The food was amazing and the outdoor seating was quite relaxing! I highly recommend the Oseberg Smash Burger with the truffle fries. The burger comes with this fig jam that make the burger dance!!!

Getting there: Don't be alarmed when you start passing a bunch of apartments (you're on the scenic route to wine lol) Keep driving and Vinland Winery will appear like a hidden treasure at the end of the road. Parking is easy; there are plenty of spots. Food: The Smash Burger smashed my cravings. Garlic truffle fries were finger licking good. And those cheese curds...jeez a Midwestern happiness on a plate. Depending on the time of day, they've got brunch, lunch, or dinner menu options. I didn't try the alcohol (maybe next time!)...but they had slushie wines and cocktails that looked fun. Service/Ambiance: Staff was super friendly and patient with us first timers. We sat inside where it's bright, airy, and you get a peek at both the bar and the view outside. The patio has shade, plus there are cozy private rooms with fireplaces and TVs, perfect for groups. You can even wander out to the deck and grassy area to admire grapevines and the pond (brownie points: it's baby friendly, so my little one had a good time too)! Overall, this is a cool spot and hidden gem. Great for birthdays, date nights, or even a proposal if you're feeling lucky. The deck overlooking the water is lovely for photos too. I'll be back!

Another excellent visit to Vinland! The facility is large and attractive. Great for groups. Make a reservation. The metal chairs are not the most comfortable. Sitting under the covered patio with a gentle breeze is nice! Vinland doesn't have a very large menu of cocktails. Tuesday is half priced martini night! The Melon Pear and Tunnel Vision cocktails were very refreshing and tasty. The fried pickle appetizer was nice. It had a thick and spicy batter. Little bit of a crunch that moderately stuck to the mildly tart dill pickle spear. The southwest sauce was a nice accent to the fried spear and add a bit of cool and spiciness. My wife's chicken salad was fresh. The chicken was tender and moist. She recommends it! The salad came with a light Caesar dressing.h t I generally choose wings when I'm at Vinland. You generally get 8 large wings for $17. At this price Vinland is not a destination for wings. They make a good and tasty option if there is t something else on the menu...in your price point that interests you. The wings I got were the Sweet Heat Teriyaki wings. They always have a nice fried crispy skin. The sauce was plentiful - almost soupy. There was a mild level of spiciness to the sauce. The sauce also had a very mild teriyaki taste. I usually expect a thick-dense sauce with a strong teriyaki flavor. This wasn't that way. Very tasty!

    This is their Benedict "sandwich".

Discovered this winery when looking for band to go see. It's wonderful! My friend took me here for brunch for my birthday. The food was amazing!! A must try!! The staff is so friendly as well.

Gorgeous! Welcoming! Perfect place to hang! Those are really all the words you need. See images for more information. There's a wide selection of wines and plenty of seating with various options. Indoor outdoor self service bar and even your own little private area.

Amazing food! I'm a vegetarian and the ancient grain salad sounds weird, but it's really yummy. Cakes are always delicious and the sangria can't be beaten. If I had anything to say I'd like for a vegetarian burger or pasta to be added!

I have an unpopular opinion and I'm fine with that. This was ok, just ok. The ambiance here is nice. It's not luxurious or swank, but it is expansive, cozy, and very clean. I was here for a birthday party. The party I was with had 20 members, and 2 were late. The remaining 18 had to stand on the lobby area until such time we were certain they were coming. I didn't care to remain standing with 18 other people in the lobby area. The waitress we had was exceptional. She didn't provide her name, but her service was consistent, professional, and warm. I had the fried chicken sandwich. I found it to be dry and limited in flavor. It was merely a fried chicken breast on a bun, which also baffled me. Other photos show the fried chicken sandwich on what appeared to be a baguette. My fries were scattered around the plate with the sandwich and not in a tin cup as per other photos, and I had no pickle at all. I never complain, or I limit complaints at most establishments. I just take mental notes and proceed accordingly. This again was ok, there were a few forced errors, but it was ok. I know- unpopular.

Wine was great but I was kind of underwhelmed by everything. Needed a reservation to eat at the tables so we sat in the lounge section. We decided to order some food since it was around dinner and the food was not the greatest, below par for the price. Simple menu.

