What really stood out was the owner taking the time to personally help us, explain everything, and make sure we had a great experience. What a great place to find close to the Sacramento airport, only 10 minutes away They offer 'build your own charcuterie boards' and they have delicious sandwiches which you could customize also. My wife had the turkey pesto and it was great. I had the pork belly sandwich. We also had a nice glass of wine to accompany. We will be coming here more often, especially if we have to fly out of Sacramento. It's a much better place to kill an hour with something to eat and drink instead of sitting in the crowded airport. And we intend to come back even without FLYING. They also have unique bakery items and some small gifts to procure. The owner greeted us at the door and welcomed us in, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the experience became less enjoyable as the visit went on. He came across as overly pushy, almost like a used car salesman, and frequently interrupted with jokes and comments. At one point, while we were browsing the dessert case, he called out, "Come back, I'm losing you," which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. He was also very persistent about wine, repeatedly and suggesting that we needed it. What may have been intended as enthusiasm felt more like a sales pitch, making it difficult to relax and take in everything before ordering. Throughout our visit, he repeatedly told us to "focus," which came across as patronizing rather than helpful. Combined with the constant joking and commentary, it became distracting and made it difficult to make decisions. What was particularly off-putting was the lack of awareness that guests may simply want a quiet, relaxing experience. The owner didn't know us or why we were there, yet the constant attempts at humor, salesmanship, and commentary left little room to simply enjoy the experience. Not every guest is looking for entertainment; some are looking for a peaceful evening. When I asked whether the peppers were hot, he repeatedly responded that they were pickled. While technically true, it didn't answer the question we were asking. Even after clarifying, he continued to insist they weren't hot because they were pickled and repeatedly sang the "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers" tongue twister, which quickly became tiresome. That said, the ladies who served us were absolutely stellar. They were attentive, professional, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. They were a bright spot in the overall experience and deserve recognition for the job they did. As for the desserts, the carrot cake was extremely dense and lacked the light texture I expect from a good carrot cake. The triple chocolate brownie was also disappointingly heavy--more like a solid brick than a brownie. I can't eat pork but oh my did their pork belly sandwich look amazing! Selecting charcuterie items is fun and sharing them with friends is even better. It has a warm inviting feeling and you can also purchase local artist items like painted rocks, candles, graduation lei, cards, purses and of course wine! The owner (presume he is the owner) is energetic and gives first comers the welcome talk explaining your options. They have a nice outside seating area as well. I am not sure how and why I missed this gem here in Natomas. It was me, I see it all the time and since I live here. I always say "I'll try it soon" My sister is a fan and she asked to go there for her birthday. We were greeted by the staff and the owner and he was just amazing!! We didn't realize they closed early at 7pm, but this place has been on my checklist of places to try, so we went for it anyways. First I'd like to say 5 star MICHELLIN on the service . Have been here a couple of times now and greatly enjoy it each time! I love the variety of options here and appreciate the friendly staff. In addition to the Charqterie there are other gift items to pick up or peruse while waiting. The space is large and would be perfect to host an event like a birthday or corporate event. They host lots of events themselves if you see their Insta, I am waiting to be able to go to one, They have wine, sandwiches, and gourmet tater tots. The beef has a good flavor. They're more of chopped chunks than strips so they fall out easily especially when dipping into the au jus. I do like that it is dutch crunch bread, put in a panini press and then toasted. The cheese gets super melted and stringy so that was good. Cookie butter "crack" cake: A+ I was told that this was as addicting as crack and I can say after eating it I immediately wish I could have more. Tastes like cookie butter but when heated up the cake was warm and moist and the glaze on top with cookie crumble was perfection. [Natomas Sacramento CA] Thank you to El Jefe (aka Jeff) and Lydia for spending time and chatting with me yesterday and sharing the cool history of how CharQterie came about. Jeff and Lydia are the husband and wife team behind this amazing concept. Unfortunately, I had already eaten dinner but I always have room for dessert so I purchased a slice of the Dubai Chocolate Cake which brought home with me to share. Lydia explained the ordering process and showed me the goods where customers can curate their own personalized board featuring the finest meats, cheeses, and artisanal accompaniments. Towards the front section of the shop I was able to browse through beautiful handcrafted items offered by local vendors. It was a gracious