Scheduled a 6:30pm delivery on app at 5:00pm on a Wednesday night, with the obvious understanding that time is an estimate. Received a notification 10 minutes after scheduled delivery time that a doordash driver would be picking up order and estimated delivery was not until 7:23pm. Pappa John's Pizza was my go to for delivery pizza for almost 17 years. It always had a great taste and good quality. During the pandemic they started to lose their taste and quality, which I understood because of the circumstances, so I stuck with them until last year around this time. After not ordering from them for almost a year, I decided to give them a try today. I was terribly disappointed at how the quality of their pizza has declined. I ordered the works pizza and an 8 piece garlic parmesan wings. The pizza was garbage and the wings were tasteless. It's hard to find good quality delivery pizza nowadays. I ordered online, got a notification that my pizza was ready, drove down to pick it up, sat in the drive through waiting for someone to notice me, rang the bell for service, and one person looked over and looked away from me, no one ever came to check to see what I needed. Then I parked went inside, took almost 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me and I was the only person in the lobby, then one guy that was wearing ear buds came up and had zero customer service asked, "what do you want?" I told him I had a online order and had a notification it was ready, he looks around, walks around the kitchen area, comes back up and then said they have to remake it. Whoever the manager is has zero managerial experience and needs to be fired immediately, if there is no manager(which it didn't look like it since everyone was wearing headphones and not wearing gloves while playing on their phones, and making customers food. I rarely ever leave bad reviews, but this has to be one of them. Ordered pizza at 6 PM, called them almost 2 hours later when my order hadn't arrived. They said it had been delivered to the wrong place. They apologized and put in a new order. Finally, at 9.40 PM, the pizzas arrived, but by then, what's the point? When it's almost been 4 hours, that's incredibly bad service. And yes, I still had to pay with no reimbursement by the manager. They always deliver within the time that they give and are always very friendly. Might not be the best pizza in the world, but it keeps me very satisfied when I'm too lazy to cook. I placed an order online for this location. My account was charged, that money is gone. THEY say they never received an order. Had me call several other numbers just to get to someone that can SUPPOSEDLY help. They dont see an order and say they cant do ANYTHING. I let them know that my account was charged nearly $50 by Papa Johns. And they say there's NOTHING they can do about it. Papa Johns STEALS from customers and does not care about them at all. Got my delivery kinda late, and it was pretty expensive. All around mediocre experience.

I ordered pizza on the 1/7/15, it took forever to be delivered so I called the store to inquire as to when my pizza would arrive. The individual who answered apologized and told me that for my trouble she would put a credit for a large pizza on my account. She said I would have to call in because it would not be available online. Cool! I was satisfied and with kids a free pizza on a busy night is a nice Ace to have in the stack, right? Wrong! One week later 1/14/15 I call to redeem the free pizza and all of the sudden it has mysteriously disappeared into thin air. They can't even find a record of my order, then they put me on hold as I'm trying to track down the receipt. Found the receipt, called back, and was put on hold three times. Gave them all the info and suddenly they find the order, but still the pizza credit is AWOL. Nothing was offered to correct the situation, but "You can come in tomorrow and talk to the manager." If I have to go through all that, you've lost a customer. I will go in and talk to the manager tomorrow, but Papa John's (at least in Grandview) has lost my business for good. read more
