    Potato bacon soup
    Allie K.

It's was just Ok. Had the curry chicken wrap..... fell apart, chicken was tough.... Potato bacon soup was too thick and just alright. Nothing special in my opinion.

Pangea has a menu that I can eat everyday. However, I already had dinner when I passed through here but I couldn't resist trying the kabocha pumpkin soup. I've never heard of such a thing. The soup almost eats like mash potatoes and I see quinoa and onion in it. It was delicious and very inspiring for my own recipe development. I literally can eat this menu everyday! Casual. Inside seating. Main Street location so parking is via street. Service was fast. Please come and create your own adventure.

Did a DoorDash order for Pangea to get lunch to-go before embarking on a long car drive. While looking in the app, one of the wraps- Tangled up in Blue- was not showing up in the app. After a quick phone call with the restaurant, one of the servers was equally as stumped about why it didn't show up. She quickly came up with a great solution that I would order a different wrap that had the same price and make a note in the comments and she would take care of it. Lo and behold I was able to get my Tangled up in Blue after all! It was very nice of them to go the extra mile to help get that sorted For the record- the Ranch Blues (and the sandwiches in general) are better than the wraps in my own opinion but as far as how clean I could be in the car, the wrap was the far better choice. Pangea still reigns as the standard lunch venue in Ashland

We dropped in for a quick bite, before our play, and found Pangea on Main Street is a real gem! We greatly enjoyed the German Potato Soup with Bacon ($7.50/cup), the classic Split Pea Soup ($7.50/cup), and two very generous and delicious wraps, the Teriyaki Chicken ($14.99) and the Grill from Ipanema, with Chicken ($14.99). The folks behind the counter were friendly, fast, and packed plenty of napkins for our to-go order (Thank You, Orion!). The restaurant is small and quirky, in the best of ways, and the uni-sex restroom was clean. The food is the real Star of Pangea, and I am looking forward to returning tomorrow. Five Well-Deserved Stars. // Oh, and be aware that the City of Ashland adds a 5% Food and Beverage Tax to your ticket.

A friend of mine insisted that I come here. We had just left SOU and needed a casual, relaxing lunch! Great little place to come to. The lentil soup was delicious! The French Kiss panini was good, a little more brie would've been great cause it's my favorite. I loved the ginger lemonade! So refreshing! The staff is friendly and chill and made the whole experience very zen. Definitely worth coming to for a quick meal!

The young lady that took our order was so pleasant. The wraps we had were tasty down to the last bite! This is not a sit down and get served restaurant, you place your order at the register. It is a fairly small place, but definitely worth a visit.

The best little sandwich shop on Main and it is open on Mondays! I was starving and needed to find a quick bite. Happened upon this unassuming gem which was open and serving both take out and in house dining. The menu was posted out front. I BnB ordered the "I'll have what she's having". Totally yummy panini. Chicken and veggies served on the most delicious panini roll. Toasted just to perfection. I also added chips and water. Now we're talking' Everything was delivered quickly and nice and hot. I highly recommend this special spot on main.

Only stopped in to get some soup. They claim their soups of the day are on their Facebook page. But it wasnt for today (10/27). So, had to visit in person. They were offering 4 soups. I went with the German potato and bacon. This is a cream based soup, like a tradition potato soup. It was pretty good. It could have been a little bit thicker, but it was not really runny. The flavor was good. A lot of small pieces of bacon and a lot of taters. The only disappointment is the price point. $7.50 for a cup. That's a little extreme. But I get it. Touristy town. "inflation". The young lady taking orders was pleasant. They were going through some computer issues but she tried to stay positive.

We really enjoyed our panini and salad when we were there last week. Next time I'm going to try a wrap, as they looked great too!

Pangea is good, but overpriced especially for the amount of food, crammed and poor customer service.

