This place is a little pricey, but the selection is great, the flavors were spot on and the service was good. It is unfortunate that they only take cash, but at least they give you fare warning before you go in. The inside is really a throw back to a soda shop, which is nice, but it is a little tight when the crowds meet you there. So why not 4 stars? This is my new favorite ice cream spot of all time. They have 2 flavors weekly of Only 8 soft serve, you can also do a swirl of whatever the 2 flavors are for the week. They also serve Hershey's ice cream for those who care to indulge. The atmosphere is a fifties style soda shop and they have cupcake specials on specific days of the week. Unfortunately they close on October 30th for the season, however they have an email list where you can come in once per month over the winter months and buy only 8 by the quart to hold you over until the warm weather begins again. My new favorite Warwick ice cream place! We just moved into the area so, of course, now that it's summer we are trying out some ice cream places to find "the one." And I think we found it on the first try! Papa's is awesome. Quick service, outdoor seating, drive-through window (seriously??), and SO MANY FLAVORS. I'm just going to keep trying each and every flavor until I find one that will be my favorite. So far, everything I've tried has been awesome. Hershey's ice cream at a great price. Got a small maple walnut cone for about $3. It had 2 good sized scoops of ice cream on it. Awesome!! They have soft serve as well. Just came here for the first time. My daughter received a coupon for a free soft serve from the Warwick Library for participating in their summer reading program. What a great ice cream parlor! There's plenty of parking and a nice outdoor seating area. There's even a drive thru. Inside is decorated in pink and there are so many choices of ice cream flavors. All Hershey brand ice cream. Took the family to papa's for desert on a Saturday evening. The ice cream was really good, service was friendly and we utilized there drive thru...which for an ice cream stop was pretty cool. I think I was most impressed with the fact that from the road this looked like a basic ice cream stand but there is actually seating inside. The place is much bigger than you would expect and the ice cream flavors offered are astounding. So many unique varieties and they allow you to sample a few to make the best choice. Came with my 6 year old because she got a free soft serve cone from the local library. Never been before and was overwhelmed by the number of available flavors!!!
