It was seat yourself, so we sat and it may have been a heavy part of the day but we were greeted eventually. We were asked for drinks orders, I asked for a coffee and water, my partner also ordered coffee and water, the rest of them ordered waters. After disbursing they then took our food order. Breakfast burrito for me, eggs Benedict for my partner, my kid had Valencia French toast, my other kid had the breakfast croissant sandwich, my in law had half order of biscuits and gravy with egg. The food came out, my in law went to cut into their biscuit and it was rock hard. My breakfast burrito was lacking flavor. The eggs Benedict was not homemade hollandaise sauce. The Valencia French toast was good but not very tangy or orange flavored unlike the description. The egg croissant was okay but the eggs looked like they were rubber. When I checked out, I asked for a blueberry muffin, bear claw, a blueberry danish and raspberry turnover. I assume it was the owner ringing me out because they seemed to act the owner but when they went to put the items in the bag, they had to excuse themselves to blow their nose. I am watching this all happen, but instead of washing his hands first, he reaches into the case with a parchment sheet hand no gloves to grab my blueberry muffin. Now why didn't I say no thank you after that, I didn't want to be rude. Maybe I should have, but either way I'm thinking that will be the last time I go here. Food was less than mid, the service was not stellar, I would try somewhere else if you're looking for good food. But if you're okay with what I listed above, go for it!!

We had several come to our table prior to ordering food to ask if we had any questions about the menu. We ordered the Chorizo Scramble and Homemade Quiche. We also had spicy Bloody Mary's. The Chorizo Scramble was good but not very spicy. The spicy Zooey Mary had more of a kick but overall it was still good. The Homemade Quiche came with home potatoes and toast. Both dishes were delish! On the table we noticed a summer Anniversary Special for an awesome price of $36! Take in or to go. Overall, a great visit and we can't wait to try the Anniversary Special.

Parking lot is on the small side and was quite full. Ambiance/Cleanliness-walking in through a very mid gift shop was not on my bingo card, but there we were. Well lit dining areas, spanning 50/50 indoor/outdoor. I'm not an al fresco fan. The inside had all the charm of a senior citizens dining hall and the fan overhead blasted us with quite cold air the whole time. The table wobbled and I couldn't fix it. 2 stars Service-decent, not overly warm or helpful, but not hostile either. The cashier handling my bill asked how everything was and I responded.."disappointing"...crickets..3 stars Food-I got iced tea and the carnitas benedict, mi dulcinea got ice water and the classic benedict...we both got potatoes as a side. The potatoes were good. I requested the cornbread be crisped both sides..only one was done. This was NOT carnitas, this was pulled pork..lacking in both texture and flavor. The eggs were perfect. The sauce also lacked any character, other than providing moisture. My girlfiend said her classic bennie was "ok". Tucson is a legit gastro city and this was THE weakest breakfast I have eaten here in four years. Never going back. 2 stars

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.