This is my second time to Vinland, but the others in my party were here for the first time. We originally had reservations outside but they contacted me the day before to offer an inside reservation due to chilly weather forecast. It was definitely appreciated. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable without hovering. We each did a wine flight ($11 for 4) and two of us included a wine slushie (highly recommend). We followed up with full glass and a charcuterie board. I love the ambiance & the wine selection is wonderful

We frequently go here for brunch. I have gotten a good number of items from the menu and I always go back to the chicken and waffles or the Cesar salad with crispy chicken on it. They do something to their waffles that makes them really crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside and I haven't experienced a texture like that before, they are very good here. You really can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu! As for the drinks, I always default to getting vodka.m here. I am a Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon kind of girl and I personally don't enjoy those wines here. Their rosé is good and I also enjoy getting the mimosas. Service is always good here as well.

Vinland's wine is not my favorite, but I guess I don't come here for the wine. Off the beaten path (literally - you'll find it tucked away behind an apartment complex) Vinland Winery has an inviting patio. The few times I've been seated on the patio there has been live music from local musicians. There is also plenty of seating inside if the weather is not great or if you want to reserve some space for a special event. The menu includes charcuterie boards that are perfect for sharing with a friend or two. There are also salads and handhelds like burgers and sandwiches. Glasses of wine are affordable ($5 to $9), and there seems to be something for almost everyone. They had a fruit wine on the menu during my most recent visit. They list their wines from sweet to dry on the menu, so if you're looking for something dry, look towards the bottom of the menu. There are also slushies, sangria, and beer available too. During my recent visit I tried the rose and the sauvignon blanc. The rose was good. I wasn't a fan of the sauv blanc. If you're hesitant on committing to a full glass of wine, there are wine flights where you get to choose four wines (2 oz each).

This place is gorgeous. The building is beautiful, and the inside is modern and not overdone. There's a cute small pond with geese or ducks (I wasn't sure which). And, the most important part, the food was fantastic. We came here for brunch, and we'll be back to try more! Nordic Chicken & Waffles - $18 - The chicken has a delicious brine, good crisp, and juicy throughout. It comes with hot honey, which is tasty and quite a kick to it. The waffles are not too dense but still crispy. It comes with maple cream cheese and candied cashews. Everything on this plate was fantastic. 5/5 stars. Huron Benedict - $22 - Tons of salmon in the patty, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise was good. Bread seems homemade, and it was well made and crispy. My only recommendation is to give a better knife to cut the bread. 5/5 stars. Cinnamon Roll - $6 - Decent flavor, but I wish there was a little more cinnamon inside the roll. The bread was nice and crispy. 4/5 stars. Service was good. The food was delicious. They said you can taste two of the wines for free, but I don't drink, so I skipped that. If you had a few mocktail choices, that would have been nice. Highly, highly recommend this place.

My family and I had a great time relaxing outside by the stage after eating our dinner at their spacious restaurant. My brother's band performed at the winery and we had a great time visiting with friends and listening to the live music. They have a broad menu with lots of yummy food and drinks! A bit pricey, but worth it! Service was great on the busy Saturday evening.

Can be a bit noisy, when tables of patrons forget they're not the only guests in the room, but not to the level that drowns out your own table conversation. Service is usually impeccable and Kiersten (our server the past 2 visits) exemplifies that: knowledgeable, attentive but not intrusive, kind, efficient, pleasant. Hubby had the not-your-ordinary wedge salad as a starter (pictured). Bacon, tomato, bleu cheese crumbles, hard boiled egg, and a creamy balsamic dressing. Very tasty! Me, always a sucker for good French onion soup (pictured), which I always order with no bread or croutons. Broth has authentic rich flavor with just the right amount of simmered onions. The only thing that might have made it even better would have been the use of Gruyere (or Swiss, instead of what seemed to be mozzarella) for the cheesy melt topping the delicious soup. Our chosen entrees tonight were the cashew crusted Mahi Mahi (pictured) served with orzo and fresh green beans, and the seared tuna (pictured) served on an umami blend of Napa cabbage and broccoli lightly dressed in sesame ginger, just-right heat, and peanuts. SO good! Oh...and you can see by the pics that the portions are well presented and generous enough to have some for lunch the next day! Truly a local fav! Great place for lunch or dinner!

