Near the airport and multiple hotels, this lovely restaurant has plenty of parking in front and behind the building, with entrances on each side. Plenty of space in between tables with fast, friendly service. The food was made to order and served hot, with great flavor, texture, and mouthfeel. My only complaint was that when I went to use the restroom, there was no hot water, which concerns me. Did the rest of the place have hot water, or was it just the restroom? Breakfast and Brunches are best here and busy, especially on the weekends. This Jerry Bob's has a Mexican focus and lots of the standard American options. Came with a group of four, There was a small 20 minute wait. Hint: There is very limited seats for waiting. You can park out front but is tight, better option is parking in the back, more room and there is a back entrance. NO Handicap Parking, you have to do your best and the best option is in the back. Seating is table and both inside, no outside seating. Staff were great and friendly. Food was good and tasted great. Prices are reasonable. Not fancy, it is cafe style. No fancy drinks, just the basics. Portios were good. No issues splitting the check. I'd recommend trying the Mexican items, but American fair was great. read more

We stopped in this Jerry Bob's/Parra's near the airport today. Very impressed. The food was amazing. They have all the breakfast classics, and then some with a southwestern spin on it. My wife was torn between a dish that had an option of either machaca or chorizo, so they gave her both! And both were amazing. I had a breakfast plate and it came with incredible thick bacon. My brother had the tamales and said they were some of the best he's had. I can't say enough about how welcoming and warm the staff is. Actually, this was by far the friendliest staff I've ever had the pleasure of encountering. So, so attentive. It's a family run restaurant and they make you feel like family. The worst experience. First off, there was absolutely no decor. All white walls, a bit strange. There were people selling homemade donuts coming to the table. It was odd and I know is not compliant with food service operations.... However, that's only the tip of the experience. Finally got our drinks in and I looked up at the waitress, who said, "what? You didn't want whipped cream on the iced coffee? Need something else or something?" A few years back, when our friends suggested meeting up for breakfast at Jerry Bob's we couldn't say yes fast enough. We love finding small business non-chain types of places to eat all around the country. Had never even heard of the place but obviously all of the locals had as the place was packed. On our first visit, I remember liking the enchiladas a lot. On our most recent trip I decided to try an omelet. I went with the Tres Amigos and was not disappointed. It was really good, and the hash browns were crispy and delicious. Wheat toast on the side with jam hit the spot as well. I highly recommend stopping here the next time you're passing through Tucson. Go there, get your name on the list, and enjoy some tasty options from their menu. read more

First, this restaurant is right around the corner from the Tucson Airport and right next to Denny's restaurant. Came in and sat at the bar because there was a small wait for a party of two. Ordered some coffee and it was fresh, hot, & delicious. Next, we ordered their menudo and let me just tell you it's definitely one of the BEST I've tasted. I will definitely be back to try other dishes. The almost all female staff was amazing! Watching them work so effortlessly and efficiently was something to behold. They were quick with service and watching the kitchen chefs working was something amazing, too. As I mentioned in my original review, I did quickly return to try the aforementioned Chicken Fried Steak. As I suspected from observing it on the original visit, it was amazing. It was huge, thin and crispy as well as covered in a delicious white gravy. I had grits as an included side along with toast and wasn't able to finish the whole meal-and I tried! So Jerry Bob's is almost ubiquitous here in the Old Pueblo. Low key breakfast and lunch, typical American fare. ( Some places also serve dinner hours.) I had never been to this one before but I was hungry and close by. It's typical inside , nothing fancy , but clean. First the staff are really friendly and great and you can even have some chit chat. Excellent service. Second, this particular establishment has a lot of Mexican dishes including different soups on different weekdays but menudo daily! I love menudo. However I was hungry for regular breakfast so I had 2 eggs scrambled with ham, wheat toast, and home fries. Everything was good especially the home fries. Next time I will get them "loaded " with cheese, peppers, onions. Coffee with free refills too. Price was right and my belly was full. What else can you expect? I have always loved Jerry Bob's and haven't had a bad experience until now. My partner and I put our name down on the waitlist for 2. There was another party of 2 who came in after us. However, they were seated before us even after they told the employee that we were first. She looked at us and seated them anyways. I also noticed that when the employee was seating other guests that she was just pointing to their table from across the restaurant instead of guiding them to their table. The guests seemed to be confused as well. The wait time was not an issue at all but the way she was sitting people was rude and inconsiderate. For those that don't know Jerry Bob's - they are all over Tucson. I was digging around about it to see if they were owned by different people since the locations I have frequented all have a different vibe... and surprise this local chain started in Colorado? Anyway... THIS location is by far my favorite and the best hands down in my subjective opinion. My husband has been coming here since we moved here in 2005; early on as a work tradition before they would head out to the field. I have ventured down to this location (even though I have one closer to my house in Vail) when traveling or just because they are the best. Service is always super friendly, I think the whole family works here... or family and friend conglomerate? At any rate, I have always received five star service from this five star diner-esque establishment. Made to order their breakfasts are delicious, my favorite is the green chile/cheese omelet. My husband loves the Square meal or Huevos Garcia. If you are ever meandering down around the airport, pop in and give this group some love as they are locally owned and such a great group of people. I purchased the ground beef tacos dorados from a Mexican-owned restaurant, but unfortunately, they lacked flavor. The beans and ground beef both tasted burn with burnt pieces of ground beef. When I brought this to the waitress and the owner's attention. I requested a refund, I was told that I still had to pay for the tacos. It was baffling to me how I was being charged for food that I couldn't even consume. The waitress informed me that the owner was indifferent to my concerns and insisted on charging me for the tacos. I re-ordered the tacos with the intention to donate them to a homeless Since I had to pay for them. I wish they had one of these where I live! The food was affordable and the service was great. It's kind of a strip mall local diner like spot and when you come in you are told to find any spot to sit and that's where you sit. Had a lunch and a dinner here and it was sooooo good. I suggest you just look at what is going past you on other's plates to see what's popular (the Menudo was a big seller as was the waffles) and consider ordering that or just go for what you like on the menu. I wasn't too thrilled with the corn beef hash I had (it was too salty and looked like it came out of a can) but everything else we ate was great. If you are in the area just go and enjoy! read more
