That amount was for sedation (sleeping )but my son was not full asleep and he cried after the surgery . The doctor was worry if my son was fine or not. After couple days, I wanted to call the office to reduce the amount they charged but I thought it was hard to get back my money! 8 months later, they bill another amount of $124.8! I am writing this to warn others about my experience with Dr. Pannu. In 2009, he recommended a molar extraction as part of my Invisalign plan. Following the procedure, I developed chronic facial nerve pain. After years of searching for answers, an MRI and a Maxillofacial Surgeon at Kaiser confirmed that the extraction caused my TMJ. My jaw was held open too wide for too long, causing a permanent disc displacement that cannot be fixed. To then receive a marketing text from his office 17 years later regarding "outstanding treatment" was insulting. I found Pannu Dental Group one night while I was exercising my brain with a word-solving game. I was thinking really hard and an ad popped up. I had been wanting to get a bone graft and dental implant for awhile. But, over and over again, nothing I reviewed seemed right, until that ad. I really liked the personal touch of the ad with Dr. Pannu speaking himself. I also was very impressed with Yomi, the robot who performs the surgery. I just had to make an appointment! I made an appointment for a consultation. The office complex has a serene feeling with plenty of parking. The office is clean, organized, and modern. The staff were professional and courteous. I actually met with another doctor, but I wanted Dr. Pannu's opinion as well. He came by to assess the situation and we agreed on the best option to move forward. He quoted a price, and it was reasonable, with my limited knowledge. We scheduled a day for the procedure. The day of the procedure quickly arrived. However, since I'm never nervous, I was so surprised I had a claustrophobia issue, due to the equipment and my mouth being a little smaller. I felt bad, but Dr. Pannu listened to me, and we talked about what could work. It was inconvenient for them, and it took more time, but he was comforting and gracious. We got the procedure done! Yomi, my robot friend, did the procedure, and I was never happier and more confidant in my outcome. I have gone for a follow-up and a cleaning since then, and all is still going well! =) Their hygienist is top notch and amazing! I have a current dentist, but their hygienist is poor, so I decided to cash pay in hopes of a good cleaning. Azita was likely the best I've ever had and at a reasonable price. I'm so happy to have found Pannu Dental. I have HMO insurance, but I will likely just cash pay and get all my services done through Pannu Dental Group, because I have high expectations, and they were exceeded! This is without a doubt the most professional dental office I have been to. You can book appointments by calling in. The front desk ladies are very nice and they give you reminder calls/texts/emails as well before your appointment. They have COVID protocol to follow prior to your appointment and take your temperature when coming into the office, so I definitely feel safe when coming for my appointment. I've met with a couple different of the dentists here, it seems they have multiple different ones that come into this office a few times a month who rotate throughout the other Pannu Dental office locations. I've been to other dentists in the past that have made me wait long past my appointment time slot but never here, they almost always seat me on time and upon my arrival. I've met with Dr. Phan who did my wisdom teeth removal. He comes in the first Thursday of every month so I had my removal exactly one month after my consultation with him. He is very thorough about explaining options and possible scenarios. Being an adult, my wisdom teeth removal was tricky because of the way it's grown in over the years. Dr. Phan was very cautious during my removal and my recovery process was smooth with no real pain, only discomfort which is normal. I would describe Dr. Phan as very careful and extremely detail oriented. I've also met with Dr. Sharma who I believe is one of their general dentists and he has a very upbeat and friendly personality! He is also very careful, and I appreciate that he tries to explain to me what he's doing whenever he can. You could go to him for cleanings, fillings, root canals, veneers, and so on. I've gone to him for a handful of things and he has been nothing but amazing and easy to work with! I would describe Dr. Sharma as a perfectionist, which is the absolute top quality I would look for in a dentist as it truly shows how much pride he puts into his job. All of the dental assistants here are super nice and friendly which is pretty much the icing on the cake for me! I like coming here because everyone on the staff incredibly sweet and all the dentists are conveniently specialized in different things. Safe to say I'll never go to another dental office! read more

