My family and I stopped by this location for lunch today. We were really impressed with the level of service we were given. The staff were absolutely amazing. We received our order relatively quickly after placing it. Our food was absolutely delicious. I opted for the fountain drink with my meal. They have the best fresh lemonade here. My mom was craving a roast beef sandwich and she decided to try this location for the first time. I remembered liking them when they first opened, so we were hopeful. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. She paid about $14+ ($12 tax & tip) and received what was essentially a lettuce, tomato, cheese sandwich with very little roast beef. Three thin slices which is barely discernible in the posted picture. I've had much better portions at other Sourdough & Co franchises, so this seems to be a location-specific issue. I've already shared this feedback with corporate, though their response felt like a generic form letter. I'm not asking for a refund or coupon, just consistency and better quality control. Place is always clean, sparsely attended, but clean. That ham needs an upgrade. Also, don't put a slice of tomato on my sandwich that has a hard core in the middle. These two problems send a message that you're stretching your product to save money. Not worth it if you end up pushing regulars away to another shop across the street. I was craving a sourdough sandwich today and decided to try the Sourdough & Co in Natomas. This location is tucked back in a parking lot but not hard to get to and plenty of parking. Inside was clean and spacious. The staff were all friendly and nice also. I got a turkey sandwich and really enjoyed it. I am one of those people that orders and likes a lot of sauce on my sandwich. They made the sandwich exactly how I wanted it and it was delicious. The spot closer to me has been letting me down so I'm very happy I decided to try this spot! I've come before when they were getting ready to close. I sometimes forget they are right here. Brisket sandwich was delicious The bread was excellent and it had coleslaw on it no tomatoes The clam chowder was good definitely could've used some more pepper. However, I had it brought home to me so that was not a problem. I like that they separated from the bowl and don't put it in there so that way the bowl is very fresh when you get it It's no huge bread company but I really liked it and I'm rather picky with my bread. The gentleman that helped my husband was really nice to him and the service was good. I'm beyond wise. The sandwiches here were decent. It was nothing special but it was good. We ordered the smoked brisket sandwich, turkey and ham sandwich, and the CHICKEN CHOLULA. The chicken cholula was really good. The brisket was great, it was kind of dry. The turkey and ham was basic. I do think it is a bit pricey for what it is but the sandwich was filling. We had a pretty filling late lunch so I was looking around for what options we wanted for a light dinner. It was kind of cold that day so a warm soup was calling to me though I did search for salads first! HA! Now that's "warm." In short, for being a chain sandwich spot, it was not too bad! L O C A T I O N Sourdough & Co is located on the corner of a plaza on Del Paso Rd and Town Center Drive. There's a dedicated parking lot that is shared by all the other shops. It was quite empty when we went but it did start to have some foot traffic a half hour after we came in. They do have a gender neutral restroom inside. M E N U They are known for their sourdough and I do love a sourdough. They had a variety of cold and hot sandwiches as well as other soups besides the clam chowder that rotate, but the clam chowder is available daily. They also had some flatbreads which looked interesting. We ended up getting a 6 inch tuna salad sandwich with provolone cheese and a bowl of clam chowder soup. The clam chowder had plenty of clams and potatoes and was warm and filling and just hit the right spot. It came with a small sliced baguette. Though fluffy, I don't recall it being a very sour sourdough. It did have a nice chew to it. The tuna salad sandwich was good too! Plenty of filling. Flavorful. Though I think in retrospect, the hubby wanted to have a bit more sandwich as the roll wasn't as wide as some other sandwiches we've had in the past. S E R V I C E We easily ordered and paid at the register. She answered a bunch of our questions as we were wondering if there was some kind of sandwich plus bowl of soup combo without a drink. The food came out pretty quickly as we were the only people there. O V E R A L L If you're needing just a good ol' bowl of clam chowder and maybe a solid sandwich, then this is your spot. Very satisfying and it didn't take very long. I would be curious how their flat breads are as I saw another group order it and it looked delicious. Their house spread is delicious and they have a great selection of chips and cookies to choose from. First time going to this Sourdough & Co location. Been to a few others in the area and this was by far the best one! Dining area was clean and well kept. The staff were friendly. And my sandwich was perfect! Location is a bit tucked away in a corner next to a lot of other restaurants and businesses, but still easy to get to with plenty of parking. I ordered the double pesto chicken sandwich. Toasted nicely and tasted amazing! Bread was slightly crunchy (in a good way lol) while being soft on the inside. I order from here often. Always the same thing, a tuna sandwich. Sometimes it's full and other times, like today, there is barely any tuna and only in half the bread. It's so delicious it's super disappointing when this happens. I guess it depends on the staff. When it's good it's great but it's about 65% good and 35% not. I didn't have high hopes for this place...seeing as it's a part of a chain and they're usually...well...not good. And I was right...underwhelming and overpriced. We got three sandwiches; the double chicken pesto, chicken choulula and the smoked brisket. The pesto one was the "best" of the three but it was still just ok. I can't understand how they're still using iceberg lettuce on a sandwich over $10.00. Anyway, the service was great and the overall ambiance was good (albeit there was no one there when we went...). The difference in location is CRAZY. I live in Lincoln and LOVE sourdough and co. Stopped into Natomas location while out here and the amount of meat is basically non existent. Meat tasted reasonably fresh. Staff were helpful in answering questions. Food came out reasonably fast and bread was still warm. Price is kind of expensive. Almost $20 for a sandwich and soup. Feels like I am buying a sandwich at an amusement park. On the other hand I am quite cheap so maybe their price is worth it, given their undeniably good quality. Solid lunch spot we found while traveling through and we were very happy with our visit. I opted for a Turkey / Cranberry sandwich, it was delightful. Some of the toppings were a little weird as they throw a "standard pack" of lettuce, tomato, mustard, etc, on every sandwich. I should have caught that and ordered differently but that is my fault. Big sandwich, drink, and chips ran about $15 and not too expensive. My co traveler opted for the Clam Chowder and bread bowl. They serve it "deconstructed" which was nice as your bowl wasn't soggy from sitting. It was piping hot (bread and chowder) and he was extremely happy with it. Facilities were mostly clean, one restroom was out of order and the other needed attention, but that is an easy fix. Dining room and ordering area was exceptional. read more

