$12 for a small cheese pizza from a chain??!! $17 for a large pizza? $12 for a steak and cheese sub? I get that in 2022 we are in a period of inflation, but this is crazy! We're talking 30% price increases from one year ago ... and the quality has gobe DOWN since a venture capital group bought the brand! This used to be some of the most consistent pizza in New England. Its one of those places you miss more for nostalgia sake when you are away because you grew up eating it ... and it wasn't bad. When I moved back east from LA to escape the crime LA is now famous for, I loved Papa Ginos because it wasn't the sweet ketchup sugar sauce and bread-like sauce that most New England pizza joints are known for. The sauce has a little zing and the cheese doesn't taste like bulk bagged mozzarella. You could get a small for $7 and a large for $11 and there were usually coupons. Now, even with a 20% off coupon, you are paying gourmet pizza prices for essentially chain pizza. After seeing these price increases, they just lost me. I'm not cheap ... I will pay for artesinal quality ... but this isn't that. Good luck getting what used to be sit-down/homemade restaurant prices for inconsistent chain restaurant food Papa Ginos. Has both D'angelo subs and salads and Papa Gino's pizza and pasta dishes. Quick service, fair food. Ordered a steak Greek salad and received it quickly. Grilled shaved steak on lettuce with black olives and hot pepper slices. Not an epic dining experience, but inexpensive and fast. read more

Last time I come here. Would give 0 stars if I could. Called in an order at 4:48 p.m. and was told it'd be ready in 30 minutes. Paid for it at 5:14 and was told it'd take 5 minutes longer. Well, 5 turned out to be 25. Turns out they didn't even start on the last of my three pizzas until I got there. That hamburger pizza was barely cut; plus, it was oily and disgusting. My order of large teriyaki boneless wings was a small; it barely filled up half the box. I got sucked into their Monday special of $6.99 for a large cheese. Turns out I could go 5 minutes down the road to Comella's in Hingham and get a large cheese any day. I forgot how good their sauce is. Shame my son likes their teriyaki wings/tenders so much. I placed an order online and went to pick up the food and only to be told that the food is actually not ready yet so had to wait another 10 min just standing there.... also their sign outside was completely turned off so it looked like the store was legit closed. Stopped by for a quick bite with my boyfriend. The restaurant was very clean and all of the employees were extremely friendly. There also wasn't a long wait time. For lack of better words, the food was eh. The bacon, cheddar, ranch cheese sticks barely had cheese on there, and the bottom portion of the cheese sticks kept falling apart. Our crispy buffalo chicken pizza was okay, again not much cheese and was cold when we received it. We made do with our food since we were in a rush. My First and Last experience with this place. Ordered using mobile app. It was kinda clunky and slow going. I should have read the writing on the wall then. I waited for over order for an hour and 20 minutes. I called the location and asked where my pizza was. "We don't have an order for that address" was what I was told first. I informed them I have a confirmation number. They mumbles to each other In the background for a moment and the. I was told "the driver said they couldn't get into the building." I informed them that left instructions on how to get in with my order/profile. "I don't know what happened..." I was told. Clearly. I then asked why nobody called my number? I was LIED to and said that the driver called my phone. I had zero missed calls. They didn't offer any sort of apology and made it out to be my fault. If you have my phone number and you have a problem getting into the building because you can't the read instructions provided...CALL. It's not rocket science. ALLLLLLL SET WITH THESE GUYS. I'll pay more somewhere else. Keep your pizza and poor service. Do yourself a favor and don't call or visit this location. read more

I would say just about any child that has grown up in the New England area has been to a birthday party or had his/her birthday party at Papa Gino's...including me! It is a New England staple. It has been around since before I have been alive...which is a reallllly long time . This is the place you want to go to get some subs in pizza before watching a game or just to have a pizza night. In the 80s it was the joint to listen to your favorite Michael Jackson or Bananrama tunes. They have changed their menu over the years, but for the most part you can get a nice pizza or salad for a great price. They have express lunch specials and build your own burger now. This location is very clean and next to dollar tree. It is on the way to Nantasket Beach so you can go there before or after you take in the sun. There is plenty of parking and the waitstaff is very nice. They make a decent Lobstah sandwich for a great price!!! Check them out if you haven't already. Have a slice of New England! read more