way of giving back to the community by helping showcase in the shop. Lastly, I look forward to returning for occasional special events happening especially live music entertainment and, of course, I do want to try the Pork Belly Tater Tots! Finally tried this unique place, and was impressed. I have to admit, the name made me expect more of a gimmick than a nice meal. However, the atmosphere is welcoming and thoughtfully appointed, and the food is quality. On a busy day, a charcuterie plate can be so satisfying; and they do it well here- lovely variety of items and a lot of flexibility of choice. But if that's not your thing, they also have sandwiches and sides. Don't be fooled though, the single plate is actually a pretty substantial lunch. We had a single plate apiece and had to try the steak and Brie sandwich. It was way too much food, in the best way. Their patio is very comfortable and the service attentive. I got a small (1 meat, 1 cheese) and then added an extra cheese for $3. Small is $16+3+tax+tip: total was $22.50 or so. Some might say that's overpriced but you get probably 2-3 oz of each cheese and meat plus a variety. So instead of paying $7-10 for a single hunk of too much cheese that I won't finish, I get a sampling of a bunch of things! You get to choose as much or as little of the other accoutrements aside from the meat and cheese. Lots of fruit and veggie options, olives, sweets, crackers. They really pack the platter. Glad I stumbled upon this place. What a gem ! The owner immediately greeted me as i walked in and explained the menu and ordering process. Great guy by the way. Ended up getting the steak brie sandwhich and a small charcuterie for the wifey. She's loved it ! The sandwhich was great as well. My first experience with charQterie was during a YELP event earlier in the year. It was my turn to schedule our management outing and charQterie sounded like a great option. When I came in to make arrangements, the owner was so helpful in helping me pick out the food and desserts for our group. Besides savory food they also have a wide variety of desserts. You can't forget that they have an exceptional wine selection to go with whatever you've chosen for your board. On my way out, I saw that they had make your own board for $30 with your choice of two meats, two cheeses and unlimited sides. I grabbed a treat for my sister, niece and dad. It was such a hit that my sister asked me to grab another medium tray for her the following week. She orders quite a lot of charcuterie trays for work and entertaining. She said that charQterie is now her go to spot. Service is top notch! All the staff I encountered are so friendly. The shop is totally adorable. The charQterie plate we got was good. We ordered 2 items for dinner. My mom got hers but even after 15 minutes and her almost being done (I told her to go ahead) I still didn't get my sandwich. They're really great about building a board and placing everything on there carefully. Smoked Gouda and spicy salami were tasty. First off I really love that the owners are so invested in their business as one of the owners greeted us with smiles and Hoka, thoroughly explained the menu, offered recommendations, checked if we had food allergies, and set our table while we ordered. The other owner made our board and sangria. Charcuterie boards aren't really unique to restaurants but at this restaurant they have a build your own and they offer you SOOO MANY options. Your get meat and cheese proportionate to your order size and then 27 additional toppings!!! The ingredients were various and fresh!! But the pork belly sandwich was absolutely Divine!!! This is a 3.5 Star but I'm rounding to a 4. Good food, but service could be a bit better. My family and I were in Sac and stopped here for lunch. While the main focus is charcuterie, they also offer sandwiches, so there's something for everyone. The location is a bit out of the way, almost in the middle of nowhere, but it's conveniently located if you're heading to the airport--it's on the way. When we arrived, a few other groups came in at the same time, and I had read other reviews that said the owner was super friendly. Since it was our first time, we weren't sure what to do first when we walked in. The owner, I think, got a bit overwhelmed with the rush. The staff wasn't up front when we walked in, so he had to call for them. The vibe changed when he started addressing us like we were part of a large tour group--asking who was ordering charcuterie, who was drinking, who was ordering to-go, and people raised their hands. It just felt a little awkward, like we were back in school. It wasn't clear if we should go to the counter, sit down, or what the process was. It felt a little disorganized. Perhaps a couple signs at the front that say like, "Wait to be Seated" or "To-go Only" so you have some direction. You order the charcuterie box at the counter, similar to a Chipotle-style setup, and then others in our group sat down to avoid being in the way. I wasn't sure if we ordered drinks at the counter or after sitting, but you actually order them once you're seated. It could be clearer how the process works. Once we picked our charcuterie goodies, the staff finished the box and was brought to our table, and we were able to add more food items. We tried: - Small Charcuterie - Build your Own: (Feeds 1) - 1 meat, 1 cheese. But honestly, this was perfect for our group of 4 b/c we got the other items below too. - Pork Belly Tots - pretty good. We were told they are a popular item. - French