3 stars for being so quick and hot. And for delivering for my room, rather than me having to go jump in elevator and go downstairs. I order papa johns about once a decade so it'd been a while since I had some. I wish they would have cooked the pizza longer. It was a soft dough mess with sauce and mozzarella on top. Thankfully I had a couple of beers, so it helped. In 2030 when I order, I'll make sure to tell them to bake a bit longer for me. read more

If I could give it a lower star rating I would. I ordered a Delivery and When I received it I didnt have my drink my sauces and my pizza was demolished against one side of the box and the toppings for not even on the crust. When I called the store no one answered so I went on line and submitted a complaint. Hey the manager called me apologize offered me my order for free and a refund. This was on March 29th I have yet to receive my refund and I've called the store several times And was advised that there was no manager on site and that maybe I called the wrong Papa John's in town. We only have one Papa John's in town. I called back and spoke to the manager she said she had forgot to do the refund and it was taken care of. Days later still no refund and she told me it Had been refunded and when I asked her how much had been refunded she did not even give me a total close to what I had spent. I was advised to go online to chat and chat advised me to call the store back because they can only do the refund from the store. I called the manager once again. She was very rude and aggressive advised me that I could not have the corporate's phone number cause she didn't have it I requested for her manager to give me a call and she said that she would pass the information through but he probably wouldn't call me that I would just have to wait. I called my bank there is no refund submitted or is there one pending. I have been Waiting for my refund that's supposed to take three to five business days since March 29th it is now April 12th. This is the worst Papa John's I have ever ordered from. The manager is one of the rudest People have ever talked to and I have worked several years customer service and retention. The interaction started off with some hope but then went to "ohh I'm sorry I forgot" onto "It's already been taken care of on my end you just have to wait on your bank" from there to " There's nothing I can do" And ended at "I don't know our corporate phone number"... " You can't have my managers information"... "My manager probably won't call you but I'll push the information through." I still have not been contacted by her manager, about the last complaint I put in online or her. She was very unprofessional, an employee lied to me to get out of dealing with my call, and she blamed being busy when not resolving my issue the first time, she was then deflecting blame and avoiding responsibility, then had no accountability and was aggressive almost threatening like she was daring me to keep calling about the issue. She offered a resolution of my order and a refund and I was not able to deliver anything. Which left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never order from the store or any Papa John's for that matter again. She needs to take some anger management classes and Papa John's would be wise to dismiss her from the company. read more

Stopping for the night in the Virginia on our way south, this was really the only option that delivered. We were too tired to go out and we didnt want to leave the puppy in the hotel alone.... so pizza to the rescue. Or so we thought.... Took 3 tries to get someone to answer the phone. When we tried to order drinks they were out of water and most types of soda.... only had one option for beverages. really? Who runs out of beverages? When the pizza arrived (late) the very nice elderly gentleman that delivered it took it out of the bag vertically (was having trouble getting it out and kept shaking and pulling at it so all the toppings fell off and smooshed against the side of the box). That didnt matter because the pizza was practically raw when it arrived. Super undercooked. I am not sure what is in those "spice packets" they deliver with the pizza but a main ingredient was MSG so we skipped them. All in all I have to say this was my absolute worst pizza experience and in speaking to the locals at the hotel where we stayed - this is their normal. Wish we had asked for a recommendation BEFORE we ordered. Surprising given this is such a large chain in the USA. Lesson learned - ALWAYS ask the local hotel staff before ordering in from a local establishment. We will never be ordering from Papa Johns again. read more

We sat inside for an hour. When we went to the counter to check on our order, it hadn't been started. We got a refund and went to Pizza Hut.

