First time. The pick 2 options are confusing. Serving size was too small on all items ordered. The people were very nice, which is worth at least two stars. Got their green tea, which tasted like it had no actual tea in it, very artificial. Our order was wrong on two counts, and they almost forgot to put the bread bowls in our to go bag. The sourdough is very good. Prices are too expensive for such a very small serving size, I just can't get over that so I can't give it more than two stars. I go to this location weekly and it's o.k. Most of the people working there are friendly enough (but hard to tell who works there and who does not as there are no uniforms and rarely does anyone where a name tag). Sometimes see people going behind the counter and I think they are customers. Anyway, the food is decent - even if slightly overpriced - but I have gotten I don't eat there anymore, only get a cup of coffee. The overall appearance of the store (cleanliness and maintenance) needs help! It just appears to be very disorganized with stuff all over the floor in the food prep area (as seen from the register), staff belongings (coats, purses, etc.) on the counter where food is prepped, floors dirty with crumbs that have obviously been there for an extended period of time (behind the bread slicer), cold beverage dispensers dirty. Just an overall appearance that the place needs to shut down for a day and do a serious deep clean of every area. read more

First time here. Heard a couple complaining about their service on the way out as I was walking in. Place is a little dirty, tables not wiped. Cashier didn't greet me at all, I had to greet her which was pretty awkward. Took my order in which she was painfully slow. Filled up my drink which is nice that they have a selection of teas. Got my food. I ordered a soup and half sandwich. Soup didn't come in a bread bowl as ordered, but I didn't return it. Soup was also at room temperature and it was pretty bitter. I've had inconsistent service at Panera, Selma, TX in the past. But today it was very good, despite the rush the counter personnel were friendly and even patient even after I mistakenly ordered from the breakfast menu in the afternoon. Our food order was up relatively quickly. My flat bread tomato and provolone was pretty good. It had a sauce on it that was a bit too tangy but that is just personal preference, it was still tasty despite. They did goof up my coffee order though, I ordered a hot mocha and was given a cold mocha. It as completely understandable however in consideration that it is sunny and in the mid eighties today. Who drinks hot coffee on a hot day? But no harm no foul, got a free chilled mocha along with my hot mocha. Extra caffeine! Who can complain about that? read more

Simply awful service. I just went in for my first and last visit. I asked for a bagel, just for them to say that they were out, so I asked for a parfait and an iced coffee. After paying, they said that they are out of granola. I didn't ask for a refund because the girl didn't seem confident in what she was even doing in the first place. I then get my half filled cup of yogurt and proceed to get my coffee, just to realize that the iced coffee was out! Terrible service and a staff that couldn't seem to care less. read more

Management here is rude as hell. Ordered 2 sandwiches and soups online with their Rapid Pick-Up service. Walked in to be blown off by the employee (who turned out to be the manager) pointing me to a random area of shelves and kiosks. When I walked over and asked for assistance, he walks over to where I'm currently at raising his voice and shaking his finger in my face, scolding me for not magically knowing that the rapid pick up orders are on a random, unlabeled shelf. Having recently moved back to San Antonio from Austin, I was excited to find a Panera Bread location near my work. I work in North San Antonio near Selma and I actually was just driving around during lunch one day and found this by accident. It is now one of my regular places to eat for lunch! The secret to avoiding the lunch crowd (and there will always be one) is to show up around 11:45 right before the rush starts. I have always loved the Austin location for their Chai Lattes and of course their delicious food and this location in Live Oak did not disappoint! A plus to this being one of my regular spots is that their free wi-fi always works! This place is still my favorite for Chai Lattes and I love love love their bakery. For lunch, I always get their 2 for 2 which is either half a sandwich with a salad or soup or soup with salad. The Frontega Chicken sandwich is one of my favorites. It's always served warm and the bread is always perfect! I recently tried their Fuji Apple Chicken Salad and it was delicious! At first I thought it was odd that they used apple chips (dried apples), instead of fresh apples but it was actually pretty good! The only reason Panera Bread loses one star with me is that I never liked that the person that takes your order is also the one that makes your drink. Maybe I'm the only one that doesn't like this, I don't know. But I think that especially during lunch or when their really busy, it takes alot of time and it makes the line go slower. I think that at least during their peak hours, they should have a different person stationed at drink station making the lattes, mochas, etc. Other than that, I am never disappointed with Panera Bread and I will continue to be a regular! read more

First time using rapid pick up. I think the people who work here are sandwich ninjas. Just as I was about to go check on my order, a bag appeared out of thin air in the to go section. It scares me that you just take the sandwich and go. It makes me feel like I am stealing but I was not and it was nice not going in a line. The food was very customizable in ways I had never known were possible-possibly to a detriment in the case of my avocado, orange, feta, gorgonzola, chicken, strawberry, blueberry, pecan, apple chip poppy fiasco which was quite good all things considered. Panera Bread at the Forum is my favorite! Robert and his team rocks! I have been a loyal customer since they've opened the Forum location. They know me by name and are always friendly and helpful. I went there today to buy some baked goods to give to a friend who just had a death in her family. Robert offered to bake everything fresh so that it would keep for an extra day for the family. I have been here a few times breakfast is never to busy early morning but after eating a breakfast meal you will probably still be hungry. Lunch/dinner can be very busy with a long wait. Quality of food is great just the portions are tiny a plate with a half sandwich is sad and I wonder were my other half went. It's an extra to have the full sandwich. I'm a fan of panera but this location could use some work. I've ordered to go here about 5 times, both rapid online pick up and walk in and the order has been wrong or incomplete 4 times. I don't know why I never learn to check it before I leave. I guess that is my fault. I went for the first time to Panera Bread here in San Antonio. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, a tea and a carrot cupcake. The salad wasn't too flavorful, I had to put lemon juice to give it more flavor. But the disconcerting thing was when I opened the container where the carrot cupcake was, a tiny fly crept out of it. Yikes! When I asked for another one, the server was very nice and he brought me another one, but it was stale. Not good at all. I went to get a refill of hibiscus tea, it ran out. AD Panera Bread: Free breakfast sandwich for veterans and active duty military until 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11. Bread had a special for veterans and they were posted online as a place for veterans to go and receive a discount. My wife and I went because we have enjoyed the location after seeing they were doing something for Vets. We waited in line and when we finally got to the front only to find out this location had exempted itself from the corperate promotion. No signs, no warning, just getting to the front and finding out. Like most Veterans, I was tempted to order anyway and not make a big deal out of it. After further thought, I was offended that this location that was in the middle of a military community would not want to show the appreciation for vets that corporate stores were promoting! Considering I went to the location due to the promotion, waited in line, Im not sure that this was no less than a bait and switch. If the owner felt they wanted to exclude themselves then at least have the courtesy to inform those of us who served and patronize your store to leave without trying to sell us at the register! read more

I usually head over to Red Robin when I go to this shopping center. This time I decided to give something new a try. The atmosphere is great; it's neither too quiet nor too loud. I came here around 2:30 on a Wednesday, so it wasn't too busy. I really wanted to get something from the bakery, but I had already ordered a sandwich and a peppermint hot chocolate. My order did not take long to make at all. And I'm not sure if the bread that came with my sandwich was supposed to taste somewhat sweet and like cinnamon, or if the guy who made my sandwich had touched a cinnamon pastry beforehand. Either way, it gave it a nice little touch of flavor, lol. The quality of the bread was great; it tasted fresh and was not bland. I even ate the crust, something I rarely do. I enjoyed everything that I ordered. I intend to come back and get something from the bakery next time! read more
