Please understand that I've been going to Panera since it was St Louis Bread Company about 35 yrs ago. Used to love them. Now? Not so much. I got an Asian Sesame Chicken Salad to go a week or so ago. 75% lettuce, a few pieces of tomato and cucumber, a sprinkling of Chinese noodles and a couple small pieces of dry chicken breast. Had a concoction called the kitchen sink cook and it was half stale. A Pepsi place,good lineup of coffees and tropical drinks. I ordered chicken noodle soup and it was very cold. I thought I was eating one of those cold soup that is served in Asia. I brought back to them and asked them for hotter soup. The manager said it is served in 175 degrees (~80 celsius). If that was the case, when I put my finger on it I will feel the heat. I don't think she understand what 175 degrees mean. Hello, again (2nd time to order this sandwich at two different stores) I ordered the Mediterranian Sandwich for dinner and am completely disappointed. In short, literally no hummus, too much of the emerald greens ( to cover for lack of hummus?) And I ordered Xtra onions and found omly one ring on my sandwich. This is a great sandwich when made with the correct ingredients however I have yet to recieve one that is correctly made. Can you find the hummus in this sandwich? Lastly, the Hibiscis Ice Tea was weak and flavorless. I put very little ice into the drink as I was afraid I would water it down. I tossed most of it down the drain. All if this for a very high price. By the way, there were no customers in the store, some outside and overall the place was empty. Is Panerra Bread failing? Seems to be missing management oversite. Came back today to give another shot but still made a mistake by doing so. Ordered through The Drive-thru and being the only one in line, took 10 minutes from start to finish for our order. Ordered: - Cafe Mocha Hot Medium (380 calories, 39% fat) with extra Mocha - bacon, scrambled egg, on Ciabatta (390 calories, 23% fat) - wild blueberry muffin (440 calories, 26% fat) About 1200 calories and a Lot of fat for terrible food. Did it taste good? None of it did and here's why. The Cafe Mocha had absolutely no flavor. It was similar to drinking hot water and it was also half filled and most of the cup filled with foam. I asked the girl about it and said it felt light. She said that's it, which i know can't be true. An expensive drink I do not recommend. The sandwich on Ciabatta combination was a terrible tasting sandwich. I had mostly roll and one small thin piece of bacon which did not taste like bacon. The egg, though scrambled, tasted like it came out of a box. The blueberry muffin tasted like it had been sitting in a tray of cardboard box, was hard with no flavor. For the amount of time and money spent here, it was a wasted trip and one I should really look back and know not to return. I do not recommend this business. read more

Decent for a chain. I usually come for breakfast. I like the coffee, it's strong and consistent. The bagels and egg sandwiches are pretty good, but I stay away from the cold cuts because they are usually slimy. For lunch items I like the French onion soup and the sierra turkey sandwich. While the lady at the cash register was absolutely lovely and one of the workers serving the food was very polite some issues that were to hard to ignore happened. When our bagels were ready no name was called and we were not given a pager. One of the bagels had the wrong cream cheese and was completely burnt! So I just asked if we could get the right cream cheese and a regularly toasted bagel.... the worker who went to "fix" my order THREW an untoasted, uncut bagel, in a paper bag on the counter said "here!" quite rudely and disappeared into the back. I decided I was not going to try again, as quite a long line had formed behind me and I just accepted the wrong order. Normally I would chalk this up to an overwhelmed, understaffed restaurant BUT I happened to notice that 3 of the 4 people in line before us all had wrong orders that needed to be fixed as well...While I love panera's food I would not recommend going to this location. read more

