    Border Nachos

I went here for dinner with 4 friends (another person we knew gave us this suggestion) and we had a good meal. Our food came to the table hot and we were all advised not to touch our warm plates of food (as they were being served with oven mitts). Our server was friendly and helpful with anything we needed from solving an issue with a wobbly table to bringing our drinks in a timely manner and making sure our food arrived to the correct people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was inviting with lots of various pictures on the walls but the lighting was not bright enough to clearly see our menus with (many of us used the flashlight setting from our phones to clearly see what was on the large menu (with many choices).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We heard at least two birthday serenades by the staff to various tables and they were great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is an outdoor tables to use if you so choose and there is also lots of parking spaces too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We would return to have another meal here and try something else.

We had the loaded Nachos with ground beef lots of melted cheese, guacamole, refried beans and shredded lettuce and tomatoes. The best Nachos I ever had. The thing I really loved about this place was the ambience so darn cute. The waitress was nice and pleasant.

We stopped by for dinner at Ocho Cafe and sat outside. They turned part of their parking lot to a closed off patio area for outdoor dining. The sugar daddy margarita was delicious. I ordered the pork carnitas tacos and loved the flavoring of the pork. I also really like how the guacamole is made to order, so we were able to add/remove things in real time. Dinner was great and I would come back again.

Ocho is one of our regular restaurant rotations. We love it here. There is no shortage of delicious options. I have never been disappointed by anything I've ordered. The waitstaff is always polite and friendly. The inside is beautifully decorated and quite large. They have the ability to accommodate large parties as well. We bring all of our friends and family here. We most recently brought our friends from Ireland here on St. Patrick's day and they loved it. Keep up the great work Ocho!

My brother and I got takeout from this Mexican place. I ordered the 1 enchilada, 1 taco and 1 quesadilla combination plate. For the enchilada, I got the enchilada con mole which consisted of chicken enchilada topped with apple mole sauce and sesame seeds. It was good. For the taco, I got the short rib korean taco which came with skirt steak marinated in soy sauce, ginger, cabbage, and pico de gallo. The flavor of the steak didn't really taste Korean. It wasn't my cup of tea. For the quesadilla, I got the mango club which consists of grilled chicken, cheese, caramelized onions, mango relish, smoked bacon, and avocado. I liked the combination of all the ingredients but the quesadilla just lacked flavor. The combination plate also came with citrus chipotle slaw, refried beans and rice but none of the sides stood out.

Wonderful service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Went over the weekend and sat at the bar with my husband, the food is wonderful and ambience is great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is very accommodating. I had a seafood dish that was stuffed into a pineapple. That was absolutely amazing, also had apple cheesecake of some sort for dessert, which was really great. We will be back!!

The vibe is incredible from the second you walk Into this restaurant! The he decorations are so fun and vibrant. The staff is so friendly. We got a table as soon as we walked in. We were served water immediately & our lovely waitress appeared within minutes to take our order. We ordered guacamole , queso dip and chips to start. The chips & guac were fresh and flavorful. I'm gonna be honest I think the queso is processed cheese. Not my favorite but my daughter loved it. I ordered a blackberry margarita that arrived on fire. So fun! It tasted incredible! For dinner I got the enchilada Sonoma. What an incredible combo of chicken, spinach, & cheese topped with a Chardonnay cilantro pecan sauce. The portions were huge! I only ate half of my meal and took the rest to go. I've been craving this meal since I've been there. May have to go back soon!

Dinner Taco Al Pastor - Beauty Shot

I came here after a recommendation from a friend. Given the horror stories I read, Ocho surpised me! Especially after reading some of the horror stories other Yelpers shared. To be fair, these weren't the best tacos I've ever had (thus the search continues), but very good nonetheless. Provided are chips and salsa to start. Solid, run of the mill stuff, no complaints and no specific praise. I ordered the Al Pastor Tacos, a Torero Margarita, and Churros for dessert. The Margarita was large, strong, and complete with a little flame for show! I can't say this was the tastiest Marg I've had, but it still had a good flavor. The Al Pastor Tacos were great! The ingredients were more or less in balance, with a good amount of meaty, fresh, and creamy. But, I would have preferred the protein have a more prominent role and more punchy flavor. Slaw, beans, and rice were generally unmarkable. I will say that they cooked the rice to perfection, and the beans were a nice move away from plain black beans. Churros were very nice, but not the best I've ever had. They were more on the crisp side, with a little softness on the inside. I prefer more softness, otherwise you get a extra-crisp french-fry of a churro. Even with French fries, as crisp as I like them, if they resemble potato chips, it's a little much for me. In terms of value, the price for two tacos and the sides seemed a little steep. However, the margarita was priced more than fairly for the size and strength. Service was nice and fast (tacos took 15 minutes).

But I will say I am excited that a new pizza spot is now in its place. I think my next time that I try this will be physically at the restaurant. My only concern is that it is very loud. The place itself was small too so the music really overpowered everything. But once the live music wrapped up the vibes were good! Not too loud that I was screaming over it, but still lively. I got the Heart of Stone which was delicious! Not too sour or sweet, but was definitely a strong cocktail. I had 3/4 of it and I was already feeling it. My friend got an Old Fashioned and she was a big fan! It went down quite smoothly and tasted good too. For $14 a drink, it was a little pricy but honestly I've seen places in Boston charge more. I would recommend coming here to grab drinks but maybe not a spot to catch up because of how loud it was. Would love to try their food as it looked pretty good!

We also love their stuffed dates. For entrees, I had their Salmon which is always cooked to perfection. My husband's had their Steak Frites which he enjoyed very much. Dessert is always a tough choice since all of them are excellent but this time we went with their brownie sundae. I went with a seat at the bar, and was greeted right away by one of the bartenders, and provided menus. There are a lot of great options on the menu - appetizers, bowls, salads, main courses, lots of beer on top, cocktails, and nonalcoholic cocktails as well. On the bartenders recommendation, I went with the Baja fish tacos, and upgraded my side to tater tots. The tacos were generously sized, with two small pieces of fish per taco, mango salsa, avocado, red cabbage, and chipotle aioli. They were the perfect depth of flavor, with savory, and sweet, and a touch of spice. I'm so glad I upgraded to the tots - they were perfectly crispy and delicious. Will for sure be back to try more of the menu!

Apps were overcooked chicken fingers ...a very good chicken quesadilla and some pita bread with a blah feta cheese dip. Very good selection of beers on a side note. I got the bayou chicken with pasta. A very tasty creamy dish with a hint of heat. One other dish was a bolognese that I'm told is very good. Rumor at bar was that the burgers were the best around. I did see a flatbread pizza that looked ok. Also the chips and salsa has the thin chips ...not sure if they are heated though. Overall a decent atmosphere and pub food.