Avoid these people. They are dishonest. Pannu dental claims to accept MetLife HMO dental plans, but when my mother-in-law went there, they gave her teeth cleaning and a treatment plan to have some work done. The written dental plan did not show any insurance discount and when I called, they said they didn't take her insurance after all. But they still submitted the claim for the dental cleaning. And according to the Metlife website they are still listed as an in-network provider. The way a dental HMO works is that the insurer sets a maximum price that the dental office can charge for a given procedure. In return, the dental office gets the business of the insured clients. But Pannu didn't limit their prices in the treatment plan to the maximum. They charged more. One is tempted to think these people are only affiliated with this insurer to get people in the door. But when it comes time to actually honor the maximum charges, suddenly they "don't take that insurance". read more

During my root canals treatment they put suction pump in mouth that got dislocated and instead sucking saliva in mouth it got pushed to inner throat area and hurt soft palate and uvula. PLEASE READ. This dental group will try to scam you. I went in for a routine cleaning, and they insisted that I needed to pay over $400 for a deep cleaning instead of receiving a regular cleaning that would have been covered by my insurance. They also told me I had cavities and tooth decay, and that I would need to see a specialist for my receding gums. Since I remembered my sister telling me a similar story (at Pannu Dental Group) where they declined her a regular cleaning and insisted she pay for the deep cleaning, I walked out. The same thing also happened to her 2 year old daughter. This is 3 separate cases where they insisted the patients needed deep cleanings. I decided to pay out of pocket to go to my old dentist (who I trust). I asked about the tooth decay, receding gum lines, and cavities. My dentist told me none of those issues were present. I'm so glad that I walked out of this place and didn't let them charge me to repair issues that didn't exist. read more

Beware. I did not believe the reviews, but the up-selling happened to me too! It's my first visit at Pannu. I have read the reviews but don't quite believe some of the negative reviews. My appointment is for checkup and dental cleaning. First the x-rays then a 5-minute look at my teeth by the Dr. then right away the up-selling starts. Deep-cleaning is required, wisdom teeth need to be removed, need multiple new crows, need to apply sealant to all teeth .... The Dr. says that Pannu has all the specialists in-house to do the work. Just sign here. I could not believe the same up-selling I had read about was happening to me. Long story short, I got a second opinion from another Dentist. First off I want to start off by saying that this dental group has been by far the cleanest and most professional office I have been to. Unlike my old dentist who had floor to ceiling windows at each chair making it seem like we were some type of circus attraction "hey everyone! Come and look at me while I get my teeth drilled out" the Pannu office has modern work areas with NO windows thank god. All the staff from the moment you walk in is super welcoming and they are on top of all sanitation amongst this pandemic! I would almost say that they can write the hand book for all offices on how to properly clean their equipment. My favorite thing about the office is that they actually provide sunglasses to wear while you get your teeth worked on. It's hard enough having to open wide but also having a spot light shining right at your retinas during the whole appointment is never fun. Friendly dentist with a gentle touch. On the advice of a friend I brought my mother here, her wisdom tooth was hurting & wobbly, she was visiting from India and didn't have dental insurance. The cash price was quite reasonable for x-ray and dental exam, and would be credited towards any procedure. Dr.Dehri examined my mother, and couple days antibiotics later extracted the wobbly wisdom tooth, in a really gentle way and my mother was pain free & happy! One dentist, hopping between three customers/chairs, so just had to wait... would appreciate a better service instead of squeezing extra people in... 2. Lack of information regarding procedures. I have been coming to Pannu dental for over 10 years. However yesterday I had the worst experience ever. Customer service has gone down. They no longer care about their patients. My daughter was to have her wisdom teeth pulled. I had to call to get a quote and instructions. Then I was told insurance would not cover anything by Diamond. Why would insurance not cover a portion? When I got to the office someone told us they would be back on in a few to check is in. She never came back. Diamond showed up 30 minutes later. Rude and did not have any customer service skills. I miss the good old days with Mayra. I know it is hard to find good help these days but Dr. Pannu if we travel two hours because we are loyal we deserve better. read more
