I'm always pretty happy with my orders and the taste is on point. But this time my sandwich was mixed up with another sandwich. Someone in my group got my sandwich and I got his sandwich. By the time I opened it, it turned out to be his. He ate up my sandwich since he didn't know which sandwich his wife bought for him. I didn't open mine until he finished eating it. Panera bread as a company is great. But what causes the reason for a one star review. Is almost always associated with the employee. And sure enough my interaction with this employee Noreen is and most likely will always be a disaster. Her greeting made me feel unwelcome. It is obvious the sausage and egg are microwaved products - no better than what they serve at a school cafeteria. At least McDonald's cooks their eggs and sausage on a griddle. Baguette was ok. Cashier had horrible customer service skills. She had a terrible attitude and then gave us 11 bagels instead of the 13 that I paid for. This was our first visit to Panera's so I waited at the front of the restaurant for our to-go order, not realizing that you're supposed to go to the back of the restaurant. So while my family waited in the car, I waited a long time in the restaurant, right by her register, before asking how much longer it would be. Listen, I have to agree with most others. Yes, Panera is expensive for what you're getting. But if you're in Solon, you know there's a serious lack of coffee shops in this city. Your options are Panera or Starbucks. As a work from home-r and someone with a lot of graduate student friends, meeting to work is kind of my thing. This location is always dirty. If you're coming here, be prepared to bus a table before you sit in it. I always have to decide which I think is the least disgusting to sit at, wipe it down with napkins and throw away the trash (they should give me a discount on my meal for my cleaning work). Yes, I know I could just not come here, but every time I hope it will be better than the last, and again, horrendous lack of options in the area and it will do in a crunch. Also, be prepared to wait over 20+ minutes if you're getting food, even if it's just a bowl of soup. Again, half the time, we're also working, so it doesn't mind us too greatly, but the hairs on your head may grey if you're just standing by the pick-up counter. All gazillion people currently standing around the corner look like they're about to Hulk out. I totally get it from a staff side- half the people that work at Panera are kids that have to be trained, but they look so miserable while doing so. This place's service is beyond bad. It actually makes me FURIOUS. My children like their food so we go there more often than I am willing to. The line is always long. The person who works at the counter is ALWAYS NEW. On 3/2/2018, it took us more than 20 minutes in line to place orders with a BRAND NEW person who clearly has no clue how to work the station. We ordered 3 items, all of them came out wrong. Even the person who's putting the food together got frustrated and yelled at the register's direction. I was delighted to find from the Panera App that I can pick up my rapid pick-up at 6:35am. When I get to the SOLON location however, the people won't open the door. I knocked on the door and one lady reluctantly came. She just pointed to the sign and mouthed "we open at 7" and turned to leave. I waved my phone at her and let her know that the APP said I can pick up my food at 6:35. She again, grudgingly opened the door and said, "WELL YOUR ORDER IS READY BUT WE CAN'T GIVE IT TO YOU BECAUSE WE OPEN AT 7". I come into the restaurant to relax and do some work on my laptop. I get there about 1 and the staff wasn't too loud, just unprofessional. I walk to the counter to wait for the younger employee to greet me and she doesn't, luckily an older employee greets me, she was friendly and helpful. So this morning we decided to give Panera in Solon, Ohio a chance to WOW us, and to actually have breakfast food ready to serve for their patrons. Since we have had nothing short of bad experiences here over the last 3-4 years and actually haven't spent our time going to this location we figured that hey, it's Saturday, it's officially Spring and maybe the Experience will be better. So my wife decided to download the app in order to place mobile order so we could eat on the go. This is not a new thing for most places (McDonalds has a mobile app) so we didn't think that we would run into any issues. Well our receipt in the mobile app stated that our order would be ready at 8:50. When we arrived just shy of 9:00am my wife was greeted by a hostess who was very kind. She informed my wife that our order couldn't be completed since they were out of the items we ordered. At that point she then proceeded to notify a manager to further explain the issue and to answer any questions about the inconvenience. Sean ( the manager) abruptly snatched the order ticket out of the hand of the hostess and began to tell my wife that yeah, we are out of the items you ordered but we have other stuff. Well , we didn't order "other stuff" and we placed our MOBILE order almost an hour prior to showing up. No call and no communication from the Panera staff in regards to our order meant that all should have been well. So here we are. Again. At Panera, listening to someone offer us other option with a rude tone, while we try to spend OUR time and money with an establishment that clearly doesn't grasp the business concept of "if you run out , replenish". So we ended up getting a refund and wasting almost 1.5 hours of our life that we will never be able to recoup all because we tried to order breakfast from a location that has failed us time and time again in the past. This might be the worst experience I've ever had with a restaurant, ever. Two