Panera Bread one of favorite restaurants, but the guys have been struggling. Not sure if it's staff shortages, managers or what. i ordered via the apt, and it shows a 25 minute wait. I'm the store, only one person waiting, but the screen is out. This is definitely not the panera bread chain i know. As i wait, i can hear and watch the elderly cashier coughing and hacking with congestion. It could be allergies, but in this COVID environment, it makes me nervous.

If you have some where to be and want a fast meal! Please do not come to this Panera! My BF and I wanted to get something quick. I mention Panera because I really like their sandwiches. My BF had never been and I was raving about this place to him so he said let's stop by. We arrived at the drive thru at 9:33AM. We had two cars in front of us. By the time we get to order it's 9:43Am. We order TWO sandwiches! We continue to wait. We finally get to the window and pay $22.58 for TWO sandwiches! We continue to wait. They had 5-6 staff members in there, they seemed confused on what they had to do from their facial expressions. We FINALLY get our TWO sandwiches at 10:03AM. 30mins for TWO sandwiches is completely unacceptable! I like their sandwiches but not to wait 30 mins in a drive thru for two sandwiches.

If I could add another 0.5 star to leave 3.5 stars I would. The food is good. The service is good, too, but leave some extra time if you come during the lunch rush hour. As a note the "breakfast only" items are not clearly marked. After we discovered the ciabatta, chicken, and egg sandwich wasn't available we decided to get the Frontega Chicken sandwich. This was good! Warm, tasty, and enough for us to share. We got an apple as our side and that was a bit sad, so we'll get the chips side next time.

I'm going to be gentle since this is a franchised food chain. My wife and I love Panera bread and eat at multiple locations for Panera often. The positives: -The staff is super friendly and engaged. Solid group of folks. -Relatively quick service at the drive thru. The negatives: -I've had wrong orders at this location far too many times. Once? Okay, people make mistakes. Twice? Annoying, but again we're all human. But three plus times it's kind of a habit. I once ordered my son (a very picky eater) a kids Turkey and cheese. We got some sort of chicken panini instead. Things like this happen far too frequently. -THE PORTIONS. Now this one is hit or miss and I assume is a direct reflection on who is working at the time. I'll order a "whole" salad (usually my go-to) and it'll be a half salad or less. I'm talking about me paying $50+ for a family of four to not only get wrong orders, but only partial portions. The portion issue is a little more consistent than the wrong order issue. All-in-all it's a fast food chain. Granted you're essentially paying restaurant prices or more for convenience, but at the end of the day it is a fast food chain. The Silverdale location isn't the best location if you're a Panera fan. Sorry.

I finally had their TNT burrito, and it is spectacular in taste, design, thought and price. Danny is sitting on an unbelievable gold mine if they were to offer the TNT with choices. Let the customer have one or two meat choices and two or three sides of their choice. They have all the meats and all the sides just combo them together. For example: I would personally order brisket, pork rib meat, mac and cheese, baked beans and coleslaw. All rolled up in a flour tortilla. Something to digest. Oh, Danny boy the pipes the pipes are pippin'! p.s. You won't find better brisket anywhere. That's what separates the men from the boys in the BBQ world. Take it from Kansas City Fats.

My nitpicky toddler even loves the mac and cheese and ribs! Service was excellent the place was packed little over an hour after they opened on a Thursday. Wait time was reasonable as there was quite a few orders being brought out. They had a TV for entertainment in there and was quite toasty. Got to order to go and unfortunately the baked beans spilled on the inside of the bag all over the containers of mac and cheese and our other two main dishes. I hope next time they'll put the baked beans on the bottom instead of the mac and cheese.

Jersey Mike's jumbo sized subs were what came to mind. This Jersey Mike's was well staffed at each station and overall very efficient as a team dealing with online/pickup, takeout, and onsite orders volume. Ordering, prep, and payment went smoothly. We ordered both a jumbo #13 Italian on white bread, Mike's Way with all the fresh vegies, seasonings, and oil/lvinegar drrssing. The other jumbo sandwich was a grilled #42 Chipotle Chicken Cheesesteak on rosemary parmesan bread. We passed on the chips, treats, and fountain drinks that were also available for purchase. Once at our destination and unwrapped, what was notable were the generous amount of Italian meats, cheese, and chicken that were provided. This was in contrast to other Jersey Mike's sites visited in North Seattle, Shoreline, and Woodinville. Definitely we prefer the tasty, well crafted subs from Jersey Mike's versus Jimmy John's, Subway or Quizno's. Great experience & can recommend this Silverdale location!

Lost a 20 year loyal customer. I never leave reviews and it's a long one, but please stick with me…read moreas what I have to say comes after thoughtful consideration as a long time patron. I've been coming here since my son was born 20 years ago - when it was 'Monica's Bakery' - and it's always been stellar. Best tuna sandwich I've ever had. As my daughter grew up she loved the egg salad sandwich, and the whole family were big fans of the delicious cookies. The quiche was also fantastic. Everything WAS positively cravable. I'm so sad to report now that the new ownership of 'Old Town Kitchen' has officially taken over it's gone way down hill. No longer will you receive fresh-baked pillowy bread for your "sammy" nor can you purchase a delicious loaf of that same bread to take home. No longer will you find the exceptional baked goods you're accustomed to. There's no longer choice as to what's in your sandwich, no more "build your own", they're now only "pre-built". The bread looks impressive but is udderly underwhelming. Dry as a bone and unpleasant. IT'S A TOTAL DEAL BREAKER. There's now largely more bread than filling where the opposite used to be the rule. I actually felt the need to remove half of the bread in order for it to be edible. Had the bread been soft & fresh that would've been unnecessary. The filling recipes have changed too. The tuna filling was previously perfection and now it's very...meh. Also while I'm not averse to onions, I didn't need them or want them in my filling. No more are the tasty pickles that elevated the already amazing sandwiches. Now it's a bag of chips or a tiny, and I mean miniscule, side of cold pasta salad. It's like 3 bites worth. Also sadly very lackluster in flavor and texture. The cookies and baked goods were all just generic looking frosted things and none seemed unique or even particularly appealing. While change is inevitable, the hope for a beloved locale such as this would be at the least, the constant of quality. The new ownership has not only changed the name but sucked out the heart & soul of the place. Remodeling a building cannot compensate for food devoid of quality and great flavors. There's no 'cravability' here. We are so very disappointed that after loving a local business for 20 years it's been gutted. There nothing here worth returning for, therefore we will not be returning. I definitely cannot recommend The 'OTK' to anyone, least of all the local loyals who have come to rely on this establishment for consistent quality because sadly it no longer exists. What a shame :(
