I used to be a regular customer for many years, but recently I've noticed fewer and fewer options available. During my last visit, I asked about several items from the menu, and the employee wearing sunglasses inside the store just kept smiling and saying, "No, we don't have that," and "Unfortunately, we don't have that either." The customer in front of me even joked, "Well, you don't have anything!" I then asked if they had a cappuccino, and once again the answer was no. At that point, I left and went to Amor em Pedaços instead. If you don't hire friendly and attentive staff, pay employees fairly, keep your inventory stocked, and take care of your business, customers will go elsewhere. It's sad to see one of the first Brazilian bakeries reach this point. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements before it's too late. read more

What happened to one of our favorite places to eat in Orlando? We used to love coming here whenever we visited, but today's experience was extremely disappointing. The first surprise was that the restaurant was completely empty this afternoon. Given how hot it was outside--around 93°F with very high humidity, felt like 105°F, we were looking forward to cooling off indoors. Unfortunately, after we walked in, we quickly realized it felt almost as warm inside as it did outside. We decided to stay and place our order anyway. Things only got worse when we found out the air conditioning wasn't working. By the time our food arrived, we were sweating and very uncomfortable. The food quality was also far below what we've experienced here in the past. The brigadeiros were dry and didn't taste fresh. The empadinhas were cold and had an unusual taste. The pão de queijo was hard and cold as well. Even the juice was served without ice. At that point, we had had enough. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I'm leaving this review in the hope that management takes notice and addresses these issues. Something is clearly not right, and I sincerely hope this restaurant can get back to the quality it once had. We used to love coming here, but after today's experience, I'm not sure we'll be returning. read more

This spot claims to be the real deal when it comes to Brazilian bakeries, but there were a few letdowns. We came in to get the full experience. We were really looking forward to trying the pão de queijo hot and fresh, but it turned out to be cold. I had the X-Bacon; it was alright, but it tasted like it had been made ahead of time instead of when I ordered it. The Coxinha didn't seem fresh and was a bit underdone. Incredibly yummy - the baked goods are served to you warm at a good price and there is plenty of seating with AC. Each item was so flavorful and some are so buttery and flaky we had to get seconds. This is a Brazilian bakery. I was around the area and yelped a nearby bakery and this bakery popped up. It is located in a shopping plaza. Came around pass 5pm and it was empty and the selections were not as much. I chose based on yelp pictures and what looked delicious or interesting. The swirl dessert rolls with guava and caramel interestingly was delicious on the display shelves. They only had 1 left of the guava roll. I chose that along with 2 orders of the caramel roll, sugar flan and a bun with custard inside. The Brazilian flan was interesting. The grated coconut was on the base of the flan. It's not the best flan I have had. Would i order it again - possibly not. The custard bun bread was ok. It's pretty much bread sliced in half filled with custard. Again its ok I wouldn't order it again. The guava roll was delicious but to me its a simple sheet cake with guava paste and rolled. For the price I expected a thicker portion of the cake. The caramel roll same expectations as the guava roll cake. The only difference is the layers of this caramel version was thicker and less caramel filled than guava. Each of the desserts were kinda pricey costing $2 plus per piece. The service from the employees were nice and the bakery offers spanish soups and acai bowls which I heard is popular. They also offer coffee service. It was an experience trying out Brazilian baked goods. I pretty much prefer asian baked goods cause of quality and costs per piece. read more

Pao Gostoso has some of the most delicious food in Orlando. Their service is outstanding, and has a nice and welcoming ambiance. Lets start with the food. Super good, its a bakery so you bet it has bread thats stuffed with things. And if you come here, the drink Guarana is a MUST try! The service is great, its about a 5 minute wait for your food if you don't order lots. Ambiance was nice inside and outside. Went here on a quiet afternoon to grab a coffee for a long drive. Decided to try support a local authentic business instead of something like a big chain brand. Should have stuck to the big brand. The place smelled. Not like anything I can describe. It smelled unclean. I wrote it off when I stepped In and it only became more apparent going closer to the counter. It took forever to be served despite there being only one person in-front and behind in line and they weren't actually being served they were also waiting. I had noticed a single fly in the main glass case full of all the baked goods. No biggie. It happens. Looking at the selection they were clearly low towards the end of the day. We asked for a carrot cake which was in its own box in a separate case. Just as that happened the customer in front asks for something from the main case and the movement disturbs what must have been 30 or more flies in the case. Some of the small fruit flies some bigger. We changed our mind on the items from the big case got the already ordered items and left. Should have canceled the order. The coffee was horrible. Im not sure why basic cleanliness is a virtue in food establishments. I do not want flies crawling and defecting on my food. One would have been fine. The case is clearly infested and they haven't done anything. Will never be back. read more

