    Amazing focaccia for the table

There are so many great words to describe this restaurant. If I could only pick three, it would be WORTH EVERY BITE!! Pierro's exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and attentive service. The atmosphere was cozy, elegant, and perfect for a relaxing evening after birthday shopping . I ordered the Seafood Pierro's with just shrimp and substituted the linguine for their homemade tagliatelle. I also had the sun-dried tomatoes from my husband's dish added to mine, and they were the perfect complement! The pasta was fresh, tender, and cooked perfectly, while the plump shrimp were flavorful and prepared just right. My husband ordered the Chicken Francese, requested no mushrooms, and also substituted the homemade tagliatelle. His entrée was outstanding, with a delicate, flavorful sauce that paired beautifully with the fresh pasta & chicken. To top off the evening, they surprised me with a complimentary birthday zeppole that was warm, light, and absolutely delicious (w/caramel sauce) --a thoughtful touch that made the celebration even more special. And the tiramisu? Hands down the best I've ever had! I was surprised to learn it's brought in from a New Jersey bakery, but one bite and I understood why. It was creamy, perfectly balanced, and unforgettable. Every bite tasted authentic, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell the kitchen takes great pride in creating an exceptional dining experience. Between the incredible food, outstanding service, warm atmosphere, and special birthday surprise, Pierro's has earned a place on our favorites list. We can't wait to come back. Highly recommend! P.S. Ask for Little Mike's Table!! Great waiter, lots of knowledge and treats you like family. He won't steer you wrong.

The restaurant is beautiful. The service is subpar. The staff who waited on our table seemed overworked and overwhelmed. He was the only waiter on the floor. Pierro should hire additional staff. This was unacceptable. The wait time for our food was long. I enjoyed the kale Caesar salad and the oysters. The short ribs were heavily charred and flavorless. The pasta was a tad over cooked. Overall, the waiter worked very hard to get the food out in a reasonable time, but I think both himself and the kitchen were stretched. I appreciate the apology for the wait.

I was excited to try Pierro's however my excitement changed as the visit went on. Pierro's is located downtown Raleigh. I was able to find street parking near the busienss. The restaurant had nice decor, a bar, and several tables to dine in. When I arrived another patron was waiting to be seated. Eventually the server came & sat her at a table and then went to take orders from a table. When he noticed that I was still standing there he came & seated me directly next to the previous patron. The tables are very close to one another and there was plenty of room to seat us in another table with a little more privacy & space since the restaurant wasn't packed. The server came over and took our drink orders later. We then placed our food orders and then a while later, the server said that he didn't know what happened & our appetizers did not get put in. A while later, my fried ravioli was brought out. It was served hot with marinara sauce. I asked for a box for the remainer of my ravioli and he only put the ravioli in my box. I asked for a side of marinara & he brought it out. We decided on the braised ribs for our entree. My meal came with asparagus & risotto. Our ribs were tender inside but scorched outside and they were bland. The asparagus wasn't bad. The risotto was ok. I've definitely had better. Our service was very slow throughout our visit. There was only one server working the entire restaurant. He was not friendly or personable and very direct. Many times that we asked our server a question or for something he seemed to have an attitude. I understand that working the floor by yourself can be overwhelming but the restaurant was not packed and we as paying customers deserve to be treated with basic kindness.

Another amazing meal at Pierro's We always start with the Pizza Speziata. So good. A bit spicy and a bit of sweet. Wow so tasty with the ricotta on top. Then take a few slices home for a lunch snack. Service is fantastic. We love the vibe of Pierro's. We have tried several Italian restaurants including nearby "prime" Italian restaurants on Glenwood that need to buy the top search. Pierro's is our fav.

You step inside and it feels like the city itself decided to dress up for dinner--sleek, a little dramatic, but still warm enough to linger. The ceilings stretch high above you like they've got somewhere important to be, while enormous windows pull in the outside world--streetlights, passing headlights, silhouettes of strangers--and turn them into part of the décor. Everything hums with intention. The lighting is low but not sleepy, casting a golden glow that makes glasses sparkle and plates look like art. There's a gentle echo from the high ceilings, softened by conversation and the clink of silverware, giving the room a kind of urban symphony. It's modern, yes--but not cold. It's the kind of place where you half-expect your pasta to come with a story, and your wine to have opinions. First the Ravioli Fritte-imagine a golden little parcel that's just taken a hot bath in oil, crisped to perfection, and ready to surprise you. Bite through the delicate, crunchy shell and--boom--a warm, creamy cheese center oozes out like it's got a mind of its own, rich and dreamy, hugging your taste buds in a buttery embrace. And then there's a short rib so tender it practically sends you a love note with every bite--slow-cooked for six glorious hours, it practically melts on your tongue, leaving a savory, slightly sweet hug of sauce behind. Nestled beside a creamy risotto that whispers "comfort" and screams cheddar and char-kissed asparagus that adds just the right bite, this dish is a drama-free hero: luxurious, unpretentious, and impossible to forget. It's the kind of place where the city hums outside the windows, the ceilings soar above, and the menu makes you want to linger, laugh, and savor every bite. Cheers!

My fiance and I came here to get some tasty bites for our Italian craving. The vibes were very moody and dim. For appetizer, we got the Fritto Misto which was delicious! You can never go wrong with fried seafood. For entree, I got the Pesto Gnocchi. It was soupier than I thought it would be but the sauce was definitely good. I wish the gnocchi was not as soft to counter the nature of the sauce. Overall, this place wasn't bad but it doesn't make me want to go again since nothing was spectacular like I was hoping for.