On my sons first birthday we ordered 20+ pizzas from Denleys (Yes there were a lot of people) I ordered them 3 days in advance and the lady confirmed everything...well 2:00 rolled around and I sent my husband to go get the pizza while i entertained all the kiddies and the sevvvveral guests we had. He came back....empty handed! They claimed we never ordered the pizza! I freaked out and the guy was so rude to ME the victim i said forget it (well i said make them but never went back to spite him for not being apologetic) I called this Papa Ginos, they were totally nice and understanding and had 20 pizzas ready for me in 30 minutes so my guests didnt have to starve for hours. read more

A once proud family favorite is succumbing to a low skill, low energy work force. Food quality is abhorrent, made worse by lack of management oversight and willingness to sacrifice small expenses to maintain quality control. I dined in the North Weymouth location today and was served two slices over grease covered rubber. There was no indication slices being kept in the warmer were being timed. The dough has a sour taste, meaning it was likely over proofed. And to top it all off, the person working the counter slid them at me, one slice laying on the other like a pile of the world's thinnest flapjacks. One of the booths had an enormous rip in the seat cushion and the tables, while not dirty, weren't exactly wiped down either. The only thing saving this review from being a one star rating is they at least avoided reheating slices at the same temperature as they were cooked in. Upper management has tried to fix the many issues, but Papa's seems to be caught in the limbo between sit down fast casual spots and low quality delivery heavy alternatives like Domino's or Papa John's. read more

I used to work for Papa Gino's, so I feel like I know what I'm talking about. I ordered two pizzas at 7:30 pm yesterday and told the cashier we would be eating in. She said it would be 20 minutes (which I know is how long it takes to make the pizza). I arrived at 745 after picking up my mum and sister from the commuter boat. We paid and then sat down to wait. There was only two other people in the restaurant. At 8:15 I went up to the manager to ask about my order. They had put it in a box and into the warmer without calling out my name to tell me it was ready. I was floored! She apologized and said she was training people. That is absolutely no excuse. Why put it in a box when we were eating in? Then the pizza itself was awful. It was soggy from being in the box and hadn't been rolled out thinly enough. I will never go to Bridge Street again. Papa Gino's in Norwell will get my business instead. read more

We had a large pizza with half pepperoni and half meat combo. It actually tasted pretty good. However, it was greeeeeeasy! Here's the score: a) Crust: Check ... very good b) Meat: Check ... very good c) Sauce: Check ... very good d) Cheese: Hmm not much at all .. scarce e) Oil: Tooo much! Had to squeegee the grease off my face after eating. Probably should have had some paddles nearby to shock my heart back into action after clogging my arteries. To be fair though ... it still tasted great! Pools of oil just too much if you want to live for a year or more longer :) Maybe just in moderation ... or offset with a salad next time. I move to the area about 3 years ago and tried just about every nearby pizza joint I could find and the taste experience ranged from not very good to awful, and some were on the expensive side. Papa's is a further a drive than I prefer and if I order take out, which I normally do, the pizza requires some heating by the time I get home. But this is by far my favorite pizza. As an aside, I used to order from Dominos quite a lot before they changed their menu, crust, and sauce. I don't like spicy and their sauce is too spicy for me (I assume red pepper) and they no longer offer the pizza I used to order. Before I moved to this area I used to get my pizza from a local pizza place that was about 10 mins from my home. It was delicious. Nothing like that around me now. Thank goodness for Papas. If they weren't so distant from where I reside I'd go there more often. Maybe that's a good ting or else I'd be twice as big as I am now. Other than their bread sticks which I don't care for, I cannot speak for their other menu items because I never order anything except pizza. read more

WORST service. Cashier could not have been bothered. she was rude. I ordered an Italian with the works and chicken parm sub, they both the works on both! When I brought it back, she girl was bothered... then gave me another one and said that made me a new on but when I bit in to it. there were still picked and come lettuce that they just covered with sauce!!
