Yesterday, while my wife and I were out running errands, we started looking for a place to grab lunch. I love trying new restaurants instead of the same old chain spots, and we happened to come across Café Zupas. Their sign said "Soup, Salad & Sandwich Kitchen," and since those are three of my favorite things, we decided to give it a try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was bright, clean, and very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menu boards had beautiful photos of the food, which definitely caught our attention.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only small complaint is that the menu doesn't include descriptions of what's on each sandwich or salad. Thankfully, the young lady behind the counter was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions. She even shared her two favorite menu items and explained them in detail. She recommended the Brisket Grilled Cheese with smoked brisket, provolone and Muenster cheese, sliced tomato, BBQ sauce, all served on ciabatta bread, along with the Chicken Chipotle Salad loaded with fresh mixed greens, roasted chicken, red onions, tomatoes, fire-roasted corn, black beans, tri-colored peppers, cheddar cheese, avocado, tortilla strips, chipotle ranch, and a honey cilantro glaze. Both sounded too good to pass up, so I ordered the "Try Two" combo, which includes a full sandwich and your choice of a half soup or half salad. Let me tell you... these are NOT normal half portions! My meal was enormous. As an added bonus, every meal came with a warm roll and a complimentary chocolate-dipped strawberry. I also grabbed a lemonade to wash everything down. The presentation was fantastic, and as a former chef, it takes a lot to impress me. But wow... I was genuinely surprised. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, with layers of flavor in every bite. The brisket grilled cheese was outstanding, and the Chicken Chipotle Salad was packed with fresh ingredients and had just the right amount of kick. The warm roll and chocolate-covered strawberry were such thoughtful finishing touches that made the experience feel even more special. My wife ordered the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich with the Tomato Bisque, and she loved every bite. Before we left, the manager mentioned that everything is made from scratch in their open-concept kitchen, which made perfect sense after tasting the food. It's not often we discover a restaurant that checks every box--friendly staff, fresh made-from-scratch food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere--but Café Zupas absolutely did. We may have just found our new favorite lunch spot, and I can honestly say I'll be back again and again. Highly recommended! read more

Few nights and I was a little under the weather therefore, it decided I would like to have something comforting, therefore Café Zupas was in order! Chose grilled cheese ( which was like no grilled cheese I've ever had ) turned out to be superb, and the lobster bisque which had tons of big chunks of lobster in the bottom. Yum Yum Yum!!! Stopped here for lunch today. Never been here before so we had to study the menu for awhile. The lady that helped us was very knowledgeable. I got the Two Combo Sandwich & Soup deal while my husband got the Sandwhich and half Salad deal. My sandwich was the Turkey, Avacado Club and Tomato Bisque. My husband had the Brisket Grilled Cheese and Chipotle Salad. We were so surprised at how big my soup was and how big the half salad was. Wow, we got way more food than we expected. The ultimate grilled cheese is to die for. The pesto aioli sauce is so amazing. I appreciate the wide variety of soups and sandwiches that are available. Something I dislike is that I feel bombarded when I am trying to order. The staff tries to get me to order whatever is their newest soup or sandwich at the time, but I go in knowing what I want and always feel like I have to cut them off. They are always very pleasant, but I wish I wasn't offered those things every time I try to order. read more

There is also a brisket grilled cheese, so be careful to order the correct one. It was fine. Okay flatbread, decent brisket, though its flavor got overwhelmed by the pickle and slaw. I mean, it was an okay sandwich, but I would not get it again. The lobster bisque was very good. Not the best ever, but pretty good, creamy and tasty, and with big chunks of lobster. They give you bread to dip in the soup, and there are oyster crackers out by thepop machine. I also had the chicken curry, which was also very good. Lots of chicken, potatoes, carrots, etc. A teeny bit of heat. Flavorful all around. Price was reasonable for what I got. The service was excellent. So maybe they do deserve four stars. Thanks for the acknowledgement. Last week we put in our normal carryout order to be picked up in the drive-through. Everything was very FAST. I got a text saying my order was READY FOR PICKUP at 4:35pm. At 4:40pm I arrived at the restaurant and told that my order WAS NOT READY. And they had me pull into a side-parking-slot to WAIT for my order more than 6 minutes. Behind 2 OTHER people ALREADY waiting. When the food finally came out it was MISSING ITEMS including NO BREAD AND NO BUTTER and NO DRESSING on the salad. This is completely unacceptable. read more

So I'm a diabetic and have problems keeping my sugar down this restaurant is one of my go to places to assist me with this. The cauliflower Wisconsin cheddar soup and the salads help me control my sugar levels. However, they are delicious to boot. The customer service is top notch. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. Now the downside, I do not quite care for the chicken, but they are quickly to replace it with another protein, such as hard boiled eggs or bacon, so they are very accommodating to my taste The bonus You get a free roll and chocolate covered strawberry with any food purchase. These are great pluses and also delicious. They were extremely busy. It's definitely not a place to go if you want sort of a quiet place to chit chat and relax while you eat. The ordering process was extremely rushed. Maybe some fault of the employees. Please know that not everyone who walks in has been there before and knows the drill. I'd never been before and I wasn't sure of the process. The food was decent. The only complaint I have of the food is the soup was served barely warm. And it didn't come with the crunchy onions. I was looking forward to that. The Italian Club was very good. The bread was fresh and soft. And the Italian spread was bursting with flavor and really made the sandwich. I'd probably come back at some point. Today was the first time we said to each other "last time" , the last 5 or so visits we noticed a very loud approach to upgrade this or pay more to add this. Today we were hit with the same BS and then watched them make our dreadful salads with THE most minimal toppings, scooping 2 servings of chicken with a tablespoon and only 1 wrinkled avocado slice. We get to the register and you just stand there forever, each time it's like they have never figured out how to enter a sale transaction.
