Very unique atmosphere with plenty of flavors to choose from.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorite flavor is dire wolf tracks but you can't go wrong with any of them! Staff is super friendly and what I love is if you eat there, it's served like you're at a diner! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love this place!

The Keep is insanely delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in a convenient strip mall I have always enjoyed going in for a small scoop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is medieval themed and the addition of free water is always welcomed at ice cream places.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The girls who scoop the ice cream are incredibly kind and accommodating if you'd like to try a flavor, of which there are plenty. Many ice creams are made in house which leads to high quality and interesting flavors. I've tried the ooey gooey and blueberry cheesecake. My favorite is the ooey gooey as the cream cheese ice cream base is sweet but tangy and the butter cake is perfectly done. The blueberry cheesecake had a nice mascarpone base but I felt the toppings needed a little more flavor to be perfect. Definitely try all the flavors though! My only complaint is the goblets they serve the ice cream in- they don't have sides which makes scooping the ice cream a challenge. However, this is still a 5/5 place!

It was mid. Cold Stone tastes better. Me and my friend were just passing by and I wanted ice cream so I didn't think much of it. I'm not sure where we were or what the neighborhood was. Literally the only thing of color for miles was the chocolate ice cream. Not a diverse area whatsoever and the staff and patrons show it, which is fine. Hey, what's not for you is not for you, but I did feel out of place and stood out like a sore thumb. I will say when I got to the counter, the young lady that served me was very nice even though she was busy she allowed me to taste a few things and gave recommendations. I forgot what I settled on. It was not cheap and I also tipped the girls $5. I remember working fast food in highschool. I don't miss it. They seem to be having fun though. Overall, the ice cream was not unique. It's giving popularity for another reason.

Game of tyrines , dungeons @ dragons kinda theme with an actual round table room you can play board games while you eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ice cream is great and they give great size portions!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's smells so good the minute you walk in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of help at the counter & they are all super nice! Definitely worth trying if you're an ice cream lover :) right next door to Chops too .

Don't sleep on the Keep!!!! This is the best ice cream I have ever had, and I've had a lot Everything is homemade from the cookie dough in the ice cream to the blueberry cheesecake to the chocolate crunchies to the carrot cake It's a little pricey but you definitely get your moneys worth in size and quality This is how you do ice cream Once you come here everywhere else is just inferior!!!

This is a long overdue review for The Keep's ice cream! My first visit ever was during their last weekend of the 2022 season, and it's a national tragedy that I have to wait until they reopen for the 2023 season later in spring. The TLDR is that their homemade ice cream is amazing, they have a zillion toppings to choose from, and you can even combine scoops if your debating between flavors! The team behind the counter was so nice and patient with me when I told them it was my first visit. They let me sample a bunch of flavors--which normally makes it easier to decide...but in this case it didn't because they were all so good! I landed on combining two flavors: the Honey Bee and the Game of Cones. The Honey Bee is a honey ice cream with generous chunks of a crunchy house-made honeycomb that melts in your mouth and is unlike anything else I've ever tried. So much so that I still remember it months after the fact! The Game of Cones is a riff on Americone Dream with chocolate covered waffle cone pieces swirled throughout. I added chocolate chips on top because why not? Counting down the days until they reopen in the spring!!

Awesome experience! It's great to be waited on by people that share the same enthusiasm for as you do. After many recommendations from friends, we decided to give it a try. I ordered a 2 scoop 1st flavor Tiramisu and 2nd the Biscoff cookie butter. Both fantastic! Add some PB topping and what seems like is the coolest topping of the summer so far, Strawberry shortcake crumble was on top! I had the Black raspberry chip And Mocha chip. Black raspberry chip was amazingggg! They have cool, unique flavors. They also had Homemade sugar cones which my son got with the Cotton candy flavor he really enjoyed it. There's a decent amount of parking which I like. We love the Keep! Delicious homemade ice cream on Mendon Rd in Cumberland. It's open seasonally and has great high quality ice cream! So fun and interesting flavors - but always the basics. The staff and service is friendly and fast! The line was out the door on Mother's Day! The finest quality homemade ice cream. My family and I drive 30 minutes to go here and get excited every time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have seating for parties large and small, though they fill up quickly in the summer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a side area that sits 8 comfortably and has games and books - great for kids young and old.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We have wiled away quite a fe nights over Dire Wolf tracks and chess. Their honeycomb ice cream is their best seller for a reason. If you like honey, you've got to try it! read more

