So I went here again, the first time wasn't a bad experience but this time the food made both my partner & I's stomach hurt!!! I ordered tom yum soup & it was a surprise due to it being Japanese based but with a Thai item. I had mentioned that the chicken was a bit odd & rubbery but my partner suspected it was probably like that since it might've been cooked inside the soup so I ate it all & boy did I have a scene on the toilet! We both ordered sushi & my go to is Philly roll for my love of salmon & my partner ordered maki combo entree, both of our rolls gave generous amounts of fish & very well presented so I think their rolls are decent for their price as well, but I will no longer steer from the sushi!! I feel like I'm still finding my way with Ginza. Their dishes are likable, but I don't love them and definitely not as much as other restaurants. My number one item is the egg roll, sold individually. I'm not even an egg roll fan and I could eat these as my meal. The dumplings were also good. If you like wonton soup, theirs is flavorful. For dinner I tried the sweet and sour chicken and the general tso chicken. The sweet and sour is heavily breaded. The general's was a bit bland, which is my fault asking for it mild. Service was so friendly. Our food was out quickly and hot. I want to return to Ginza, but when I revisit I will be trying their chicken fried rice or hibachi grill options. Came in for the first time on a slow Saturday afternoon. They serve their lunch specials even on the weekend so that is nice. 2 adults and 1 kiddo ordered: egg drop soup, chicken hibachi with rice and veggies, Hunan chicken lunch, the Louisville roll, the pink lady, and the gyoza. The egg drop soup was good but not great. Was a bit bland and didn't have the savoriness I feel usually accompanies it. The gyoza was only okay and I wouldn't order it here again. The child's portion of hibachi was large and also delicious. My husband devoured his Hunan Chicken with no complaints. He did say it had a little spice which he enjoyed. The pink lady roll was okay. But the Louisville Roll was excellent. Very good and I would come back just to get that! Service was also good. She was great with the refills and brought extra napkins for our toddler. Stopped here for lunch, thinking it couldn't be THAT busy... but lo and behold this place was popping! Turns out that on Monday and Tuesday all sushi is half off! Can you believe? I ordered food to go and watched as people came in and out. I checked out their drink menu, which looked really yummy, with the first cocktail on the list being pina colada (regular or reduced fat, y'all!) which I am always a sucker for. The interior was pretty clean and well-maintained. The service was so friendly--I was greeted right away. The food was ready relatively quickly considering how busy they were. The sushi looked gorgeous. I also got egg custard sushi as a lil'snack for my afternoon. It was all pretty good and fresh, but not exactly brag-worthy. Although I got three different rolls with different seafood in it, it all tasted pretty similar. I haven't been here in a long time. They give a discount on their sushi on Mondays and Tuesdays. I got their egg drop soup and I enjoyed it. Their side ginger salad has a nice zingy flavor. Their sushi is wonderful. They have a large variety of different types of sushi. I got the dorsey and angry dragon and both were fantastic. 2 of us got the green curry and they pack tons of ingredients. They give you a large portion of tempura chicken and veggies. Hate say this but the experience was not the best. I enjoyed the miso soup and ginger salad dressing on iceberg lettuce (kind of weird but there something ridiculously refreshing of an iceberg lettuce with ginger dressing). From there the sake don was just meh. The cut of the salmon was chunky instead of on the bias and just stacked on the sushi rice, so for me the presentation was just not working. Then my order of amaebi was wrong and instead of letting me know ahead of time the server just said they had run out. As far as service went it was fine and overall it was ok. I got the crazy roll, the shrimp tempura roll, and the Alaskan roll, with crab rangoon as an appetizer. The food was good. The crab rangoons tasted good as did all the rolls. The shrimp tempura roll was really good and the Alaskan roll was alright too. The crazy roll was good, although it was a bit doughy. The best part is that all 3 of these rolls only net me about $20, and if I hadn't gotten a specialty roll, it would've been a lot cheaper. The lunch special prices are so good here that I would come regardless of the quality, but the quality is good too! The environment was nice with a lot of space and ample seating. The servers were friendly and very attentive. It was a good dining experience. All in all, Ginza is a great place to get good food at a very affordable price. Prices are unbeatable. I ordered the pink something roll, red snapper sushi, and the spring rolls. There was a mistake with my order so I inadvertently got a miso soup and salad as well. The spring rolls were delicious and come served with sweet chili sauce, which is my sauce choice for that sort of thing. Crispy outside, crunchy inside, really good. The salad dressing was different than I was used to, I'm used to more of a ginger dressing. This had a ginger feel to it but definitely missed with something else, but was super tasty. Really enjoyed it. Miso soup was good, but that pretty standard. The red snapper stole the show. REALLY good. I'm from the west coast and usually get albacore but I'm finding that hard to come by this half of the US. Tried the snapper for the first time and would definitely get it again. As for the roll, it was just ok. Something was off about it, like maybe the pink soy paper? I usually get soy paper on my rolls so I'm used to it really not having a taste, but something was different here. Other thing to note, their eel sauce, isn't a traditional eel sauce, it is more of a teriyaki sauce which is not my preference. Service was great. Quick seating by hostess and immediate menu served. Note on mentioned days you get 3 additional menus that point the promotional prices. It gives you a long choice of sushi rolls and sashimi. The rolls I got were ok - not particularly beautifully done and not much flavor. I have only tried their Chinese so far. I went with their garlic chicken, which was pretty good. It came with a heaping portion of vegetables and rice. After drinks we were able to order food pretty quickly. I had the seaweed salad, gyoza, egg drop soup, fried rice and red bull roll. The gyoza wasn't awful and the egg drop soup was as expected. The seaweed salad had huge stalks in it which is not typical. The rice was not seasoned at all and the roll was lacking overall. I ordered Szechuan chicken. So yum! My mom ordered pad Thai, while my sister ordered pad kee mow with tofu, and my dad got teriyaki salmon. Everyone enjoyed their food! The portions were huge! They weren't doing lunch portions so we got a lot of food to take home with us. They serve soup and/or salad before the meal. I had both a soup and salad and was pretty full by the time my meal came. The salad is pretty unique. It comes with a ginger dressing, which the server mentioned has fruits blended into it. No wonder it's yummy! Parking is ample. There are a few spots out front, but more to the side and the back of the building. Im sure I'll return again sometime! Nothing blew your socks off, except everything I ordered was fresh and presented on the plate as you would find in a high end sushi bar. I was in the mood for Thai and they came through with a tasty basil dish. I am from Miami and would have paid with tip close to a hundred dollars. Super friendly service and always willing to comply with any request. I was solo this evening. And it's not a place that you would want to take a first date.