The pastries here are so delicious! They have this thing called brigadeiro that can basically be eaten by itself or they put it on cake and etc ... the chocolate brigadeiro cake is a must! The best part is you can just buy a slice of it. There's also coxinha which is this crispy ball of dough stuffed with chicken. Personally love the one that has chicken and cheese! You will find it in the corner of the shopping center. Great service. The staff is very friendly. They have outside and indoor seating. I went there for their cashew fruit juice- and it did not disappoint. It was delicious. I also tried other items on the menu but weren't my favorite. The dulce de leche cookies were good. Like none other! Pao Gostoso reigns top in salgadinhos and Brazilian doces in Orlando! I have yet to come across another bakery, Brazilian nor American, that has cakes as delicious as theirs. My sister had her wedding cake commissioned from them and I plan on having mine from here as well! That is how much we love them and trust their services. Their other offerings are equally well crafted and delicious! I generally get their salgadinhos such as coxinha, pastel, kibe, etc. Pairing those with their natural fruit juices is a must! I used to order a cake there on and off for 8 years. It was stale and im pretty sure expired, I was very disappointed as it was more than double the price as the last time I ordered it. Had lunch and it was not the best and prices were 2-3 times more expensive, I know it's inflation but I never seen prices soar that much even at a nice restaurant. I have always came to get a fresh batch of Pao De Quejo my whole life from them and for some reason it seems like if I dont catch the owner who has known me since a child I can't get a cup of butter even if I wanted to purchase it for 30 Pao De Quejo's. Lets not mention how it's a pain for them to make the batch fresh for me because they always complain that they have some made. Definetly don't expect basically any butter no matter how many Pao De Quejos you get. This place is popular!!! There was a really long line with two cashiers quickly taking orders. After they take your order you are given a buzzer and asked to take a seat and wait. I had some difficulty choosing between so many delicious Brazilian delicacies. I finally settled on the chocolate carrot cake, a fruit cake and a cream filled donut. My favorite was the fruit cake. It is a new item for this bakery and they knocked it out of the park. I know that most people do not like fruit cakes but this one was filled with nuts, lightly sweetened and very moist. I enjoyed one of their mouse pastries. I'm sure there's a proper name for it but all I know is that it was delicious. They also make cakes of any kind if you need one to celebrate an occasion. My friend had Coxinha with chicken and Catupiry one of Brazil's popular street food. Also she had 2 amores which is delicious it's this mix of chocolate Brigadeiro and white brigadeiro together as one. It's so soft and delicious and I highly recommend it. They have a lot of things from Brasil like Brazilian bread toasted it's just so delicious. Also freshly squeezed orange juice to die for. We were 7 people, we ordered at the same time, 6 meals were delivered and mine was not. It was 25 minutes before they told me it wasn't ready! Finally, the bean broth was regular. I am always looking for a bakery when I'm out of town and we stumbled upon this little gem. Nice little Brazilian bakery. We got here late at night and there were people coming in ordering late night dessert! So this must be the place. I am so sorry but I really cannot remember all that we ordered except for this dessert called Dream where the center of the pasty is filled with caramel! We really enjoyed that one. We also ordered pigs in a blanket and I saved it for breakfast and it was just what I needed before Disney! Maybe next time I'll come in the morning because towards the end of the night, they didn't have much left. Phenomenal burgers! I'm not even sure you can call them burgers; it's more like an event! Thanks to my friends for introducing this Brazilian gem located in the touristy side of Orlando to me! I now have a favorite burger place in Orlando. I honestly think they should change the name of this place to PAO GASTOSO BURGERS (oh and by the way, we bake too no biggie!)OR BRAZILIAN BURGER DELICIOUSNESS IN YO MOUF! Okay, maybe those weren't the best ideas for a new name, but you catch my drift, right? Anyways, let me tell you about this monster I had the pleasure of devouring: It had a juicy piece of beef, tender grilled piece of chicken, roasted succulent sausage, mouthwatering ham, two strips of heavenly bacon, a fried egg, corn, tomatoes, lettuce wrapped between two sweet hamburger buns and topped with fried potato straws and then wrapped with foil so it doesn't escape. ALL OF THAT IN ONE PHENOMENAL BURGER! SERIOUSLY?!?! I have no idea how they fit all of those ingredients in there, and I'm not one to complain!