They have some gluten free options for the Celiac community. They will take precautions and pull a new tub of ice cream with a clean scoop & explain what steps they take. My favorite so far is the Honey Bee flavor, which is their popular flavor. Crunchy and sweet with a not overpowering flavor of honey!!! read more

I love this place. I won't even waste my time going to any other ice cream shop at this point. Homemade ice cream, y'all! Every flavor I've tried is amazing, but I do have two favorite flavors.... Blueberry cheesecake and ooey gooey! The sizes do run big.... I usually get a kiddie or a small, and that is plenty! So many toppings, the options are almost endless. The staff are always so pleasant and friendly, and I am always looking forward to going back for more! read more

Yum! The homemade ice cream did not disappoint. I greatly enjoyed the mocha chip and my daughter loved the strawberry. The portions were generous for the price. The shining star was the chocolate sorbet. Chocolate sorbet often has a weird aftertaste and this has none. Even though this is a bit of a drive for us, we will definitely be back so my lactose-intolerant husband can enjoy yummy treats. He's looking forward to trying the peanut butter sorbet too. The decor is... Odd. The medieval theme is not what you would expect from an old school ice cream shop. The walls are too dark for what should be a fun occasion and the knight, unicorn head, and other decorations are a bit scary/intimidating. -1 star for scary decor read more

OMG I really should of listened to the reviews and got a kiddie size. I got the 1 scoop in a waffle cone and it was huge, I could not finish it. I got the chocolate creme pie and it was delicious. If you don't LOve chocolate avoid this because it's really rich. I went during COVID-19 so we couldn't really sit inside and the outside area was already being used. I popped my trunk and just sat there ( I have an suv), nice quiet area. I would visit again for sure! read more

Fabulous homemade ice cream and treats. You will be satisfied If you're ordering a sundae, just go for the one scoop "small". The scoops are the size of softballs and a two scoop sundae is huge! And make sure to try the hot fudge, which will remind you of the old Brigham's Ice Cream Shop's hot fudge (if you're old enough to remember Brigham's). read more

What a super cute game of thrones themed ice cream place. I got the signature honey bee ice cream with local honey comb in it and it was delicious! I loved the crunch of the little bits of cone and the ice cream was so smooth. My partner got the tiramisu and she loved it as well. We loved the decor and it was so fun to eat out of an old fashioned metal ice cream cup. The only reason for four stars was I tried a sample of the butter crunch- which was butterscotch with toffee and it was way too sweet. read more

Amazing amazing amazing. Now I am extremely picky about my icecream places. I live and breath icecream. I eat it for dinner most weeks. I am from Cumberland and have never been into the local places and I usually head over to Swansea for homemade hard icecream or lincoln for soft serve. Well no more! The keep meets all expectations. I love the decor. The theme looks amazing. So detailed, they even did the ceiling all fancy. Clearly taking pride in their establishment, this I love. Now the icecream. Two scoops in a waffle cone was soooooo much. Maybe just one scoop next time. The coffee was great and the cookie dough was good. It could use more dough but honestly, can't it always?! The staff was great. Gave us plenty of time to look the flavors over and joking around with us. All I can say is GO HERE for your icecream needs!!!!! read more

Worth driving from Providence--bring a cooler with ice packs and get pints of all the ones you like. I tried the chocolate, the Honey Bee, and the Nutella. All were terrific. There is a flavor called BNN (banana, Nilla wafer, and Nutella) that I have read about but haven't seen come up yet. Note that 1) specialty flavors vary each week; check their FB on Fridays for updates; 2) it's closed on Mondays; 3) it's in the same strip mall as Cumberland House of Pizza. You won't see "The Keep" on the strip mall sign next to the road. read more