We ordered a pizza from a person who didn't know what she was doing. To order it took 15-20 min on the phone. They said the order will take 25 min. On our way to pick it up Papa Johns Called and said , We're sorry but the restaurant is closed for the day. The worst experience in ordering on the phone I've ever had. It was hair pulling. Papa johns...there shouldn't be anything else...however, this location doesn't send your extras, just cares about your pizza. If that's ok w/you, yeah you... I get pissed when I pay for extras and don't get them. Called the store over an hour ago and was told by management that my extras would be sent on the last delivery, that didn't happen. 2 hrs later...they are closed now. BOO-OOO. You obviously care about your bottom line and profits and payroll...but not your customers...how long do you think you'll have customers, if you don't care/ or take care of them? Pizza is usually ok if they actually get the order right which most of the time they don't. And when, not if, when they don't get the order right, don't bother calling to let them know cuz they don't care, they won't fix it, it's apparently not their problem. Just take the pizza they gave you and eat it cuz that's what you get. Oh yeah, if you do decide to call, they'll leave you on hold for 10-15 minutes before talking to you. Had the same thing happen with dominos and they actually fixed the problem so lesson learned I guess. read more

We were passing through fairly late, like 7pm and wanted to have some pizza and crash. I called and spoke with Mike who was pretty funny as he told me he was from corporate and kinda joked he was the assistant manager with some flex. Anyway they forgot or kissed a portion of the order and then did make up for it with a small pizza that was delivered by Travis- who also was light hearted. Overall, I thought it was a bit much to have to argue about throwing in a small pizza after we were inconvenienced but they agreed And did follow up and see it through- sadly these days that is rare but I appreciate it. If I could leave less than one star I would. Told I would get a 10 cut x large pizza for a cost of $23--this was after trying to figure out whether I should get two mediums or large and a medium to feed five people. When the pizza was delivered, I handed out all the pizza to only four people. I got eight cuts and I called to explain the problem. The management was rude and did not rectify the situation. This is probably the worst customer service, I have ever received. I called and was put on hold. After 8 minutes I hung up and called back and got an answer, order was taken, 1 1/2 HOURS later. No delivery. I called back, I had given my credit card number on the phone. Dillian the manager, would not even take the time to see if anyone in his staff had taken the order. He was just rude, not even apologetic. I asked to speak to his manager and he says, i am the Manager and so I said who owns the store. He said he had no idea_ I asked how many people do you have in the store (employees). He said 6. I asked could you please go ask them who took my order and what they did with my credit card number, he said yes, put me on hold and after a wait another girl got on the phone. Dillian, decided to blow me off. The girl said yes he was a Manager, but not the general manager. Anyone can make a mistake, but instead of admitting it, got accused of calling the wrong number, the order is not in the system, so i never placed an order, etc In the meantime one of his employees has my credit card number and now i have to cancel the card, which is very inconvenient, since I am traveling from VA to TX. Maybe PaPa Johns has a scam going here????? If i had an Employee that took a credit card number, I would be a little more concerned about it. BEWARE of this Store read more

One star because their pizzas are unusually small for the price and VERY expensive. Also, there is better pizza to be had in Wytheville. Try CJ's instead. I have been to other Papa John's establishments and the food is much much better than at this location. read more

We came into Wythville about 8:30 pm to stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Malin Drive. Papa John's was recommend by the desk to deliver. There were no menus in the hotel so we had to go on line. I was having difficulty navigating the website so I called the local store. I was told they cannot honor the online discounts and I had to call customer service if I wanted the deal. I called customer service and figured out where I was going wrong on the website and the pizza was ordered at 8:55 pm. A large pepperoni with a three cheese blend. We were told it would take 30 to 45 minute. At 9:15 pm, 20 minutes after placing the order our pizza arrived. It was raw. As in the dough was goo and the cheese was not even melted raw. It was ordered at 8:55 and delivered at 9:15 from a store 6 minutes away. That means that it was less than 15 minutes from the time I ordered it to the time it left the store. We called immediately, wanted them to come get the pizza and refund out money. There was no way we were getting another pizza from them! We were told we had to call back tomorrow, not let me have the general manager call you, we had to call him in the morning. Seeing as we have better things to do on our vacation we called corporate. The manager was supposed to call us back on Friday after our vacation, today is now Saturday and I still have not heard a word. read more
