In 2013, we were shopping for our tree a little bit late in the season. We wanted a Noble, but the…read moreplace we've gone to before for Nobles was "sold out." So, we ended up at Mountain View. We were the only ones there. The man who greeted us (the owner?) was very nice and welcoming. There were still quite a few trees to choose from. We found a great tree, and cut it down (yes, it was growing in the ground, not trucked in from Oregon), and had a lovely chat with the man as he rang us up and helped tie it to our car. The shop was lovely, too. We were planning to go back again in 2014, but I broke my foot, and so we decided to finally break down and buy a fake tree. I would recommend Mountain View Tree Farm.

Even though our kids have grown up, they still make time to go with us. The farm is dog-friendly. You can bring them along, too. The tree selection is excellent. They are healthy and come in a wide variety of types and sizes. The staff is very helpful. We always visit the cafe to sip on cider. Their fries are fantastic. It's well laid out and full of so many great ideas. The advice I have received is invaluable and their classes are always extremely helpful. As you can tell, I'm a bit of a novice gardener but Jessica never made me feel dumb and answers all my questions without a hint of annoyance. She simply wants you to be successful. - cute little nursery -…read more It's a hidden gem that's a bit remote from everything else. They have plenty of herbs and fruit trees with fruits already, and many different kinds of maple trees. I got a golden muscat grape here that I've never seen anywhere else. I also saw their current trees with tons of fruits, but I didn't get it in the end. They also have a good indoor section with a good selection of indoor plants and succulents, and all of their plants look healthy. The nursery cat is also friendly and welcomes rubs. I asked the owner(?) about growing the golden muscat, and she said it's easy but it will take a few years to take off. They don't have a ton of stuff like the flower world as this is likely a family business, but you might be able to find something you like here...