I asked if they had a milkshake menu, but apparently corporate decided to get rid of the milkshake menu and make all the waiters recite the menu over and over again. How stupid is that? Reese's, Salted Honey Cinnamon, Strawberry - $7 - The best one was strawberry, and that's not saying much. Every milkshake was so watery that we were drinking flavored milk more than ice cream. The waitress even got my milkshake on my shoes. She apologizes about how watery it is, but that's it. She even says she'll bring over more napkins (cause it was dripping all down our cups too), but she forgot to come back with the napkins a few times, so it took a long time to get more napkins. At least they got rid of paper straws, cause at one point a few years ago, you couldn't even suck up the milkshake through the paper straws cause the paper straws disintegrated. Back then, I asked for a spoon, and they said they didn't have any. Now, back to today, the straws are plastic again, but I couldn't even suck up at Reese's cups cause they don't fit through the straw. At least this time I had a fork. What a disaster. Just don't go here. You wanna spend about $100 for 3 people to eat? What a waste of money. Small portions, overpriced, terrible quality. Oh, and some tables are sticky, even after the hostess cleans them.

I requested the creole sauce on the side as I wasn't sure what I was getting. I was pleasantly impressed with the "sauce" which was some of the best gumbo I have had. My husband had the coconut shrimp and was equally impressed. Our server was fun and knowledgeable, she let me know ahead that theirs was not your typical southern shrimp and grits. She was attentive without being too much. We love the atmosphere, the tables are not on top of each other and the decor was fun! We will definitely be back.

Lucky Moose (DuPont & Coldwater Roads) - big menu, seeming less flavors that I would expect…read more I have visited the Lucky Moose three times in the last 5 months. I have not posted as I have been collectively evaluating their products. The Lucky Moose is located in a strip mall on the south side of DuPont road across from Kroger. Most times there is plenty of lot parking. Though this can be a challenge on busy dine out nights when Ziano's, Cebolla 's and the Moose are busy. At times Lucky's has had a good 30 minute wait. I think this is less likely since Union Social opened up the street. The Moose has a very large and diverse menu. There is something for everyone. The service always seems to be friendly. The restaurant is fairly large with a smaller bar area. I personally find the booths, that seat four, to be somewhat small. This can be uncomfortable if you have have four adult diners. On this visit we started with the fried veggie basket. This, like other appetizers I've ordered here recently, seem to come out deeply fried and tough in texture. The inside veggies were soft and fresh. The pieces weren't very big. The breading was thick and slightly oily to taste. Overall, you don't get much flavor to go along with the thick, hard and a bit oily breading. My wife had the fish tacos. She said they tasted fresh. No fishy taste. She noted that the tacos lacked seasoning that would help distinguish this Lucky Moose product. This characterization is somewhat typical of other entrees I had here. The Lucky Moose has a good variety of selections that can be made into a pizza or flat bread (see attached picture). This option was about $16. The menu says it takes about 29 1/2 minutes to make. The waitress said to plan on 40 minutes - just be aware, which was okay with me! This pizza is a "deeper" dish pizza. I'm not sure I would call it true deep dish as that implies a style with certain expectations. This was really just a really thick pizza served in a deep dish style pan. The crust tasted like a biscuit. I'm not sure if that is unique to this more southern BBQ style dish or if all pizzas have this type of biscuit crust. I was really expecting a more traditional pizza style dough taste. The worst part of the crust was that it came out REALLY hard when eaten hot and fresh. This was so hard that I had toncutbitbwith a knife. This was very different as left overs which I will explain later. The sauce was a very mild BBQ flavor. It had a moderate amount of sweetness and very little spiciness. Not bad. The down side here is that the sauce dominated the chicken and cheese taste when served fresh and really hot - but not that way as left overs. The hot BBQ sauce was so prevalent that I couldn't detect any smoked chicken flavors. The mozzarella cheese flavors got buried in the hot temperature BBQ sauce also. Overall, I was not pleased with my dinning selection. However, this somewhat changed when it became leftovers. Cold Pizza Test - I normally save some pizza to eat for breakfast. My preference is to eat it without being reheated. However, this is a deeper dish product. So I microwaved the pizza, that had been refrigerated for about 32 hours, for 45 seconds. During this time the BBQ sauce "soaked" into the crust and really softened it up. The sauce took a back seat to the chicken and cheese. I could now detect a nice Smokey flavor in the moist chicken. The mozzarella now thickened and provided that nice bed of cheese that you'd expect on a pizza. The 45 second reheated product was very tasty. A softer crust and mild BBQ flavors that enhanced the chicken and cheese. I believe the dramatic difference was due to the overly hot temperature by which the original pizza was cooked. Just my opinion. You visit and make your decision.