I ordered a kiddie sized portion of blueberry cheesecake and it was AMAZING, perfectly hit the spot. Tons of amazing options, vegan, soft serve, by the cone or pint. The ice cream was terrific! But even more than that, the customer service is amazing. Quick story...Both my kids are lactose sensitive. We were talking about it and the cashier offered them each a lactaid!! We were floored by the kindness and consideration! Great ice cream and great people! read more

I've been here many times before but forgot to review it. Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. I'm from hopedale MA and drove here twice in one week!! So many flavors to choose from friendly staff prices are on the higher side as far as ice cream, but the quality is worth it! read more

Macari first worked for toy manufacturer Hasbro before launching a custom cabinetry business with another former Hasbro colleague. Today he is involved in multiple businesses. For a new venture, Macari decided to open his own brewery with Neveu, another former Hasbro employee. The partners acquired and completely renovated the circa 1872 Berkeley Mill boiler room building to house the brewery. They named it "Phantom Farms" after the Macari family's local apple orchard and bakery just down the road. Oscar Garrido and Andrea Riera, a husband-and-wife team from Chile, were hired as the head brewers. Since opening, Phantom Farms has become known for its farm-to-pint operation, its close connection to its namesake orchard, a historic taproom, and award-winning lagers. I recently visited Phantom Farms Brewing while I was in town for the day. I was scheduled to meet up with some other beer bloggers. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the restored historic building was. There was plenty of space upstairs and downstairs, indoors and outdoors, and the brewery is also family-friendly. After exploring all of the various rooms, I looked over the draught menu. There was an eclectic mix of beer styles as well as hard cider crafted with apples from the Phantom Farms Orchard. Between mingling with the other bloggers and playing some games of Biñho, I enjoyed pours of "Half Dark" (Czech Amber Lager), "Elegant Viking" (New England IPA), "Alternate Continuum" (Barrel-Aged Saison), and "Hypernova" (Barleywine). It was different and nice. Cupcakes- I ordered a lemonade cupcake and peach amaretto cupcake, just on a whim to taste their cakes. They use a heavy frosting that I didn't love and the cake was dry. It was the end of the day, so perhaps they had been sitting out all day but for a first time buyer, that's not good. I love cupcakes and have pretty high standards and I will not be ordering cupcakes from Dyane's. Candy - if you are looking for a place to get original homemade treats for an Easter Basket. Come to Dyane's. They have so many cute options and relevantly affordable. I even saw bunny cookies in a stick. So cute. Staff- the staff here is wonderful. Very personable and friendly. They asked if it was first time, they recommended favorites and they made the experience a pleasant one. That is actually why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 3.

The Keep has become one of our favorite places to grab ice cream, and considering it's only a short drive from our home in Lincoln, we find ourselves stopping by pretty often. It's such a fun, unique little shop that stands out from the typical seasonal ice cream stand. One thing I appreciate right away is the setup. There's plenty of parking, and because it's an indoor shop, you're not standing outside in the heat waiting for your turn. Instead, you walk into a cozy space with medieval-themed decor that's just plain fun. It's different without feeling over-the-top, and it gives the place its own personality. The staff has always been fantastic. We've been coming here for years, and every visit has been met with friendly faces and genuine patience. Even when there are people in line, I've never felt rushed while deciding what I wanted. Considering how many flavors they offer, that's a good thing. Speaking of flavors, I probably shouldn't admit how many I've worked my way through over the years. My personal favorites are the Cookie Dough, Cotton Candy, and Pistachio, but honestly, I haven't had one that disappointed me. Everything tastes fresh, rich, and homemade, and you can tell they take pride in what they're serving. The prices are very reasonable, especially when you see the portions. I usually order a medium in a cup, and it's more than enough. They definitely don't skimp on the scoops, so you're getting great value for your money. The last time we stopped in, we grabbed our ice cream, found a table, and spent a while playing a game of chess. It was one of those simple afternoons that reminded me why I like this place so much. Seriously the best ice cream around. All of it is freshly made in small batches in their shop. The honey ice cream is amazing, made from local honey. They tend to keep about a dozen or more different flavors on hand and change things up every couple of weeks so if you see something you think you'll like get it, cuz it may be gone next time. read more
