I generally don't do chain restaurant reviews, but I couldn't resist based on the highway robbery that occurred tonight... We haven't had Papa John's in literally years, so we decided to order delivery... 2 small works pizzas and 8 wings delivered via Door Dash = $66 dollars. Give me a damn break... What planet did I just land on that chain pizza costs this much? Make no mistake about it, this is customer price gouging at its highest level and it needs to stop. While the pizza was alright, there's no way in hell it was worth $66... Whatever happened to fair and reasonable consumer prices? I don't buy the poor economy and inflation excuses anymore... Restaurants are simply screwing customers and it's both ignorant and flippant to argue otherwise. Do better Papa John's because your prices do not match the quality of your product. read more

We ordered 2 medium pizzas and a 12" cheesestick online. The 2 pizzas come with garlic butter and you have a choice of sauce with the cheesesticks - we chose garlic butter. In addition to the 3 food items we also added 2 garlic butters to our order - so a total of 5. When the food was ordered, we received 4 garlic butters so we called the store, told them about the mistake and the manager told us they would send someone out with the missing one. After close to an hour, no had shown up so we called to find out if the driver had gotten lost or delayed. The same manager who told us he'd send someone out now told us that we should only have had 4 garlic butters and then argued with us when we explained how we had come up with the number of 5. In the end, we did not get our 5th butter. I caution anyone ordering from the Papa Johns on E. Dupont Rd to be aware of our experience. The manager of this store clearly does not care about the customer or customer service. He sets expecations that he cannot keep and he argues with the customer. In our opinion he has no integrity and is untrustworthy. It would have been simple for him to send a garlic butter over when the next delivery went out. But instead he chose to lose us as a customer all for $1.78. After reading some of the other reviews, I agree with them about the quality of the food as well. Ordered food 30 minutes ahead of time, was told it would be ready by 5:15. Get there at 5:2.0, told it would be another 15 minutes. They forgot our breadsticks and didn't offer a refund, told us it would be another 20 minutes for them to make the correct order. Not professional, efficient or competent to make the correct order. Was told it was on the way. 20 minutes later still nothing l , called again was told walking out he door. I expresses my frustration and was told we are voiding your order and was hung up on. Only order if you have 2 hours to kill. This place has a dysfunctional staff, and the Papa John's call center had a guy that took 10 min to order 3 pizzas. I was told 25 min, and have been waiting in the store for 35, after I waited 25 to drive there. Boo Papa John, your call center and your staff at E. Dupont need major work. read more

1. Delivery area - I fell just outside of your delivery area. However Tony obtained approval from his manager to deliver. I would love for you to expand a few miles farther to cover my address. 2. Tony was outstanding. He was super friendly and took time to locate my address due to it showing incorrectly on the map, he obtained manager approval to deliver to me, he was kind & patient and so friendly. Excellent Cust Service!! 3. The garlic knots were slightly burnt. I threw them out. I never mentioned this because I hate complaining. 4. Delivery driver forgot to leave my 2 liter of pop and never delivered it. I called and spoke with AJ right after the driver left, he stated he would call the driver and have him/her come back. They did not. 2 hours later, still no pop, I called and spoke with Beccah who stated that she would leave a note to credit me the price of a 2 liter on my next order. I was pretty annoyed that I did not get the 2 liter. 5. the phone app needs some improvements. You are not able to customize at all. I needed to call in my order and ended up losing out on those points. The shining star here is Tony. His bubbly personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and his commitment to Papa Johns was refreshing. And the pizza was fantastic! (minus the over-cooked garlic knots lol) read more

Ordered a pizza half and half. They put the bacon underneath the cheese so it didn't cook at all and was just chewy. On top of that, they cut the halves wrong so I got all toppings in random 1/4ths. Called the place and said there's nothing he could do. What an illiterate disgrace read more
