An ice cream shop that's inside! Very unique atmosphere with plenty of flavors to choose from. My favorite flavor is dire wolf tracks but you can't go wrong with any of them! Staff is super friendly and what I love is if you eat there, it's served like you're at a diner! Plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside. Love this place!

The Keep is insanely delicious. Located in a convenient strip mall I have always enjoyed going in for a small scoop. The inside is medieval themed and the addition of free water is always welcomed at ice cream places. The girls who scoop the ice cream are incredibly kind and accommodating if you'd like to try a flavor, of which there are plenty. Many ice creams are made in house which leads to high quality and interesting flavors. I've tried the ooey gooey and blueberry cheesecake. My favorite is the ooey gooey as the cream cheese ice cream base is sweet but tangy and the butter cake is perfectly done. The blueberry cheesecake had a nice mascarpone base but I felt the toppings needed a little more flavor to be perfect. Definitely try all the flavors though! My only complaint is the goblets they serve the ice cream in- they don't have sides which makes scooping the ice cream a challenge. However, this is still a 5/5 place!

This place was interesting. It was packed even though they were about to close. Very dated "grandmas livingroom" decor/aesthetic. There's a lot of talking a movement going on around the ice cream which I did not like. All the employees are highschool girls. They look like apart of a volleyball team. Very short volleyball shorts they all wore. Lots of older men tipping getting ice cream without kids or families. I'm thinking it must be delicious! It was mid. Cold Stone tastes better. Me and my friend were just passing by and I wanted ice cream so I didn't think much of it. I'm not sure where we were or what the neighborhood was. Literally the only thing of color for miles was the chocolate ice cream. Not a diverse area whatsoever and the staff and patrons show it, which is fine. Hey, what's not for you is not for you, but I did feel out of place and stood out like a sore thumb. I will say when I got to the counter, the young lady that served me was very nice even though she was busy she allowed me to taste a few things and gave recommendations. I forgot what I settled on. It was not cheap and I also tipped the girls $5. I remember working fast food in highschool. I don't miss it. They seem to be having fun though. Overall, the ice cream was not unique. It's giving popularity for another reason.

Found this great place by accident in Cumberland!! Such a creative space for an homemade ice creamery! Game of tyrines , dungeons @ dragons kinda theme with an actual round table room you can play board games while you eat. The ice cream is great and they give great size portions!! It's smells so good the minute you walk in. Plenty of help at the counter & they are all super nice! Definitely worth trying if you're an ice cream lover :) right next door to Chops too .

Coffee and open sesame !!! Absolutely delicious

Don't sleep on the Keep!!!! This is the best ice cream I have ever had, and I've had a lot Everything is homemade from the cookie dough in the ice cream to the blueberry cheesecake to the chocolate crunchies to the carrot cake It's a little pricey but you definitely get your moneys worth in size and quality This is how you do ice cream Once you come here everywhere else is just inferior!!!

This is a long overdue review for The Keep's ice cream! My first visit ever was during their last weekend of the 2022 season, and it's a national tragedy that I have to wait until they reopen for the 2023 season later in spring. The TLDR is that their homemade ice cream is amazing, they have a zillion toppings to choose from, and you can even combine scoops if your debating between flavors! The team behind the counter was so nice and patient with me when I told them it was my first visit. They let me sample a bunch of flavors--which normally makes it easier to decide...but in this case it didn't because they were all so good! I landed on combining two flavors: the Honey Bee and the Game of Cones. The Honey Bee is a honey ice cream with generous chunks of a crunchy house-made honeycomb that melts in your mouth and is unlike anything else I've ever tried. So much so that I still remember it months after the fact! The Game of Cones is a riff on Americone Dream with chocolate covered waffle cone pieces swirled throughout. I added chocolate chips on top because why not? Counting down the days until they reopen in the spring!!

Great location, great ice cream!! I love ice cream so much and this hit the spot! Lots of flavors to try and they let you sample which I love and appreciate! The small was a generous portion so be hungry!

They have windows on multiple sides of the building and a fair amount of outdoor seating. The young woman at the window enthusiastically took on my request for her favorite scoop. She presented me with a cone of strawberry cheesecake ice cream and mentioned she scooped it to have extra graham cracker swirl, which is her favorite part. Love that! Because of the heat, I opted to eat my ice cream in the car. This ice cream packs a punch in sweetness. Between the cheesecake, the graham cracker swirl and the strawberry mixed in, this is a sweet tooth's dream cone. While sweeter than my preference usually, I did enjoy this cone down to the last bite! My one complaint is that there were very few tables, so we had nowhere to sit to eat our ice cream. There was one family that had long since finished their ice cream just lingering and taking up space at the few tables. This isn't the fault of the business, but it does highlight the lack of seating available. Even a few bar height tables to lean on would have been better.

They've been churning out ice cream (pun intended) for almost 50 years. Today was my first time going inside the shop. In past times, I had ordered at the window. The inside is small but packs in a lot! Candy and other treats line the walls, a beautiful display of fudge and hand dipped chocolate goodies right in front of you. The young ladies at the counter were very nice, and accommodated my request for their favorite. For this shop, I was told the cookie butter flavor was everyone's current #1. I also got some apple flavored crocodile gummies and I was on my way. The cookie butter surprised me. I expected it to be very sweet, but instead the ice cream had some lovely deep caramel notes from the cookie butter and the big chunks of speculoos cookies were soft and easy to eat without being overwhelmed by sugar. Once again another great trip to the Ice Cream Machine and a reminder to not wait so long before I visit again.
