    Red Wine Poached Pear Bruschetta

I think we found our new favorite restaurant in the area!!! We visited for dinner on Valentine's Day and Brava definitely exceeded expectations. We've also been to two other local spots from this restaurant group, and while they're all great, I think Brava just stole the top spot. The restaurant itself is small, but intimate, cozy, and decorated well with a nice bar area in the front. I booked a reservation weeks in advance since it was Valentine's Day and even though the place was packed we were seated right away after walking in. We kicked things off with a round of the tastiest vodka kumquat cocktail (I wish I could remember the name but it isn't listed on the online menu). It was honestly one of the best cocktails I've had in a while, I can't wait to come back to sample some more options from Brava's bar menu. The wine and beer list are small but well-curated, we had no trouble finding something we liked for round 2. The food we sampled was equally as exceptional. They have a whole list of bruschetta's on house made focaccia. We went with the Red Wine Poached Pear option and it was so unique and flavorful. That dish alone was enough to sell me on this spot, but the Orecchiette al Forno and Squid Ink Bucatini Vongole we had for our entrees were just as delishious. Our server was so kind and gave some great recommendations--I wish I could remember her name so I could give her a shoutout. Can't say enough good things about our first meal at Brava, it certainly won't be our last :)

The perfect date night spot with some of the most delicious Italian food in the area. The vibe of the restaurant is cozy and romantic. The pasta is made in house and they even have gluten free options! Every dish is seasoned to perfection. They have a great Pasta Dinner Special where you can choose a bruschetta, 1/2 salad, arancini, or polpette, and pasta for only $33! This is typically my go to as I can try a few different dishes for such a great price. Service is always great, the staff is super attentive and knowledgeable on dietary restrictions. My water cup is was always full!

Outstanding!! A great addition to Weymouth Landing! My friend and I came here to check the place out shortly after they opened. They did a great job renovating to give it a cozy, intimate vibe. We started with the arancini and burrata. Both were excellent but the bread that came with the burrata was UNREAL. I've never tasted bread like this before. I wanted to take a loaf home with me! For my entree, I ordered the bucatini carbonara. It was fantastic! The black pepper flavor was very strong but I loved it. I'm already looking forward to coming back here, if only for that bread alone! I definitely recommend checking this place out :)

The place is pretty small but has a nice bar. Our waitress was so nice and recommended some good wines for us to try. The Caesar salad was really good and we split a couple pastas, the bolognese and gnocchi, that were both delicious. Very pleasantly surprised by this place!

Needed to find a dinner spot near the Logan Shuttle in Braintree. Yelp pointed me to BRAVA. We were greeted by the delightful host and seated immediately (I'd made reservations on Open Table). I'd missed our server's name, but she was an energetic spitfire (Serena Gomez doppelgänger) and super attentive. I could have eaten my way through the appetizer side of things, but one picky eater friend prohibited that! There is no complimentary bread service, but order the grilled bread--it's delicious! I would have liked additional olive oil to dip, but they don't keep it on the table. I ordered a mocktail described as "fun". I received a delicious gingery surprise! My sis had a glass of Sangiovese. Our toasted carrot app was different and delicious. Forgot to photograph them before diving in. Entrees included the chicken broccoli Alfredo, Orecchiette with sausage and rabe and I had the carbonara. The great thing about the carbonara was the use of guanciale over pancetta. I was missing some tender green peas, which would have launched it to perfection. Overheard someone say the restaurant had only been open a short time. It's a great little spot and upon leaving was filled up and bar was hopping! I hope they do well--I'll be back when I'm in the area.

Bravo for Brava! Welcome to Weymouth! We all know that way back when Weymouth didn't always have the best restaurants. But, now they have come along way and with their newly opened Italian restaurant called Brava (was the former establishment of 4th and Cherry). Brava belongs to the awesome and amazing restaurant group that includes: Drift Hull, Dotty's (formerly The Townshend), and Pearl and Lime. We have become like family since we frequent these restaurants quite a bit. Their food is always fresh, cocktails are innovative and service is impeccable. Brava is their newest sibling in Weymouth center and we had the pleasure of dining their this past weekend. It is cute and cozy; the perfect date night spot. Parking is mostly street parking, but they do have a garage next door. I was able to find street parking. We started off with a few cocktails and their Caesar Salad and Roasted Figs. What was special about their Caesar is they had cacio e pepe croutons which were amazing. Also, their Roasted Figs were hot, creamy and cheesey...who doesn't love that. For entrees, my hubby got their Porchetta and I ordered their Orecchiette al forno (GF). I thought the Gluten Free pasta was a bit heavier and filling but still very good. We both brought home leftovers. We also ordered a few scoops of their gelato. Brava is like visiting your best friend, you never want to leave! Cheers and I hope you check them out. Tell them "hello" from me!

