To drink, I had the Old Lady Abbeville (angel's envy bourbon, akashi ume plum whiskey, plum liqueur, steens, orange bitters) which was a delicious take on an Old Fashioned. To eat, we shared these dishes: - Japanese Potato Salad (ordered without bacon to make it vegetarian): with sake pickles, crispy onion, scallion. This was really delicious, but I do wish the sake pickles had been more prominent. - Sesame Broccolini: with chili flake, pickled scallion, citrus garlic crisp, and benne seed dressing. This was my favorite item of the night, with an amazing depth of flavor. - Vegetable Tempura: eggplant, lotus root, ginger pickled carrot, and tempura sauce. It ended up coming with mushrooms instead of the ginger pickled carrot. My favorite was the eggplant! - Mushroom Skewer: with truffle and benne. Probably my least favorite item of the evening. - Baby Bell & Mochi Skewer: with potato chips and collard green aonori. Really rich and yummy with a good contrast of texture thanks to the potato chips. Overall we had a great experience with great food and excellent service in a beautiful, modern space.

We were able to sit, visit, order and eat, have birhday cake (which we brought), open presents and not feel rushed or pressured tp leave the establishment. There are 4 resturants, a cheesecake vendor and a full bar insde the open air building all sharing the same dining space. My husband and I went back this afternoon for an early dinner . Over the two days we shared, nachos (loaded with bacon, chicken, cheese, and chives) a hamburger and fries, korean bbq and hibachi chicken. All were extremely tasty, with the exception of the Korean bbq, which was just OK. We went back for the hibachi chicken it was good good. You prder at onw of the 4 counters ,pay and are given a number to pur on your table. They then bring the food to your table. Utensils are self-service and you bus your own table, but are still encouraged to tip when ordering. My veggie bowl was fine. One member of our party reported that her burger was bland even though it was swimming in cheese sauce and had extra jalapeños. Positives: the seven of us ate from 3 different vendors. Most people enjoyed their food. Street parking was easy and I saw a sign saying free parking in the back. Cocktails are available from one vendor, and they have a trivia night. The atmosphere was lively but not super loud. I think adding a few more vendors and doing some deep cleaning would bring this place up to a 4. I plan to return to try the sushi.

I was fortunate to be with a large party and we decided to order several dishes and share. Everything was delicious, and the banana flower salad was memorable and we ordered two. I think my cocktail was called the Tokyo Pop? Not positive but you have to get it. Gin, bubbles, sake, and a hint of lemon in a flute glass. Refreshing, a hint of sweet, a hint of lemon, and extremely drinkable. It would be too easy to throw a ton of these back. But I was demure and had one. I enjoyed the calamari--my go-to here. Crispy, with a bit of heat from pickled peppers, a bit a of sweet form a sweet glaze, and a nice herby zing from mint, herbs, and scallions. They also top the calamari with a a nice portion of greens dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, making this appetizer feel close to a light meal. I am absolutely obsessed with the ponzu mayo that comes on the side. An absolutely delightful touch. I also enjoyed the chocolate cream pot. Talk about decadent. I love that it is served with berries, because you need that tartness to balance out the richness. Fully indulgent. Bonus points: I working fireplace. (And holiday decor still up--this never bothers me.) The ambiance is always lovely, with something iconic on the TV always playing. This spot is one of my fave representation of the Louisville food scene.

Especially for a girl who grew up eating rice and eggs as a staple. There is a parking lot so don't waste your time searching for street parking. And if you have kids there is a parking across the street.