Mike (aka Lil Mike) made the overall experience enjoyable. Would I go back, maybe. Food: The braised short ribs were cooked to perfection, but the risotto was just ok. The caprese salad was good and I loved the presentation. The garlic knots were a little hard. Wine/Cocktails: Nice wine selection and cocktails. A little surprised the wine tasting was served in a shot glass. It took a long time for my wine to arrive. Service: Our server Mike was the best. Well versed in the menu and he was very high energy. We also met the owner who was also helpful. This space is good for a dinner for two, girls nights, or a rehearsal dinner (I did not see a private room) but the space is large enough to accommodate large parties.

LOOOOVE this place!! Came here on a Saturday around 3PM and sat outside (it was such a beautiful day out!). Our server was really helpful with the menu, quick, and so friendly. We ended up ordering the Fritto Misto appetizer, which was so beautifully prepared and tasted even better. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I typically stay away from fried food, but this was so crisp and light, we were delighted. And the garlic knots!! Those are so delicious, we went through those so quick. For the main course, we ordered the lasagna and chicken fettuccine alfredo - both were so tasty! The food just tastes so fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the serving sizes are great. I also just want to note that you really cannot beat the prices here! My lunch chicken fettuccine was $13, which is basically unheard of nowadays for a fine dining restaurant. Fun fact to close off on: I actually went to the original Fayetteville location for my dinner before prom yearssss ago (2016!), and it was so lovely! I'm just so happy that this restaurant is doing great and has opened a location in Raleigh, so even more people can experience how wonderful it is.

Ambiance was amazing, super cute place and loved the lighting. The appetizers were better than the main course in my opinion. I really enjoyed the seafood platter and the sauce was amazing. I got the bistecca de Roma and it was good I enjoyed it, solid 8/10. Service was decent out waitress gave one dish about 8 minutes earlier than the other dish which was frustrating. Also it took about 15 minutes after we finished our food to get the check

It was my first time trying Pierro's and I went during Restaurant week. We were really impressed with the quantity of the food. The portions were more than enough for two people with leftovers. My favorite was the Braised Short Rib. The short Rib was really tender and full of flavor. I'd definitively get it again. My friend has a food allergy so our server made sure to ask about while ordering and recommended items that she could have. To drink I got a dirty martini, which was made just as I asked. Definitely going back again!

Must go!! Parking down town but place well worth the few dollars you pay to park!! The rolls alone to all of my fellow bread lovers has me wanting to come back!!!!

The food was delicious and we had a good experience in this restaurant! The taste of the rib was excellent and the risotto was so creamy and tasteful.

I had a nice time here with a group of friends over the weekend. Our waiter was very friendly and great at his job, but the service was quite slow. I assumed they were understaffed. I ordered the braised short rib dish, which was pretty good. The meat was very tender but was a very small portion compared to the amount of risotto. The risotta was extremely creamy and kind of overwhelming. The complementary garlic knots were just OK - they were kind of doughy and lacked flavor beyond the heavy parmesan topping. Overall, I would give this place another shot as my concerns may have just been a one-time fluke.

With little signage the space feels like a natural speakeasy. It's unpolished enough to feel a little sleazy, yet polished enough to never feel dirty. Whether you're a serious whiskey enthusiast or just looking for a well-made cocktail, you're in good hands. Being open later than most Raleigh bars makes Foundation one of the city's go-to late-night options, but that shouldn't overshadow what it really is........a great bar at any hour. It was me and one other person and it took about 15 minutes for our waiter to come to our table to take our order or even speak to us (shockingly this same waiter took a couples order sitting at the table next to us even though they arrived way later). We understood that it was slightly busy since it's a Friday night however it would've been better to at least take our order or bring us water in the meantime while also letting us know we had to wait that long. I grew very impatient and ultimately wanted to leave the establishment altogether at this point. Once we got our drinks (I ordered The Middle Child) they were both way too strong to even take a sip. As a cocktail bar, the drinks shouldn't taste like straight rubbing alcohol. I couldn't even finish my drink because it tasted so bad.

We arrived on a busy Sunday evening without a reservation and were told the wait would be about 40 minutes. Instead of simply putting us on a list, Alfredia, the host, immediately made us feel welcome. She even offered me a cup of ice water after noticing we'd walked over in the summer heat. A few minutes later, she found a way to get our family seated much sooner than expected. That small act of kindness set the tone for the entire evening. Our server, Toni, was exceptional. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic, he guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations. Every suggestion was spot-on, and it was obvious he knew the menu well. The food was outstanding. The Duck Flautas were a great start. The She-Crab Soup was rich and flavorful. The Wagyu Burger with caramelized onions, truffle aioli on brioche was excellent--my son says it's the best burger he's ever had. The Mediterranean Chicken Piccata was beautifully prepared with confit fingerling potatoes, charred asparagus, goat cheese, sun-dried tomato tapenade, and piccata sauce. We were so busy enjoying dinner that we completely forgot to take photos until dessert--which probably says everything. The Beignets with cold brew icing were excellent, and the warm Brownie with salted caramel ice cream was the perfect ending to the meal. What also impressed us was that Chef Jonathan stopped by our table to check on our meal, and Ravin, the General Manager, took time to welcome us personally and make sure everything about our visit was going well. We never felt rushed. Great food may bring people through the door. Great hospitality is what brings them back. The Crunkleton gave our family one of those dinners we'll remember long after the trip is over. The atmosphere is stylish without feeling pretentious, the service is genuinely warm, and it's clear that everyone there takes pride in what they do. If you're visiting Raleigh--or if you're fortunate enough to live there--I would absolutely recommend giving The Crunkleton a try. We left talking not only about how much we enjoyed the meal, but also about the people who made the evening special. Thank you to Alfredia, Toni, Chef Jonathan, Ravin, and everyone behind the scenes for making a simple family dinner into such a memorable experience. We absolutely will be back.
