I came here today to get a drink from the unlimited sip club I signed up for. I was thrilled to find out that they have almond milk sitting out for the iced coffee (or hot coffee/tea). I hate having to spend the extra money just because I cannot handle drinking cows milk. I cannot wait to come back for another drink.

My review is totally about the catering. I've been ordering bagel packs and coffee totes from Panera, Waterfront location, for about 9 years a few times a year. Every single time the service is outstanding. Be it through a phone order or online, everything is always on point. With delivery they come in and set up everything as well. A really great help for what is typically a hectic morning at work. Today I ordered late...I needed three coffee totes and four bagel packs in an hour. I hesitated even ordering because I felt like they may not be able to fill the order with the short notice. There wasn't even a hesitation when I phoned in the order at 6:15 AM. I always get a follow up phone call to check to see if service and quality of order was up to par. Nice touch! If you need catering bagels, coffee, etc definitely use this location. I will continue!!

It has been several months since I visited Panera Bread. It is a bakery cafe chain with free WiFi. Prices are reality the same although from time to time they change their seasonal offerings. Food is fair. You order and you are given a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. They use real dishes and silverware. The menu gives you a calorie count of each item you are purchasing. One of the popular feature items is you pick two where you can have half a sandwich or salad or soup in a pair of two of those items. You also get with it a choice of an apple or roll and you can add a dessert for $1.00 I was disappointed to learn they had removed the French onion soup from the menu. I asked about this removal only to learn there was something wrong with one of the ingredients. The other disappointment was that this year they are not making gingerbread men which are one of my favorite holiday treats. Instead they are offering a holiday themed sugar cookie. I normally eat here when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to sit down at a regular restaurant. They do use fresh breads and they do cater. You can also order your holiday baked goods or breads for your parties.

From the moment we walked in, I loved the ambience. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming and made us feel right at home. During our visit, I learned that it is a family owned restaurant, which made me appreciate it even more. They also have a sports bar right next door, which I thought was a nice addition. The food did not disappoint. I even had to ask if the family was from Italy because everything tasted so authentic. They told me they were not, but honestly I never would have guessed! The pizza was amazing. I am a huge fan of brick oven style pizza and this definitely hit the spot. The pasta was incredible, the steak was cooked exactly how I ordered it, and the wine paired perfectly with the meal. One of my good friends and I came here together, and I am so happy we decided to try it. It turned into one of those meals you keep thinking about long after you leave. Every time I am back in Pittsburgh, this will absolutely be one of the restaurants I make a point to visit. Thank you for such a memorable experience.

On my last visit, we had a brick oven pizza which was really good. We went with the Margherita and the flavor popped. All of the ingredients were fresh and the pizza was cooked to perfection. A lot of times brick oven pies can come out rubbery and chewy. Not the case here. On another visit we had the charucterie board & it was filled with great cheeses, jams, crackers, and dipping sauces. The steak sandwich as well as the caprese sandwich are some pretty stellar options. The steak sandwich has a really flavorful and unexpected corn pico. Here for it. Caprese in any form is a plus for me. I like that the sandwich includes red onion and a really tasty sun-dried tomato pesto. Venture over to Homestead for this spot. You'll be happy you did.

The prices are all extremely fair, portions are great, the food is fresh, and it just really hits the spot. I got to try the red bean stew meal with salad and brown rice, as well as the ferrini pudding for dessert. Everything was great. The red bean stew was heart and well seasoned. Nice amount of stew and beans. Great packaging too. The brown rice was well made, too, and a great side to this stew. They also included a lovely little side salad to go alongside this meal. It had a lot of cucumber, but also some lettuce and other items. I loved the slightly acid but chunky dressing. The ferrini was such a pleasant surprise. I've only had this once before at a different place and it was disappointing. Not here. This ferrini was creamy, flavorful, milky, smooth, and had the perfect balance of sweetness. Loved it, and a reasonable price too. All in all, I would definitely recommend this spot. The food is so fresh and tastes homemade. Try the bean stew and ferrini!

They offer six different bases, which can each be served with white rice or brown rice. Each dish comes with a small side salad (with chatni/dressing), and a Persian style custard dessert (ferrini/ferni). The salad was well done and made for a nice accent. The ferrini was almost certainly something that some care had been put into getting right. It was well balanced, flavorful, and well portioned. The actual stew components seemed to be lacking, but that might be a result of our focus on the vegetarian options. We ordered the red beans and the vegetable medley, and both were reasonably well seasoned but lacking in any real character. The red beans stood on their own and worked reasonably well with a side of rice. The vegetable medley seemed like it started its life as a bag of frozen vegetables. Neither was bad, but they also weren't worth seeking out. Perhaps the meat-based options are much better crafted, and my experience is entirely a result of the particular items I ordered. Perhaps not. Either way, I would very much prefer to find a restaurant that is able to create vegetarian options that are just as well executed as their meat-based options.

Our fave foodie neighbor recommended this over highly-rated Med Table (still haven't tried that place yet, so our verdict is out!). Overall, our meal was really good (not great). Appetizers: hummus & baba gannouj were tasty. We opted for their "regular" size which has given us plenty of leftovers! (Other options: small & large). Hummus was the fave; I've definitely had more flavorful baba. We opted to toast all the mounds of huge pita that came with the meal, though. We're not fans of cold, "raw" pita with dips. Entrees: I got the Genie's combo plate - a couple of interestingly spiced , though somewhat dry chicken thighs (spice called "mishwi" - seemed almost like a Berbere-type seasoning w/ cinnamon in the profile) on a bed of basmati & a helping of tasty, crunchy pickled turnips & Lebanese salata (like Mediterranean pico de gallo). The standout item on this place - far and away - was the roasted, spiced cauliflower. I would have that ALONE - no chicken. I liked the dish, overall, but it didn't knock my socks off. I would look for solo-cauliflower next time. Hubs got the Shish Tawook rolled pita - he really enjoyed the grilled chicken with pickled turnip and excellent homemade garlic sauce. He said he'd def reorder. Top tip - get that garlic sauce (if u like garlic). It's AMAZING. No dessert for us, though what an impressive list they have! We'll definitely return to try some other options.

First and foremost I want to say that this review has nothing to do with the service or any of the staff. The woman running the front counter was extremely friendly and attentive, and made sure my food came fast. The unfortunate part is that one of my sandwiches was inedible. The Mr. orange was really tasty. Peri peri sauces are some of my favorite and I'm always chasing that high of a cheeky Nandos (iykyk) I do think the heat was a little more than I expected but there are options to customize to cut the heat. The problem was the coveted French onion soup burger. Holy sodium. Without even dipping into the side car of jus it was like eating a salt lick. It's got a nice location on the central road in Squirrel Hill, but it's a bit hard to find parking. When I got there, I got to try their shish tawouk (chicken kabob), mujadara, salad with feta, and iced mint tea. The tea was pretty alright. Refreshing and a nice mint flavor; I think they might make the blend in house. They also brought out some nice pita before we started the meal. For my main course, I ordered the shish tawouk. You usually get this meal with the rice pilaf, but they were out, so I got to try the mujadara. I'm actually quite glad! The chicken was tender, and the portion was very fair. They served it with a nice tomato sauce, but I also asked for some garlic sauce on the side. The sauces both seem to be homemade, and definitely go well with the chicken. The mujadara was surprisingly delicious. They top the dish with crispy sweet onions. It's a mix of lentils and some other grain. Very good! One thing to mention generally is this place closes quite early, usually around 8 or 8:30 PM, so do keep it in mind. It is also very clearly a family endeavor, with the mom managing most of the tables and the kids always helping out. Very nice place!
