decided on Panera. Staff was friendly upon entering and was very helpful on how to order on their menu kiosk. We ordered the Spicy Fiesta Chicken Sandwich, the Grilled Cheese and the Toasted Italiano Sandwich. All of the contents of the Spicy Fiesta Chicken Sandwich were falling out each time I took a bite - chicken bites and corn kernels. The flavor was okay - I did get a hint of spice at the end, but overall I wasn't that impressed. My husband liked his sandwich, but my daughter did not like hers and she's a tough critic. The chips were good that came with each of our orders though. Overall, Panera is not my first choice. I've never been a huge fan unless I'm in a pinch (like last night). The inside wasn't the cleanest and there were a couple of homeless people hanging out inside which I thought was odd -- not sure why they allowed them to stay. There was also a worker inside the women's bathroom cleaning it, but when I went to wash my hands, they were completely out of paper towels -- seems like that should be something that they check. I've always loved Panera. It's consistent, clean, and tastes good. My favorite is their autumn squash soup, which is seasonal. Recently I came here and there was no pumpkin seeds and cream garnishing the soup as it had in the past. Still tasted great. Got half soup half grilled cheese sandwich. This location has really gone downhill. The floor has been sticky or dirty on several occasions. The tables are not always the cleanest. This particular time I went, the cashier was super slow. And it wasn't a slow like she's new and doesn't know what she's doing yet, it was a slow like maybe she was high or something. they got my order wrong twice. And the sandwich that they did get right, is what you see in the picture....Burnt and gross. my broccoli and cheddar soup that is normally thick and creamy, was super watery and bland. My husband went to Panera this morning, and arrived before 10:00 am. The only thing I like from here are the baked soufflés...and apparently, so does everyone else. They are NEVER available, no matter how early we get there. They refuse to make more, even though they are so popular and sell out early. Today he was told that they were sold out by 8:30! While he waited for bagels to go, the clock turned 10:30, and the cashier immediately shut down breakfast. Two people had been waiting in line well before then, and were refused any breakfast items. So they left.. Our second choice were bagels, and those were even slim pickings. Only ONE plain bagel left, as well as some sweet types. Panera needs to work on their business strategy & plan. Why are you refusing customers that had been waiting in line to order, even though you still have breakfast items? Why aren't you making enough of your most popular item (baked soufflés), so you aren't sold out by 8:30AM? I have so many questions. I'm done with Panera. This is by far the worst Panera I've been to. Ordered ahead on the mobile app, I showed up 5 minutes late past my pick up time and it still wasn't ready. I waited an additional 15 minutes. I was also watching my name quickly drop from the top of the "your order is coming up" to having six other orders finish before mine despite ordering after me. But it wasn't actually waiting there that got me upset. What upset me was that when I got home to open my sandwich, I see a sandwich half-assed with my avocado not even in the sandwich! If you're going to take additional time, I'd expect all the ingredients to actually be in the sandwich and not on the parchment paper. And then the turkey meat is just a clump of meat, not even spread out. At least at other sandwich places, the employees take the time to break the meat apart and spread it. Panera Bread has been a recent lifesaver! I love the offers that they send out for discounts on food, items and drinks, and that really helps while many of us are tightening our belts due to increases all over the place. This location has super friendly staff members, and I'm always greeted with a smile. It helps to smile back :-) I have a few places in the area that I love as my go to getaway spots when working on a project, or meeting with colleagues. Parking is free and there's plenty of it. My recent favorite go to is the half sandwich with soup. They have their standard go to like broccoli and cheese, which is pretty tasty along with a varied chicken soup and some others. I try to always check out their specials to try something new. I'm rarely disappointed . The half sandwich and soup is definitely a pretty full meal, and I can enjoy my lunch for well under $15. I love that they're willing to make changes and adjustments to the sandwich whether it be to add on some extra veggies, or extra protein, or remove some thing that I'm just not feeling that day. The inside of the restaurant is kept pretty clean, and it's always easy to find a table to enjoy a meal at. The location is great. It's in a shopping center near Safeway with plenty of options nearby like a gas station, a grocery store, a dentist, and many restaurant options. There is a massive parking lot so parking shouldn't be an issue here. I'm giving it extra points for being so close to my home. This store seems to always be very busy, no matter what time you come. The lines are often out the door and it can take up to 25+ minutes to receive your meal. The staff is friendly and attentive. They might seem to work slow but that is only because they have such a large volume of people ordering at what seems to be all hours of the day. The prices are a little steep but you know what you're paying for when you come to a Panera. You will most likely walk out of here for around $30 for a meal for two making this a $$$ for me. The portion sizes are good, it's one of the few restaurants that doesn't skimp you on serving sizes. I've never had anything besides the bagels and cookies (which are amazing) here but I decided to try some of the other options on the menu. The pizza is top tier, I'd say it's one of the best chain pizzas I've ever had. The salad was also bursting with flavor. The pumpkin chowder was a unique flavor. It was a new flavor that I have never had before. Although I don't think I'd get it again, it still was splendid to try once. The chicken sandwich was also phenomenal, almost on par with a Chik-fil-a sandwhich. Their bagels/bread selection are all really good. They do flavor here like no other establishment. I have been coming here for years. The agave lemonade is great. I just tried their new charged drinks and they are great- I have thought about Getting the drink subscription for the summer - May be worth it since the drinks are about $4ish dollars and you can come multiple times a day for it!! What a bizarre experience at Panera today. First, I've been to many different Paneras across the country. It is always my "go to" place for a decent, quick salad. My son was in town from the East coast and was staying near the airport, so I brought him to this Panera for lunch at about 12:45 pm. Lunchtime, right? I've had food from this particular location dozens of times - always a good experience. Today, however, they were out of lettuce. Half of their menu is salads and they are out of lettuce? I kept clicking on different salads....nope - I could still order a salad, but without the lettuce. Cognitive dissonance set in. :-) So, OK - I found a sandwich that sounded OK. Bar-b-que chicken sandwich and an iced tea. My son ordered a chipotle chicken avocado melt sandwich and an iced coffee. Of course, there was hardly anyone in the place because....well, they were out of most of their food. We waited longer than usual and finally got our food. Son said his chipotle chicken was pretty good. I'm glad. My sandwich was some bar-b-q sauce on a dry bun with a wee bit of chicken and some cheese and onion. It was horrible. On the positive side - the place was very clean. Cleaner than most of the Paneras I've seen lately. Staff was nice enough. Iced tea and coffee was very good. Here is my take. I've always really liked Panera. If they are having to cut back due to higher wages and expenses, I really would rather pay a bit more and get a nice salad like I used to be able to get. In general, Panera Bread is a healthier fast food chain. They have some pretty delicious, real food, items without many preservatives or chemicals if you know what to get. Tried one of their new flatbreads, the Margherita Flatbread pizza - made with what flour,extra virgin olive oil, mozzarella cheese, natural basil, diced tomatoes -- really not a lot of nasty ingredients. Would be better if they used whole wheat flour, but, it's already pretty good for a fast food chain restaurant. It's packed with flavor from the tomatoes sauce, cheese and basil. I did not feel yucky, bloated or food comatosed afterwards. Would recommend trying this. read more