They are melt-in-your-mouth delicious and looked like little polished celestial planets packed in a precious box of 9! This "hidden gem" (pardon the cliché) opened last year by Razia Hayden (owner & chef) and often has live music being played on the enclosed patio. She serves unique savory dishes, inventive desserts and beverages based on her knowledge of global seasonings, rooted in Mediterranean flavors. Most everything is gluten-free, locally sourced and made with spices originating from India, Indonesia, North Africa and the Middle East. I feel a certain kinship with Razia, since her dishes combine spices and flavors that aren't pulled from a cookbook or 3rd party recipe, but purely from her own creative chops, travels and heart. Before diving into her handcrafted chocolate bonbons filled with various creams and ganache (fair trade cacao BTW), I first enjoyed their French toast to prime my sweet-tooth. It comes with three slices of their house-made bread, soaked in an orange blossom custard, finished with a dollop of saffron whipped cream. Other menu items include: Lamb Pilaf with Saffron Rice, Turkish Eggs, Harissa Chicken Crunch, and a unique cardamom-spiced coffee to mention a few. I'll be back to try more! Truth...

We ordered the kebab sandwich and French toast. In total, this ended up being 5 slices of identical fried bread, accented differently. The French toast was not traditionally battered before preparation, so a bit of false advertising if you are expecting a fluffy exterior. It came with several clashing flavors of orange, mango, cardamom, and saffron. Not much subtlety and a little bit of flavor confusion. The kebab sandwich didn't match the menu, which described sliced beef, goat cheese, tamarind, and yogurt. It was rather a heavily cardamom spiced hamburger patty with salad, picked onions, and a light sauce. With missing internal components and no sides, not worth $20. The drinks were also a bit confused, with the aftertaste becoming cloying from too many competing spices and floral elements. While spice is the flavor of life, I'm not sure a spice-forward restaurant is my cup of tea. Perhaps spices should be used more as an accent than a staple.

The bacon comes crisp, the pancakes fluffy, the omelettes delicate, and the hash browns seared beautifully. Beyond that, they push their menu to incorporate delicious, more elevated ingredients. The smoked bacon omelette is a banger. If you like the carmelized flavor of French onion soup, you'll love this! So rich and deep with umami flavor, melding with diced bacon and fontina cheese. The Belgian waffle is also intense with bits of walnut and bacon baked in, which collides beautifully with hot maple syrup. So delicious! Lastly, I like to champion breakfast spots that have the courage to deliver expertly done hash browns. Breadboard doesn't even try, with the usual "home fries" cop-out (that nobody loves but will tolerate). Brothers serves hash browns, but they're usually soggy and falling apart. Not the case here. You get a nice, flat, crisp, rigid slab of hashbrowns, ready to accompany your main. Overall this is my number one spot for an Ashland breakfast. Definitely worth the small drive from downtown.

The ambiance alone is great for spending time with your bookstore purchases. The service was friendly and quick. It was just the one guy when we were there, making coffees and running into the kitchen to make food. But it didn't take long to get our order. The kids had a steamer and a hot cocoa. They were a little warm for immediate drinking so maybe specify if you want your beverage less than normal hot for kids. The cocoa also had a bit of a cinnamon flavor to it. I thought it was delicious, but if you have a purist cocoa drinker in your party, again, ask! The adults drank drip coffee. It was tasty too! If you are staying in, you will get a ceramic mug, so if you want a paper cup let your barista know. The big win for me was the menu of gluten free pastries! They had regular glutinous things like burritos and quiche that looked tasty but the gluten free!!!! They partner with a bakery in town (sisters sans gluten) to have a variety of offerings. I had a poppyseed muffin, but they had other breads and muffins that all looked good. The offerings change, but I was so excited to see gf options at all. Highly recommend this spot! Also!!! I have so many great memories of this place during the 12 years that my husband and I have lived here. I remember driving into Ashland in the middle of a snowstorm because I had an appointment with my yoga teacher and I do NOT cancel on her. After we finished yoga, I decided to pop in to Dobra tea and get a hot mushroom latte. I sat at one of the tables in the front room looking out at the snow falling. Almost no one was out and it was like being in the middle of a snow globe with a warm cup in my hand. Another time I was there with a friend for lunch. He ordered their avocado toast with egg, which I had never ordered before. He insisted I take a bite, which I graciously agreed to do. The flavors were so exquisite that it immediately became one of my many favorite things to order at Dobra. I learned they make their own English muffins, which is the "toast". Wow!!!!!!