Sourdough... how i love thee From the bread bowl to the sandwiches yummmmm!! They got what we love. Easy as that and done right! The sandwiches have been so good. The turkey and roast beef taste great and then add that on to the Sourdough and have that garlic pesto sauce and even toss on some of that fresh mozzarella slabs and I'm tickled with delight. And I need to mention it comes with a pickle too! The clam chowder has been good time and time again. If we're feeling like we need the carbs we go with the bread bowl and if not each soup comes with a few slices of the Sourdough as well. And for $1 you can get extra bread slices too. The cookies, finally we tried them the chocolate chip and the lemon white chocolate. Omg!! Big, cooked perfectly with some softness. The lemon had me drooling for more. With covid still trolling along, orders are for togo or outside dining. Inside was clean and easy to navigate with social distancing. Okay yelp Homies, sourdough is usually always good! We've tried locations on Howe, Arden, Davis abs west sac.... and every time it has been great! When the Natomas location opened, we were so happy but it turned out nothing but a disappointment! This location is in the same complex of Safeway, Dos coyotes, Panera bread, and UPS.... The first time when I went in for take out was the soft opening and I ordered my usual... the Italian (8 inch) toasted with half pepper jack cheese and half Swiss cheese... with Dijon mustard.... well, they failed with my order! First, they didn't toast my sandwich, second, they didn't put half pepper jack and half Swiss (only Swiss), third, they didn't use Dijon... they used regular mustard.... I even ran into the manager outside saying how happy I am they moved to the Natomas area and also expressed to him that the broccoli cheddar soup should be a soup on the menu more than 1 a day.... (and when I got home, I saw all the failures the employees did on our sandwich). Second time around.... ordered the same thing but again, no broccoli cheddar soup or cream of potato.... I had to get the clam chowder and chili.... When I got home, the sandwich wasn't even cut evenly.... they over did it with the dressing, soups weren't hot, overall disappointing... and this was our second try! So, overall, out of all the sourdough locations we tried, this was the worst one yet.... and maybe other yelpers haven't had a bad experience, but unfortunately we experienced 2 in a row..... read more

Garlic pesto Turkey 6 inch. Thought it was actually pretty good! Bread has a nice sourdough taste, soft with a little crunch. Didn't taste much pesto or garlic, but the flavor overall was good. I added mozzarella cheese and personally removed mustard and onions. Came out like 1 minute after ordering so very fast as well. Only gripe was the price. $10 for a 6 inch sandwich?? I guess food prices keep going up but that's a bit too high. I'll probably be back at some point since it is so close to my place now, but the price will limit how often. read more

Whenever I order online here they NEVER even start it until I arrive and ask, even though there is a pick up time assigned. Tonight I ordered online and arrived at exactly the pick up time. When I arrived there was not a soul in the place. No employees to be seen for around 10 minutes. Finally an employee emerged. When I told him I ordered online, the guy looked confused. He finally found the order tag and said he lost track of time. We waited while he made made the sandwiches. He was apologetic but it is clear this location is not managed well. Got a hankering mood to get me a really good sandwich and came to this place since it was close by my house. I didn't know what to expect as it was my first time to this location. Heard they had really good bread and I wanted to taste it for myself. Arrived in time before the lunch rush, ordered me a 4" cracked pepper turkey sandwich and a cup of their famous clam chowder. They sure do got good bread for their sandwiches here! It was chewy and soft, not hard. The only problem I had was the bread kept sliding off, so it made for a messy experience. Every time I took a bite, the filling kept coming out. Maybe there was too much sauce on it? Maybe next time I skip their house made sauce and just do mustard. The sandwich was good, but the clam chowder stole the show! Best clam chowder in town! It was hearty, just what I needed. The flavor was good, only wish there were more clams instead of potatoes. Next time, I am going to get it in a bread bowl. Overall, this place hit the spot for me when I wanted a good sandwich!
