The cleanliness and quality of products are my reasons why I went to this Bristol Farms location. This upscale market is definitely fancy and worth going to for certain exclusive items that only they carry. Always a lively atmosphere, parking can be a challenge. This is located in a crowded, but fun shopping center! My favorite item is their matzah ball soup and fresh juice selections! The customer service team are always helpful and friendly, and with the high prices they charge, they need to step it up more! Their selection and store layout are impressive. And yes, they are higher priced than Whole Foods, which is why I buy a very few items at Bristol Farms. Overall, I had a positive experience. I love this store. I wish they had one closer to my home, but my wife and I will drive here when we need fresh fish. Since Santa Monica Seafood closed in Costa Mesa, this is the only place that has premium large filets of fresh fish. Yes, it's pricey, but you get what you pay for. My wife and I went last Sunday morning. We can't just purchase the one particular item we intended to shop for. This place is AMAZING! They have one of the biggest cheese islands I have ever seen, an international section with great selections, and of course, POKE!!! It has been my lifelong dream to get bowl of Hawaiian style poke without rice and boy did they deliver!! I filled one of their poke bowls about halfway with poke and it was only $13!! Bristol Farms is a great spot to come for lunch. The sushi and poke bar is amazing and always feels super fresh and healthy. It is one of my favorite quick lunch options. The sandwiches and soups are solid too, and they have a really good selection of protein bars and specialty items. I was very impressed. I grabbed the greenest kale salad I've ever seen plus some proteins. It is $11.99 a pound and well worth it because I ate it for three days. Also pro tip at Bristol Farms you can go to the cookie counter and ask them for a sample of their chocolate chip cookie and they will give it to you. It is warm and it is gooey and if you really really like it it's only $4.00 a cookie. There's a cafe are inside you can sit at also. Easy parking. I'm in here ALL the time. I was just in there 12/40/25 getting a birthday card and I couldn't go to self checkout because they don't take cash. So I go in a long line with just one card and a very kind lady in front of me told me to go ahead of her. So reluctantly I did and when I got to the register the cashier Heather B very rudely told me "There was someone in front of you." I was in shock of how she was speaking to me. I told her that that nice lady let me go ahead of her and even the lady told Heather B that "she told me to go ahead." It's inexcusable and insulting implying that I'm cutting the line. 8/10/24 Another browsing experience to see what this supermarket has to offer. Just like Gelson's, I consider Bristol Farms as another upscale place to purchase groceries. They offer quality fresh produce, meats, dairy & other essentials. I like the layout & aesthetics, aisles are neatly arranged, so are the produce--see photos. You can tell the staff take the time for the products to look pristinely stacked. The delicatessen looks impressive with a variety of foods to select from. The salad bar boasts fresh ingredients, also selling at $12/lb. Everything at this store looks well maintained. The floral dept also looks like it has a good selection of plants & fresh flowers although I think that Gelson's has more tasteful arrangements. Depending on what you're looking for or what you're into, both Gelson's & Bristol Farms are equally great upscale supermarkets. These two are not in the same league as Ralphs or Albertsons. To each his/her own. If you're looking for top/quality products with equally higher price tag, this is it. read more