I want Brava Cucina to succeed, because this location is seemingly cursed. Which sucks, because this and its previous iteration have a beautiful aesthetic, and promising menus - both bar and kitchen. But dang if there weren't kinks in the execution. They have a series of sides, dips and accoutrement to accompany their focaccia, which is raging on TikTok because people loved to stick their grubby fingers in things, but I digress - it's a fantastic fast bread, and when done well, is as versatile as quick breads can get. We got the coppa and prosciutto starter, and the star of the show was waaaaaaay too dense. Underproofed? Underbaked? Both? Dunno. We could get past a single piece each, so we scarfed down the meats and chalked up a loss. (And yes, we did notify the server of the off bread. She said, "Oh I'm sorry" but nothing went beyond that.) We also got the crispy Brussels sprouts, and as far as seasonal litmus tests go, this was a stellar version. Exquisite roast, in a glaze of reduced apple cider, honey and lemon, tossed with guanciale and topped with parm - order them every time. Our entree pastas - the orecchiette al forno (sweet italian sausage, broccoli rabe, fontina and pecorino moltinero crema) and bucatini carbonara (moar guanciale, black pepper, egg yolk, parm) - had everything we wanted on a brisk fall night... on paper. Again, the execution was off: very soft guanciale (way less rendered than in the brussels), overcooked bucatini, and the flavors were solid in my orecciette but the sauce was broken and there was SO. MUCH. OF IT. Take a look at the pic: it looks like ear pasta cereal swimming in milk. Flatware, interior, lighting and decor gave total Italian nonna - the water glasses especially (loved it). I have to assume this was an off-night. We gave feedback through the evening which was met with the sort of same "Oh, okay" and that was that. Nothing was bad, so kept our plates and just chalked it up to a difference in tastes, which is fine. Not clamoring to return immediately, unfortunately, but will definitely give it another shot a bit further down the road. And I'll bring nonna.

We were a few minutes late to our reservation and it was ok. Our waitress was so great. She explained all the dishes so well and I picked the best dish for me. For appetizers we had burrata and roasted figs. The burrata came with fresh bread that I loved. I ordered the penne vodka and it was spicy. We did not feel rushed but there was definitely a crowd can't wait to go back!

Didn't mentioned the missing bread service, but figured we had time. After a little while, our entrees were delivered by the food runner. My shrimp & grits was served with the heads on the plate but severed from the bodies. I moved the heads to an appetizer plate and removed the tail meat from the shells for the 5-6 shrimp on the plate. Once deconstruction was complete, I tasted the dish. It was a bit bland. I used s&p to season the dish, but it was still underwhelming. Our bread service never came. I finished my cocktail and would have enjoyed another. I continued to eat my dish, despite it being disappointing. My husband really enjoyed his meal. When the waiter finally came over, I voiced my disappointment in the dish, which still had 50% untouched, but since I'd deconstructed the shimp first, it probably looked like I ate more thaN i did He didn't really acknowledge my comment about it being underwhelming and then took away our plates and brought the check without any attempt at an accommodation. When we were waiting for our table at the hostess stand, we and another party saw a mouse. My husband stated he thought it ran over his foot. I asked if we should go... but as we are veterans of living in the city and mice being pretty normal, we decided to stay. Maybe we should have gone to have a better night. Service at the start was fine, but then drinks did not come until after the first round of food. In addition, as I've seen from a few reviews here, we received an additional tray of tacos that was not ours, which a runner then took away and looked to serve to the correct table. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I know you never take a plate of food from one table and move it to another. Everything came out within 7 to 10 minutes, which was great, but a few of the tacos seemed like they had been sitting and were soggy which I took to mean they were sitting prepped in the kitchen and just popped on the table. Who knows. Because then when we ordered a few more tacos, we waited about 20 minutes before starting to look around and our server not once making eye contact. 10 minutes later, my husband and daughter left to go to the bookstore while I waited for the check and as soon as they had left, the tacos came out, in a to go box. The server did not offer to do anything in regards to the long wait time, which even if I wouldn't have taken, should have been addressed. We won't be coming back for a long time... It seems they've lost their way. If you do go...the pork belly taco and the crispy oyster taco were both delicious (even if soggy).
