A Panera is a Panera...at least that's what I used to say. Panera in 2025 seems to be hit or miss depending on the location and the day. Based on other reviews, I happened to catch this location on a decent day. I had a sit-down meal here earlier this year - I was on vacation and wanted a quick bite, but also didn't want a fast food meal that came with a side of fries. Say what you want about Panera but they do make it easy to order something that's heavy on the veggies. My food (a you-pick-two with soup and a Mediterranean Veggie sandwich, plus macaroons and a drink) was prepped quickly and I was able to get a table by a window. The place overall was clean and inviting, and everything seemed to be in stock. I had finished my meal and was back on the road within 30 minutes. (I'll note that I visited on a Monday afternoon - I have no idea if that's related to why my experience was decent.) I'm not a local but since my visit went smoothly, I'd be open to stopping by again when traveling in the future. read more

Wow... Was disappointed in both the food and service. I haven't been to a Panera in several years, and based on my recent trip would never go back. The food is mediocre, chicken on the salad was extremely salty, and the soup is no longer quality. The amount of Mac and cheese in the kids meal isn't enough to fill a 1 year old - I had to get him more food. My salad came without the chicken, the kids meal came without the drink and I had to go back up several times. This location clearly lacked any sort of organization or standards. The lids for the cups were out and two people in our party had to go up and ask - never were any added to the self service drink area. The only positive thing about the experience was the person who helped rectify the missing chicken, missing milk, lids, and the soup I ordered but they realized they didn't have. read more

On 2/24-26, I visited the Warrensville Rd Panera at around 8:15 AM. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. For starters, they were already out of everything bagels. My order was in at 8:24. At 8:56, over 1/2 hour, my order along with others were still not ready. We asked the lady what is taking so long, she said they had a large order to fill. She copped an attitude when I asked why they did not inform us that it would take so long. If we knew this, we would have not placed our orders. It is a shame because it is such a large location, but if you are sensitive to sounds or slow service, go to a different location! I was waiting for a pick up order. I placed on my phone and it took probably 25 minutes (i've been here before, and it is always insanely slow to the point that I ended up leaving without my food). Meanwhile, the entire time there was a high-pitched sound constantly shrinking in the background. Even with my noise cancellation on my AirPods, I could still hear the high-pitched sound. So, if you like to visit Panera's to work, do not come here - even with noise canceling headphones, between the nails on a chalkboard of the high pitch sound, the service speed was just as nerve-racking and I am now physically tense and mentally beyond irritable. I wanted to use this location for stop over between meetings. I thought the Google reviews on the cleanliness were isolated and surely caught the place when busy. This was before 8 am. Out of many bagels (like half) due to large catering order before 8am. So rather than make more for the day, they chose to use the daily supply on a Friday on the pre- placed order. Really a horrible experience. I ordered online to avoid dealing with the staff. I received a text message that my simple order was ready. I walked into chaos at the front desk. One rude clerk with no one backing her up. I had to search three different areas for my order and someone behind the counter gave me a dirty look and finally handed it to me. We came here about 10 minutes before they closed to get our dinner order to take back to our hotel room. The staff wasn't too friendly, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was closing time. I'm sure they were in a hurry to take our order and get us on our way. In general, the time this store takes in ensuring your order is correct and in great quality before delivery is non-existent. I've had issue after issue with this store and the only explanation from the manager was that it's the busiest store in the area as if to justify poor product. Buying from "the busiest store in the area" gets you rotten apples... literally. On January 10, 2019, I ordered food for delivery. In my order was a bowl of tomato soup, a grilled cheese sandwich and an apple. When I received my order the cheese was melted into the box as if the sandwich was microwaved and the apple was obviously molded on top. I expressed my displeasure to Panera corporate by phone and instant message with pictures of my meal. They in turn notified the store and, supposedly, the franchisee. I received an email from the manager apologizing for the quality of the food and a full refund of my money. I honestly wasn't expecting anything less but an explanation on how in the world the food would make it out the store to my desk in that state would have been nice. The issue has remained unaddressed. In the past 9 months this cafe has ruined in some way, shape or form 3 of my 5 delivery orders. The first issue in April 2018 was the absence of chicken on my salad with chicken that I ordered. I called the store and was told that my name would be put in the book for a credit. The second order in August 2018 they failed to provide the dressing for my salad. This may be considered minor but there's a trend going on here. I called and spoke to the manager Christiaan Beatty who comped me with another store credit and a cookie. Ok. I'll give them one more shot. The third and last straw is the current issue with the apple and grilled cheese sandwich. Further store credit would not do these problems any justice. There is obviously an issue of quality control at this store that's been dismissed on the grounds that it's busy. I love Panera Bread but this location is just ok. Their Chicken Caesar salads are my favorite however the portions are equal at every location. I had a half salad at another location that was the same size as my whole salad from this location. Also while the cashier was extremely nice, the young lady who prepared my salad basically tossed my extra Caesar dressing at me.
