I've lived in Radcliff, Kentucky for over 35 years. "Good Taste" has always been my go to takeout Chinese food in the area. And I have been to every Chinese place in the area. The food is always good. Over the years there's been a few blips. No place is perfect but 99.5% of the time it's been delicious. They are very direct in their manner of customer service. It's not all warm fuzzy. So if you get your feelings hurt easily then you might need to prepare yourself. But they're not mean or hateful. They're just direct. I like that it's so it's OK with me. Lo mein is amazing. They use real lo mein noodles not spaghetti. There's shrimp and broccoli is amazing as well as chicken or beef and broccoli. Fried rice is good. read more

We finally found our favorite Chinese takeout spot! The restaurant was clean when we walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered vegetable lo mein, it was outstanding! So full of flavor and the box was filled as much as possible. We also got sesame chicken and chicken on a stick, both were great, especially the sesame chicken! I didn't care much for the crab Rangoons, they weren't very crunchy. They actually were better in the oven the next day haha. Overall, incredibly happy with our food and experience. So, to help some people out that may read reviews from a year ago, they Do Have Inside Dining. The service here was great. Staff was attentive and polite, very helpful. I personally didn't care for the taste of the food. They did a great job preparing the food hot and fresh; but I believe I have found quite possibly the worst tasting Hot and Sour soup around. I've had some I didn't like before but always ate it. This one... Nope! I couldn't choke it down. Not that it wasn't fresh, the recipe is horrid. My Moo Goo Gai Pan, wasn't much better, but it was edible. Fried rice, maybe. Not sure that it was fried and almost zero vegetables in it. The only thing that my family did enjoy was the Sweet and Sour Chicken and White Rice, and long as you skip their sauce. Oh, they did have the best egg roll. Fresh hot and crispy, and just the right firmness to the cabbage. Another review said they found their new favorite Chinese restaurant... me, not so much; but I'm glad the people in Radcliff like it. read more

Yes I read the reviews on this place prior to stopping by today and I'm really glad that I did. I'm fairly new to this area and always have a difficult time finding good places to eat so relying on other people's recommendations is a huge plus. I've had the opportunity to dine at a number of Chinese restaurants in NYC's Chinatown while growing up in New Jersey. I also lived & worked in the Bay Area and enjoyed some of the best Chinese cuisine in San Francisco. And as some of you can appreciate I've had some of the worst food at those cookie cutter places where everything looks the same including the pictures on the walls! Hang with me for just a little bit longer I assure you it's all good. So I Wazed myself to the location and was surprised that the doors were open and I could actually walk in to order. Others had mentioned that this was a drive up only but the owners recently opened up the dining room. It's very basic so don't expect much ambience, the second thing I noticed were those 'food pictures' above the counter and lastly I found myself looking at the same menu with the exact same choices that I've seen in every single storefront Chinese restaurant I've ever been in. Not a good vibe but I was hungry and something about the aromas emanating from the kitchen convinced me to give it a try. I ordered Hot & Sour soup, Fried Dumplings and the combo meal of Shrimp with Garlic Sauce that included Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. I am not kidding when I tell you that the food was EPIC! Everything including the crispy noodles that came with the soup was amazing. All the ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection and didn't all taste the same! The shrimp were perfect and as fresh as if they came out of the water this morning, I can't wait to go back and try something else and anyone who enjoys well cooked Chinese cuisine should definitely try this place out! read more

Tried this restaurant out the last time I was in Radcliff. It doesn't look that inviting from the outside, but they have good, hot food that is delicious. We had enough to have at least another meal for each person. We got it to go and everything was still hot by the time we got it home, too. read more

Loved this place but have to avoid now because they use msg in their food. I am not sure when that changed but for me it's money wasted. The food was delicious and did not need the enhancement. Quick little Chinese take-out restaurant, even though they do have a dinning area with tables and chairs. Food taste good- small portions, but price not bad. Store seems a bit on the dirty side- can see into kitchen and does not appear to be the most sanitary place. Enjoy the Pork Egg Too Young - brown gravy is the bomb. General TSO's Chicken is good. Surprising diamond in the rough in Radcliff. Looking at the place you think that it is a run down place especially since it is easy to miss the sign. Someone recommended the place and we checked it out. We were surprise by how good the food was. I had the Three Delights and it was cooked well, the vegetables were fresh and steam perfectly, and the meats were good. I really liked the food here and will be back. I recommend it, I think is the best Chinese food in the area. Don't be intimidated or put off by the exterior look. Service is decent and fast and the food is good. ***Updated*** I read some of the reviews and noticed the mention of their inspection rating. Good Taste doesn't look like much when you see the building, but the food is phenomenal! The menu has so many items and the portions are big. I love the sesame chicken and lo mein. It is my favorite place to get Chinese food in Radcliff. I even prefer it over some of the "popular" spots in Elizabethown. read more

For 15+ years I have been ordering from Good Taste in Radcliff. I can remember this food sustaining me through my college classes; through my break ups; through my weekly cravings for Chinese ( my favorite food ). I have never once ordered from Good Taste in my 15+ years and not received good service and fantastic food. For anyone to have misfortune at this restaurant is truly a misfortune. I've ordered at least 50 times from this place and have had amazing food and amazing service each and EVERY time. Thank you so much for what you do and the service you provide. Update*** Now you can order and receive fried rice at dinner time too. Also, we just noticed their "diet menu." One that menu you can choose a steamed dish that contains no corn starch, or sugar. They serve your dish with a light ginger sauce. I ordered the chicken and broccoli. My order came with just steamed chicken and broccoli in a container, and in a separate container they give you ginger sauce. The chicken and broccoli was good. I don't believe however that I received the ginger sauce with no sugar or corn starch. Maybe it was a new person working that night? I'm going to give them another try however with these diet dishes, and specify no sugar in the ginger sauce. read more

There is nothing fancy about this restaurant, but the food is always reliable and good. I have never ordered anything I didn't like, and my picky husband likes their sweet and sour chicken. When you walk up to the front door of this place there is a big sign on it stating their grade from the Health Department. When I went there it was rated at a 60% and had to be re-checked again in 30 days. That's all I needed to see and left. If Jerry's J-Boy can get a 90% the way that place looks I shudder to think of what goes on at Good Taste Chinese Food. read more

Great find, clean place that smells like food not grease! The Kung Po Chicken rocks as does the General Tso. My wife is a House Fried Rice fan so we tried that as well as the Chicken with mixed Vegetables. Been back 5 times on 2 weeks and that's a record for us. Always friendly and quick preparation. I order take out here a couple times a week. I order the same Singapore rice noodles every time. They are cheaper than others and there is no comparison on taste. They make it however you ask. If I tip on a to go order one must know I am happy with the food and the great family that runs it. Keep up the good work! read more

The food was good, (which is why I added that extra star) but the service was absolutely terrible. From the moment we walked in we were not acknowledged, when ordering we asked a question about the wings, the register lady responded as if it was a dumb question and than rolled her eyes at my mother and I. Off the bat I was not impressed, food took awhile to get to is which I wasn't to worried about, because it did come out fresh. However when the server lady came to our table we asked for to-go plates and utensils, we sat there, as we assumed she would get them and bring it back. She did not respond and went about her business. After 5 minutes later we saw her on her phone and I went up to ask for the items we had been missing she rolled her eyes again and felt bothered that we the customers needed assistance. ABSURD. Like I mention the food was good. But the service definitely ruined it. Unfortunately it was my first and last time there. Customer service is key. I will take my business elsewhere. read more
