It was cheese ravioli with a sweet cheese inside it. I'm going to say the fryer was not hot enough to do the job. The breading was falling off. It was not crispy or crunchy. The shrimp carbonara was well-made, except it wasn't carbonara. Absolutely not a single piece of bacon. And it was a little bland. And I had to ask for cheese. Timing is everything. Literally, I was starting to eat my toasted ravioli and here comes the main dish, 3 minutes tops. There are no half portions of toasted ravioli. So be prepared to eat a bushel of toasted ravioli. Hint, hint, it's perfect for two people, maybe three in a pinch. I was just over it and ate the not-carbonara and, they tried really hard to make up for it. In the end, they did the only thing they could do, they heavily discounted the meal. I would definitely eat there again and even take my wife. I think that it wouldn't be a bad place to even have a group, they had a group in the next room and they were living it up. Sounded like they were having a great time. And maybe that's part of the problem, not enough staff for a busy night, maybe the kitchen was backed up? I don't know, I'd give them another shot, they have been there for a long time for a reason, and are obviously a popular spot I think I had a rare mediocre experience. The manager and the server were genuinely shocked at the level of ineptitude of the cook.

Here, the veal parm was hot, tasty, ample size and cooked almost perfectly*. {I personally like it a bit pink inside, *but it was NOT overcooked and was NOT TOUGH which is more typical here at the lake area. } We had 6 PM reservations for our anniversary dinner to try it out for the first time. Emma, our server, was EXCELLENT! We were seated within 5 minutes of checking in. Our server assistant, Mya, was at our table and took an order for wine and appetizers, which came quickly. Emma, our main server was cheerful and attentive throughout our meal. After ordering our main dishes, the food came very promptly and the place was full. Prices were quite reasonable for the good quality which was more superior than the other "New Italian" eatery in the area and personally, better quality. The decor was changed which is nice and open. It was a bit loud, but not much louder than any other open spaces. That would be expected as the dining room was full. We did not see the owners as some reviews have stated, but I would have thanked them profusely for having great service and food.