*Corona del Bristol* I've been going to Bristol Farms ever since they opened on the Westside of Los Angeles. Their first & only location was in Westwood. I went often for the Poke' Bar because there wasn't anything else like it back then. Let alone finding Poke' in LA. I've posted Yelp reviews for some other Bristol Farms locations so I'll make this one brief -- if there's such a thing for my reviews ;-) Recently spent nearly a week in Newport Beach, so a visit to this Bristol Farms bordering CDM was must-see eatery, for some minimal groceries. And sushi too. Myself & wifey were impressed with this Bristol Farms in general. The layout is a little different than others, and that's okay. Noticed a Bristol Cafe, that I've really enjoyed for lunch or a snack at other locations. The vibe here is similar to other BF's. But the clientele of course differs Yes, grocery stores have vibes. I like that there's a cold food bar here, because some BF's don't. Too bad there's no cold food bars like this at the Palm Desert and Westchester locations. Love a few items at the hot food bar, that seem to exist at all BF's. Noticed a couple things here I haven't seen at others, which is nice, and looked good. My favorite thing at BF is the Sushi Combo Platter, so wifey & I picked one up to share as part of our dinner. The sushi was very good & fresh as usual...and appreciate it contained shrimp roll opposed to the ole fake krab Cali roll. But the rice was slightly undercooked. Oh well. Wanted a vegan donut from the bakery. They're really good and I like to have one every now & then. But there were none, which is odd, because I saw an abundance of everything else in the self-serve display case. Even the nice gal in the bakery was surprised none were there. When I asked, she says "there's more" and thought I was overlooking them, so she came out from behind the counter to check. Nope. "Maybe someone is having a party and came in earlier and bought them all?" I say to her with a smile. Oh well. No biggie. The guy who assisted us at the fish/butcher counter, was extremely friendly & helpful. Prime dinner time on a Saturday night, this section was jammed packed, yet he & his team were all smiles. Picked up a couple other things while here. But unfortunately the organic red leaf lettuce had no flavor, which disappointed because BF usually has outstanding produce. Oh well. Oh geeze, I'm so sorry... we have driven the approximate 25 miles to Newport's Bristol Farm's cafe for many, many years. We hadn't been in a few yrs (due to a multitude of personal reasons!), so we made the effort about a week ago. The welcoming atmosphere is gone. The menu we loved is gone. The sandwich/servers are gone. One man, who was def not fluent in English, was working the deli section (2 PM). We had to repeat our sandwich order three times before he "got it." He was nice enough, but being nice doesn't carry the job. He had to constantly check the menu list he had on his side of the counter, to see what was needed to make the Cubano sandwich for me, and turkey sandwich for my husband. Instead of thin-slice turkey, my husband got chunks of meat on his ciabatta roll, falling out the bottom with each attempted bite. I think he put brisket on my Cubano instead of the traditional pork. I had to ask or remind him for the pickles on my sandwich ("required" for a Cuban!), and I didn't dare ask him to warm it like a Cuban is supposed to be. Even more important, and lucky he finally understood, I am allergic to Emmental cheese. I told him so three times of my allergy, and asked for plain Swiss cheese. Prices were fairly reasonable, but unfortunately, we ,very tearfully, will not be returning to Bristol Farms for lunch and subsequent "shopping adventure" in their grocery dept. I am not used to writing negative-type reviews, so this one really hurts since we have always loved Bristol Farms, despite their high prices for groceries. read more

DO NOT buy steak at Bristol Farms! Or at least the ones they claim to be prime cut. I just spent $39/lb on steaks that absolutely did not taste prime. We usually buy our prime ribeye at Gelson's or Costco but we went to Bristol Farms bc we got a coupon in the mail. It was so very disappointing. read more

I like this Bristol Farms location. I stopped by here earlier this week for some small grocery items. Bristol Farms reminds me a bit of Whole Foods and Gelsons. Pretty pretty expensive to grocery shop here. But I was aware of that, so no need in complaining about it. I got a few items I wanted after leaving work. They have a great deli and produce areas. The store carries good, upscale products, produce, meats, etc. but it is way past the point where it's needed to be remodeled. It's very depressing on the inside - drab, dark colored finishes, and generally worn out. This is a great store that has everything including fresh seafood, steak and sushi. They had a special for a BOGO Spicy tuna burrito and they were so popular I had to wait for them to make it. I've had their spicy tuna hand rolls before and they were tasty and filling. I've never had their spicy tuna burrito and wanted to give it a try. Sadly, there was barely any tuna inside and it wasn't spicy at all. I won't be getting these any more and will stick with the hand rolls. My husband loves chocolate chip cookies and I've had the Bristol Farms cookie on my radar for some time. We finally came here and tried the original cookie (dark chocolate walnut) from their bakery section. The cookie is served to you warm. It's loaded with dark chocolate chips & walnuts, not overly sweet, soft & gooey interior with a crispy outside to hold it all together. So so good and can't beat the price at $3.75 for that size cookie! We initially bought one to try and then went back in to buy one more to take back home. read more