weeks ago, I attended a 5 day retreat in nearby Novelty. We ordered catering, since there was about 15 of us, and filled out a form as to what our orders were each day. They did not get even one day correct for me. Not one. Left things off that I wanted, added things I explicitly stated on the form I did not want, and one day I even got a completely different menu item I never ordered. When I arrive there was one customer and six employees stand around talking. The employees ignored me for several minutes before a new employee came to take my order. I asked for a duet meal and he kept asking if I wanted a pick two. I told him no I want the duet meal with tuna salad and soup. I also stressed that I don't want the bread. He again asked me if I wanted the pick two and I again told him no I want the duet meal with tuna salad without bread and veggie soup. He was ringing up a pick two and didn't know what a duet was. Finally another employee that had been up front came over to help so for a third time I told them I want the duet meal with tuna salad no bread and veggie soup. She was able to ring up my order correctly and asked me if I was a rewards member and I told her yes and swiped my card and paid. Without even waiting for the receipt to print or offer it to me she turned away saying they'll call my name when my order is ready. So I go to the pickup counter and there were four more employees standing around talking who looked like they were focused on closing instead of filling orders. I spoke to one that appeared to be a manager as she was dressed differently from the others and told her about my experience and also let her know that I didn't want bread. She asked if I just wanted the veggies in a bowl with the tuna and I told her yes. I also told the other employee making the food I didn't want bread. Another employee who was actually making my order made it on bread. By this time it had been 15-20 minutes since I walked in the restaurant. I told them I still needed to get to the grocer before they closed in 10 minutes. They asked if I wanted them to make it again and I told them I don't have the time. When I got home and unwrapped the sandwich to remove the bread there was barely any tuna salad on the sandwich. It appears this store doesn't care about the customers, the quality and quantity of the food and the accuracy of the orders. I would not recommend this store. IF I could give a ZERO I would!!!! WORST customer service ever!!!!! The manager Shonnie (sp?) is extremely rude and encourages her staff to follow her lead. I have a legitimate medical reason to not wear a mask and when I entered the store I was handed a mask to order. I politely declined and said why. She told me she wouldn't take my order with out a mask and offered no other solution... I proceeded to tell them it was a violation of the ada act and the manager came up and said you can do online ordering and curbside, VERY RUDLEY, and pointed to the door. I asked if someone could please come outside and take my order due to the fact I have cash, not a debit card for my transaction today. There is no drive thru option either... as she pointed to the door and listened to me ask my question politely she chuckled loudly and mocklingly said have a great day!!!! And her employees all followed giggling!! READ THE OTHER REVIEWS!!!! The manager and staff have been terrorizing customers for years.... and PANERA DOES NOTHING..... look at these reviews y'all!!! Crazy this is still happening and allowing this woman to belittle hard working PAYING customers.... regardless of the mask situation, I wasn't rude y'all and politely asked for compassion... Terrible service. Ordered a you pick two with salad and sandwich and gave me two salads. When I told them it was wrong the girl at the counter rolled her eyes at me like it was MY fault the order was wrong and I should have just taken what I didn't order - I will say it wasn't her fault that the order was wrong the lady at the register put it in wrong. But NO communication back to her coworker as I waited an extra twenty minutes for my correct order. Also while i was waiting, for watched about three other people come up with order corrections/issues. And a guy wait for like ten minutes for his to go order. Decent, if overpriced for breakfast. Lunch/dinner is overpriced as inconsistent quality. Coffee is average. Espresso drinks are pretty good, I'm not a coffee connoisseur but they get the job done. The bagels here are by no means traditional style, they are almost like a croissant/ bagel hybrid but I like them that way. My favorite thing is probably the mini soufflés, always consistently delicious. As for lunch/dinner, your best bet is to only get a seasonal item once or twice. If you order the same thing each week, it will decrease in portion size and quality until eventually, the restaurant has to make substitutions and they take it off the menu. And the staff will by no means be apologetic or helpful about it. Another fun trick is that of you order to go, your portion is smaller than if you eat in. what? They do occasionally have some great salads or sandwiches, but it's always expensive for what you get. And it always feels like you're part of some corporate marketing scheme. read more

First red alert came about when I called to check on the status of my order after the delivery did not arrive on time. The employee that took my call was not the friendliest but thats ok stupid me for calling to check on my order when door dash was now in charge of getting the delivery out- right!! However- guess what when it finally arrives I am missing the salad amongst other basic items that go along with a family entree! For 74 dollars- I really expected better service and yes Panera Bread did send my salad after Door Dash was re-dispatched!!