Went to the Seabrook NH Panera location for lunch. Ordered from the drive up as we were in a hurry. I ordered Broccoli soup, and were told they didn't have any more left. So I ordered a half Tuna sandwich with lettuce instead. Thee hubby ordered the Steak and White Cheddar Panini. They asked him if he wanted a half or whole, he ordered a half. I opened the my sandwich and wondered where the tuna was. There was literally a teaspoon of tuna on the sandwich. I was so ripping I asked my husband to drive back to the restaurant, that I was taking the sandwich back. I brought it back in, they took it threw it away (didn't even look at the sandwich), and came back with a new one. The half Steak and White Cheddar had literally nothing in it. Mainly bread. Was horrible. I tasted and do agree, horrible. I've been to Panera many, many times. Usually get salad or soup. Usually very happy with anything I've gotten, but will never go to this location again. Mind you I paid for bacon and eggs, no one mentioned they were out and offered to substitute it with something else. They just pass it through the drive through window and hope you are back on the highway before you find out that they "f#%*ed you." They also didn't put basil on either of our sandwiches. I stopped in to Panera Bread located at 700 Lafayette Rd. When ordering I inquired information about how much more expensive this Panera Bread was compared to the one in Maine. I paid $12.50 for the identical Deli Turkey sandwich, chips, and pop in Maine. This Seabrook, New Hampshire Panera Breads located at the above mentioned address cost me $16.46. The lady that waited on me which had a nose piercing and was a heavy set woman responded to me in an arrogant tone of voice. She said, I don't know about the Panera Bread in Maine. I said I'm telling you exactly the cost I paid in Maine. I definitely would think Maine being a tourist area would've been an area that could justify a higher cost than the one in Seabrook. Sadly, both my Mom and I both had a hard time chewing the crust on the bread. It seemed like it was a bit stale. With the combination of stale bread and a lady with an unprofessional tone of voice I wouldn't recommend this Panera Bread. Instead I would recommend the Subway which was in the same area as was the Seabrook, NH Panera Bread. I hope this review can help others not to pay a high price just to get their sandwich with stale bread. Not to mention, deal with a lady that doesn't know how to conduct herself as a professional. I Used to eat here a lot and had to stop because the majority of the staff should never have been hired to deal with people and the serving sizes were way smaller than the other Panera's I have been to. But lately I have found myself needing a quick healthy salad to go for lunch and the last three salads I had there were great. They still need to work on consistency but overall very good. When I got my salad, I noticed it was Bleu cheese instead of feta (very easy to tell the difference) when I brought it up to the counter, the employee insisted it was feta... really? It has bleu dots in it and it smells like bleu cheese... its bleu cheese. I also repeated no olives. He makes it again... with BLEU cheese again.. NO JOKE. and olives. I return it again, stating it again has bleu cheese and a greek salad comes with feta. He gave me an annoyed look and after 10 minutes of waiting, I got my salad... made the right way. The food is good. It's the bread that keeps me coming back. It's a chain bakery/cafe so you can't expect more than 'good" in my opinion. The restaurants are always clean, which is a plus when you are looking for something quick & easy. Out of all the Panera Breads I have gone to I would probably have to rank this place the worst. Greeted by unfriendly staff with extreme attitudes especially towards other staff members. Erin, the cashier seemed bothered by the fact that my girlfriend requested no croutons in her salad and that she wanted chips instead of bread because of an allergy. My buzzer went off without my food being ready for another five minutes. When I did get my food I basically had two pieces of toasted bread with a non-existent amount of chicken or avocado on a chipotle chicken avocado melt not to mention it was cold. They also put croutons in the chicken Caesar salad after specifically requesting not to due to an allergy. The salad lacked almost any chicken but had plenty of croutons. The place was barely even busy for lunch hour, and it wasn't even my order that was messed up, as several people went back. Bad food. We each ordered a sandwich, hoping for something healthy and tasty to eat after shopping. They were out of the bread I wanted but that was okay. But the avocado and turkey sandwich consisted of some sort of fake (reconstituted?) turkey instead of sliced turkey and little bits of avocado, limp partially black lettuce that I couldn't even eat, and a few little bits of tomato. It also contained a tiny bit of bacon that I didn't want but it came with the sandwich. Coffee was blah. Husband's sandwich had fake turkey too and black, spoiled lettuce. No flavor at all. We split a coffee. My sandwich was called a half even though it was one sandwich. So for 1/2 sandwich, one whole sandwich which was actually two, and a coffee, we spent $20. Kind of high for bad food. The service people were extremely nice though and it wasn't their fault that the food was so bad.
