    Chicken Francese- super del!

Super delicious chicken Francese. Lovely, clean place. Great service. My niece's pasta w red sauce looked amazing as well and she loved it.

I'm in North Carolina for a couple of days on business. The night before I leave to go home I'm feeling like Italian food. I search Yelp with the criteria for Italian food and close to my hotel. This restaurant pops up as above one mile from my hotel. It's located in a small strip mall, or maybe in North Carolina they call it a shopping center. Call it what you will so let's talk about the food. First, the setting is really nice, very Italian, with a little bit of Frank being played. As I look over the menu it's mostly basic Italian food, but I see linguine with garlic and oil I haven't had this in years, but I ask if they can add anchovies to it. The answer is yes. Ok let's talk about this. I like anchovies. I know many people say yuck to anchovies, but let me tell you something just in case you fall into that category. You actually like anchovies, you just don't know it yet. Ok the dish comes. Unfortunately in this bowl of linguine is two small anchovies. Garlic and oil was lacking. The dish was quite dry and lacked the flavor I think it should have. To boot there's a family in the booth behind me that are reading out loud every item in the menu. And finally to add insult to injury, for the two small pieces of anchovy, a $3 up charge. Could this be a supply chain issue. Sorry, three stars. One for the sweet waitress, one for the ambiance, and one for, well I don't know what the third star is for so take it as a going away gift from me.

    Lobster Ravioli

My partner brought me here for my birthday dinner. We were told we wouldn't need to make reservations when we called and even though they were packed we did not have to wait to be seated. I read several reviews before choosing this place and I feel a little misguided by them. Pros: 1: Prices are great and serving sizes are very generous 2: Service was excellent Cons: 1: I chose the wrong dish. I didn't hate it but I did not love it. I had the lobster ravioli. It was super rich and I guess I just like my lobster with butter. Personal preferences, but it seems pretty salty to me. 2: My partner got the Pork chops Milanese and he enjoyed the dish. I tasted it and didn't care for the bacon flavors and though that dish was also too salty. 3: chocolate cake was dry, tiramisu tasted watered down. Would I go back? Sure. I would be sure to try other items on the menu. Our experience was not awful, I just didn't love the food choices we made. When we do go back I'll be sure to come back and update the review.

    Margherita pizza

Ordered delivery here for the first time tonight and it was so good! We ordered the Margherita pizza and it was huge and worth the money. It tasted fresh and the crust was thin, as advertised. It seemed like it was full of quality ingredients and made fresh to order. There are a lot of "authentic pizza places" in the triangle but this is definitely one of the best. They also offer a large range of other Italian dishes, which I look forward to trying in the future. Will definitely be back again. Thank you for a great meal, Paolo's!

The food is where it loses me because of how expensive it is and how it just not good enough to justify the price. We went for our 5 year anniversary. We called ahead to have the whole duck. But it definitely not a whole duck. It definitely was a lovely experience but it a bit expensive and not every part of the duck like we thought. We got some appetizers. We ordered the wellness soup and the tea smoked fish fillet. Both were super yummy. We ordered this lobster dish which right away was too rubbery and overcooked after one bite. The wait staff was quick to suggest us to order something else after noticing we didn't love it. He took our lobster away and we went with the seafood Tom Yum. It was yummy but again not worth the price. I have had more flavorful options for a better price. We got the tea which was wonderful. It was nice how they kept it warm and kept refilling the hot water. We got some dessert which was yummy but nothing special. Again I think it was a good place but for the price it needs to be more consistent and have a better wow factor.

Going with bits of Indian, Italian, and Mexican cuisine with bar standbys like burgers and salads, there's something for about every taste preference. Casual but nicely decorated inside and service with a bit of a personal note to it, I had a good lunch visit here. The Deets: I went for a walk down Hatcher Creek Greenway and decided to duck into Morrisville Square for a bite to eat for lunch. I had seen Sips N Spices on my Yelp radar for the neighborhood so chose them for some eats. With the outside signs displaying "Grill, Taco, Pizza & Bar" it sounded like they had quite the variety. That variety shows through upon entering in, with the atmosphere and menu. The feel on the inside is cool and eclectic both, very relaxing and very casual but clean and well decorated (see pics). As far as the menu, they have a fusion of Indian, Italian, and Mexican going on but also burgers and salads if you are looking for more bar-like cuisine. They really do have a little bit of everything, even hookah and a full bar. The atmosphere was chill and relax with friends kind of vibe to me. In looking at all the possibilities on the wide variety offered on the menu, I went a bit out of my comfort zone in ordering the Butter Chicken Pasta dish (without the optional green chili). Note to tea drinkers, they only offer sweet tea I found when I tried to order unsweetened tea but I was good with a Diet Coke instead. The Butter Chicken Pasta was a perfect lunch portion served as a bowl. Even without the green chili option, it still had a bit of spice to it but enough to make it flavorful without being overwhelming (as you know, I'm not one for overly spicy foods). Even with the dish having more spice than expected (he said he would place the order in as mild), I enjoyed my lunch here as this pasta dish was anything but boring and lackluster, again flavorful comes to mind. I also liked that Nick here at Sip N Spices took the time to ask me how I knew about them and what brought me in, as well as him sharing that the dishes are inspired by his grandmother's recipes. Personal customer service is always a positive in my book and it was shown here. I look forward to trying other menu selections here, especially if I have an urge for a burger in the future. A good first visit here!

While the food is on the pricey end, the portion sizes make up for it and the quality is there. On my first visit, I tried their Tres Amigos dish. It is basically a mix grill with shrimp, steak and chicken. It came with rice, beans, and veggies. The meats were super flavorful and the rice and beans were actually great! I hate it when a Mexican place just dumps overcooked rice and goopy beans and calls it a day. The veggies were very clearly frozen and came from a bag, wasn't all that excited by that. I think arroz con pollo (ACP) is one of the simplest, yet, most delicious Mexican dishes. It is chicken, cheese and rice, how can you mess that up? Mamacita does their ACP justice. The chicken is tender, there is a nice balance between the cheese and rice, and it is just a great combination altogether. They also do a decent job with their birria tacos (although wasn't the biggest fan of the consume) and their churrasco plate. They even top it with a legit salad, not just the chopped lettuce and tomato. In the end, I am always full and satisfied with the meal. I certainly think this is worth a visit. Either way, it delivers exactly what you'd hope for--a great selection of drinks in a relaxed, social setting. The interior is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating whether you prefer pulling up to the bar or sinking into one of the comfortable sofas. Our tasting lineup included the refreshing Sangria Slushy, Anderson Valley's Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout, and Komana's Hefe the Hefeweizen. While enjoying our drinks, we spent some time hanging out with Aria, the Bouvier des Flandres, who was incredibly friendly and happily accepted all the attention.
