This place is well stocked with a nice selection for a small liquor store. They are the only liquor store within miles that are open til 2am. Most other stores are closed by midnight. They have limited park spaces in their lot located on the side street but there's plenty of street parking available. Best of all, the owner is OK with my dog. That's a huge plus right there! This is actually the liquor store that turned me on to my current favorite libation, Stone Brewery's Old Guardian (barleywine). The premium beer they sold was all priced appropriately, in fact, I think this liquor store is the cheapest I've ever found Old Guardian! The dude who ran the place was always smoking cigars, which when mixed with the numerous gun shaped tequila bottles kind of added to the ambience of the place. My dog loves this place. If you feel the need to read on beyond that: Great locally owned spot, the owner and his family are nice people and friendly. Good selection of beer and wine and liquor and snacks. Also, you can bring your dog. Seems the bad reviews are mostly complaints about prices--it's a liquor store, you might pay a little more than a grocery store but it's convenient and open later--and drunk people (it's located by a bar, not much they can do about their). Okay so I've been to this store 4 times within a year, 3 out of 4 times my Debit Card has had fraudulent Transactions in the same city in Random Bank's ATM. I'm 100% sure his liquor store was the only place i used it those days as i use cash more frequently. The fourth time i used cash but took my card out and locked it instantly, sure enough 2 hours later 2 - $500 transactions got denied (because i locked it). I bought a 750ml bottle of Casa Dragones , which can be bought at elsewhere like even Korker down the street for $50. Papa's Liquors charged me $100 for it, and mentioned it to me only after I had paid. I always try to shop family owned and support small family business, especially after the Pandemic. However, I'd rather pay Total Wines the $50 and be treated fairly to begin with. read more

Last week - during COVID, when almost everyone is implementing safety precautions to keep customers and workers safe - I made the mistake of going in again. The owner accused me of having a fake licence and proceeded to lecture me for about ten minutes. I simply said to call the cops if you're gonna hold my ID. Do not buy anything from this store. I have been here twice in the last two weeks. I bought two bottles of Veuve (yellow label) for my birthday to the tune of $130. I commented on the fact it was really expensive and the charmer behind the counter said "too bad, you pay for the convenience". I was in an exceptionally good mood due to the fact it was my birthday and just ignored his acrimonious remark. Fast forward to yesterday and the same bucket of sunshine was there. I picked up a Pinot Noir that was labeled 14.99. He rings it up and says 27.99. I said, doesn't that sticker say 14.99? He said "no, you pay what I charge you, the stock boy made a mistake". I said " legally you need to honor the price you have the wine labeled". At this point he started scraping the tag off and said "there, it's not mislabeled any more". I said "fine, I will get a different bottle". He let's me look for another bottle and then walks over and says "you know what woman, I am not selling you anything, get out of my store". Mind you it is 9pm and I am not some scumbag who gets thrown out of liquor stores. I just wanted a bottle of wine. I turned and said :excuse me"? He said "get out, I am not selling you anything!" There was another customer in the store watching this jerk yell at me with his mouth hanging open as he heard the entire exchange. I just turned and left, fuming. So to YOU, the massive prick that owns and/or runs this store, you're a pig. Yelling at women who call you out on unfair business practices is a glaring example of your poor business integrity and complete lack of manners. Your store is not convenient, in fact Albertsons is right across the street and I bought two bottles of better wine for the same price you were trying to charge me for one. I have never in my life been treated so rudely by someone for no reason. I also have never written a review but this certainly deserves to be my first. This place is overpriced and even worse, has some entitled douchebag working behind the counter.
