    Homemade spaghetti and meatballs

It's a cute place inside and out. I asked the cook what the best thing on the menu was and he said the tomato sauce, meatballs and pizza. That is what I got. All were good, I didn't care for the homemade spaghetti but the cavatelli was better. I prefer regular dry spaghetti. The meatballs are good similar to my own recipe. So I liked them. The salad was good but it is head lettuce and the Italian dressing was your basic bottled flavor Italian. The free bread is sliced out of a bag from the grocery store (kidding) but the butter made up for it and the bread was good and edible. The pizza is good, crispy bottom and light. I would suggest to ask for light on the toppings more is not better for this pizza. The cheese has a lot of flavor. It's my foodie opinion.

    Pizza

I hadn't eaten here in more than 10 years, since we moved to Cali. I had a craving for it when we came home recently. The pizza was as good as I remember. Properly cheesy, with the right amount of grease. I also had never had their supreme pizza until this trip. Nobody gives you more toppings than Petti's. It was an epic pizza. Petti's, you have done an excellent job staying consistent to what I remember from my childhood.

Right in the middle of dinner, every single phone in the room went off at the same time with a tornado warning. You could feel the shift for a second--everyone looking around, trying to figure out what was happening--and then shortly after, the lights went out. No candles, no backup lighting, just a room full of people sitting together in the dark, lit by phone screens, laughing and taking it all in. (Yes, we got a picture--because how could you not?) What stood out immediately was how calm everything remained. There was no chaos, no confusion, and no sense of panic. The staff handled it with a level of professionalism and composure that honestly impressed all of us. And that's where Noah deserves real recognition. Noah went above and beyond in a way that you just don't see every day. When we asked what the plan was if things escalated, he didn't brush it off--he made sure we knew exactly what would happen and reassured us that we would be taken care of and moved safely to the kitchen if needed. That level of awareness, communication, and care made a huge difference in the moment. Now let's talk about the food--because even without the storm story, this place stands on its own. Everything was excellent. The salads were fresh and well-prepared, the meals were flavorful and clearly made with care, and the overall quality across the table was consistent. You can tell this is a restaurant that has built its reputation over time and continues to deliver. The atmosphere also deserves a callout. There's something about this place that feels genuinely personal. The family photos throughout the restaurant--even in the bathrooms--gave it a warmth that's hard to describe but instantly recognizable. It reminded me of my Nana and Papa, that kind of nostalgic, comforting feeling that you don't often get in restaurants anymore. And somehow, even sitting in the dark during a tornado warning, that feeling didn't go away--it actually made it stronger. That says everything. End result: * Incredible, high-quality food * Exceptional, thoughtful service (huge shoutout to Noah and the team) * A warm, authentic, family-style atmosphere * A once-in-a-lifetime dinner experience we'll never forget Amazing experience--lights or not. If you're in the area, go. And if something unexpected happens while you're there, just know--you're in good hands. Would absolutely come back.

Inside it's very small and the tables are crammed together. When people would walk past our table to use the restroom I had at least 2 people hit my purse that was on the back of my chair. The purse isn't even big at all. It just felt extremely tight sitting between others who are dining. The server was very nice but the service was overall slow. We had to wait awhile to get our entrie orders taken. Then waiting even longer for our food. I think the server was overwhelmed with our size table of 8 people. She checked in on us often which was nice but at the end of our dinner she messed up almost everyone's check. It was very disorganized and everyone was confused about what they were paying for or who owed what. When I got my check I had what I ordered on my bill and it was my card number but another girls name showed up on my bill... weird. Food was just okay. About as good as Olive Garden and honestly I would prefer Olive Garden. My friend also wasn't impressed with the food and said she wouldn't go back there. There was nothing about the food that made us excited to go back. My friend got an espresso martini and she said it was okay but strong. She had ordered another one after finishing the first one and when the server brought it out it was basically black and looked like straight espresso coffee. My friend tried it, hated it and asked for 2 creamers to add to it. They couldn't make a good cocktail but they did have a good selection of wines.

My friends received complimentary house salads. I wish I had gotten that. I had the chicken Marsala which was great, but pasta was bland. Would have been better paired with a mashed potato. A friend and I visited on a Thursday evening, the restaurant was small, quaint and cozy, with a steady stream of customers. There is a small bar. We were warmly greeted upon entering and immediately seated. Our server, Domenic, approached our table a short time later. He explained the menu, letting us know that bread and salad were included with our entrees. We proceeded to order cocktails, wine and a yummy pomegranate spritz. I ordered the chicken parmesan, my friend ordered the chicken marsala. Our salads and bread basket arrived quickly. The salad was generous, freshly made and tasty. The bread was fresh, served with a olive oil, infused with balsamic vinegar. Our entrees arrived just as we finished our salads, perfect timing. The chicken parmesan was prepared and plated nicely. The chicken was tender, seasoned, and topped with cheese and marinara, on top of penned pasta. The chicken was tasty. The pasta was a bit overcooked, for me. The marinara was a bit bland. I ate the chicken and skipped most of the pasta. My friend's Marsala was plated well, lots of mushrooms, but she commented that the entree was somewhat bland. The best part of the visit was our server, Domenic, he was attentive and friendly. Overall the meal was good, I would visit again, but this won't be my go-to Italian restaurant.

My Bolognese Cavatelli was very good, but my wife felt the Eggplant Parmigiana was simply a cheesy clump, the skin tough and stringy. An excellent bread service goes in the win column.