Dip Sandwiches (2) - delicious! The bread was soft, and the meat was tender. Everyone wanted the French Dip in our group so we got 2 to share amongst 4 people. The au jus was delicious and portion was generous. I liked that each half had it's own toothpick w/olives. For drinks, they have a good selection of red and white wines. But I wish they had more than 2 options for bubbles. I don't like rosés much, so I went for La Marca Prosecco, the 2nd option. Wish they had more of a selection for bubbles. Unfortunately, my glass wasn't chilled enough--my first sip confirmed it. A tad room temp. Two others in our group had white wine, and their drinks were cold, you could just tell. I let our server know about my sparkling, and he brought me a new glass, explaining the fridge was broken and not cooling. While I appreciate that I was promptly brought a new glass, I was surprised they'd served the first glass. The new one was better, but still not as cold as it could've been. The food portions were perfect for sharing, and the charcuterie box was great for a group. The outdoor seating was nice and shaded, which was a relief. I noticed some folks had ordered a larger charcuterie box to-go, and I think that's an excellent idea if you're hosting something or going to someone's place and want to take something. I wish we had something like this closer to where I live b/c I would be there all the time! and would probably order a box just for myself to enjoy at home. I liked that the owner was bussing tables and actively involved, which gave a down-to-earth, hands-on vibe. It was refreshing to see an owner getting in there with the team rather than just managing from behind the scenes. Overall, the food was great--fresh, tasty, and a nice variety of options. However, the service could use some improvement. There were a few moments of confusion with the ordering process. Our server was friendly during our visit but his tone could have been a bit better at the end when I asked to split the bill onto two cards. With great attitude, he just flat-out said, "NO.... it's too many buttons" (referring to the card machine he was holding). I was honestly shocked b/c where did that come from. We all stayed quiet for a few seconds, I think from the shock and I was debating on whether to match his tone. But I didn't. He did accept the two cards. But that interaction definitely left a sour note on an otherwise decent experience. His "joke" didn't come across well. Still, it's a solid spot, especially if you're looking for a quick bite before catching a flight. If I'm in the Sac area again, I'll make a pit stop here :) read more

An amazing gemstone in a sort of closed off parking lot. We went to a concert at G1 tonight and we're in natomas after and I've wanted to stop in here. The owner (I think she's the owner) came out and told us how everything works and suggested certain things and to do sort of family style. They will cut one sandwich into 2-3 pieces to make it sharable and the charcuterie for two is huge. I had the pork belly sandwich which was amazing. We shared the pork belly and parmesan tots and both were delicious as well. She checked on us often and brought me extra napkins as my sandwich was messy but delicious. Although we just had water, the wine selection was impressive and their desserts looked amazing. We will be back for dessert for sure. If you're in, definitely recommend adding a side of the horseradish aioli to the pork belly sandwich to give it that sweet and spicy kick. read more

This restaurant is awesome...you are able to select the makings of your own charcuterie board to enjoy. Just pick your elements, and the staff will make it look beautiful on the plate. So tasty and a lovely, different option for dining! They also have hot sandwiches, desserts, and more. Within my party, everybody had something different... But What remained the same, is every item was delicious! The staff was awesome, and super helpful. There was plenty of seating, whether you want to sit outside on a nice day, or inside the restaurant. We were looking for a spot to kill some time after a meeting while hanging out with a friend from out of town, and we couldn't have picked a better place. The service was absolutely amazing, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable from the moment we walked in. What really made the experience special was how friendly and genuine the owner and his wife were. They took the time to chat with us and made us feel like regulars, not just customers. I came here on a foggy Saturday with my friends to catch up. We asked for a table outside as there were no more tables available inside. We ordered a charcuterie platter and hand picked which items we wanted on our plate. After selecting your items, they will come deliver the platter to your table. They really load up the platter. The only feedback as a carb lover would be to put more cracker type snacks on the platter. I usually eat a cracker with every meat or cheese. The loaded tator tots and steak sandwich were good as well. It was a bit cold outside and the owner lit the outside heater for us. It started to rain a bit and the waiter helped move us inside. I feel lucky to have this delicious restaurant across the street from my office building. My unit went for lunch and I couldn't get over how delicious the turkey sandwich was that I ordered. I would pretty much put it in my top 5. The owners and staff were all incredibly friendly and personable. All of my unit folks enjoyed the sandwiches they chose.
